Anon, you’re right in a way and wrong in another. Yes, I’m not looking to settle down with a broke woman.

What I want is a woman in her 30s, or around my age bracket, who has put her shit together. A woman doing well for herself not someone who will frustrate me by depending on me 100%.

So if you call that "looking for a financially independent woman," then yes, you’re right. But you’re wrong when you say I want her to shoulder family responsibilities. Marriage is partnership. I’m not financially strong right now, and it’s not a shame to admit that. So why would I knowingly marry someone who’s also broke? How do we raise children healthily?

Don’t try to "broke-shame" me here. I don’t fake my reality. If I’m rich, I’m rich. If I’m not, I’m not. What’s the point in lying to yourself? I’ll never do that. I’ve had people from here mail me, and when I check the considerations, it’s just not obtainable. So there’s no point stringing a woman along when you know it’s not going to work out.

I’m not desperate for marriage, even though I do want it. I’d rather take my time and get it right, than rush into it and rush out of it.
