  1. Just made okro soup now with enough seafood. I love making okro with bitterleaf. That's how I enjoy it compared to the normal ugu because it gives that slightly bitter, earthy taste that cuts the sliminess of okro.

Growing up, I never liked okro soup. My mom knew that too well. With time, I began to enjoy it. These days, in order to enjoy it very well, I use stockfish, smoked fish, periwinkle, prawns, and protein. Exactly how I just made it. The last time Mom visited, she asked if a woman made the meal I served her. I laughed and said no. She rated it 10/10 and said that even at that, I should be serious about getting married. I smiled and said noted.

When some men say they can't cook or don't know how to cook, I really appreciate myself for not being in that category. Honestly, hunger would have dealt with me. In a week I spend more than ₦30,000 on food for just me and my cousin. Imagine if there was a wife and kids. Mehn, I celebrate every married man out there providing for their home. It's not easy, I must say.

    4. Hmmmm !Teejay the cook, another skill to the list. The aroma sure must wake hunger,I guess. You are really enjoying yourself regardless.
Can I suggest?Try this particular black dried fish.It is called 'Asa' or 'mangala',if I'm not mistaken. It gives this kinda special taste to soup.
A sure way to cut costs when it comes to spending on food is to buy foodstuff in bulk,if you have the money.Just locate all these local food markets, they sell in good quantities at cheaper price.

    6. Yeah, Anon 20:58,

I know that fish. I use it sometimes. You're right, it brings good taste to a meal. I sometimes use it in making stew, especially ofe akwu.

Yes, I buy in bulk, my dear, due to the nature of my job that doesn't come all the time. That's just my saving grace. There is a market here called Creek Road Market in the town axis, at the Nembe Waterside area. That's where I do bulk buying, especially crayfish, dried fish, etc, relatively cheap. I buy garri, rice, beans , yam and other necessary condiments as well. My kitchen looks like a woman's kitchen 😂 A Bv that was on video call with me sometime ago saw it and exclaimed wow!!!

  2. We had this neighbor who appeared to be the poorest in the hood. This man could borrow almost anything from other neighbors. Sometimes sef if he borrow money from person, he no go quick pay back. Las las e go end for quarrel, or the person go use annoyance saraa the money to him.

His wife nko? She dey ask others for watermelon, salt, Maggi, pepper, tomatoes and other basic cooking ingredients. She go tell you say na borrow, say if she go market tomorrow, she go buy and give you back. Their children were often dashed clothes by the other families too. This continued for a long time until one day their landlord increased the rent and e no too tey, they announced they would be moving out.
Amebos were already saying that house rent power don pass the family so them want find one single room somewhere cheaper and move into. But they were wrong. This family invited both the landlord and all the tenants to the opening of their new house. They had actually built their own house and were moving into it. People who attended the housewarming said the house no small o. Drinks and fried chicken sef yapa.

It could be that they hit one kind money overnight because I no know wetin I go call this one

Sometimes, the one you're helping fit be your helper if you check well. Wo, I pause

    2. Some people are like that. They would love to eat from others but keep theirs. We have some of them here whose husbands are well-to-do and provide adequately for them, but they still scramble for giveaways, thereby denying those who genuinely need it. I have seen a landlady scrambling for a giveaway. Or was it someone who got a giveaway and a few days later bought a car worth over 10 million.

However, I will say, it is better to be the giver than the beggar. May I also make this clear. If you ever bill anyone and they come through for you, be very grateful to them. See them in that moment as your God. I said so because it is not easy for anyone to debit themselves to credit you. E no easy, I must say. I no fit lie for you. Sometimes when we do such, it is not because we have enough or that things are rosy with us. We just understand and know that feeling of not having and asking. Be grateful always and know when to stop, otherwise it becomes greed and unhealthy.

    5. They must have forgone so many things just to achieve that.Investment can drain one financially. According to your narrative,it might be something that they started building small small. Such investment is not something you can just wake up and dive in.

  4. A lot of you will watch Uche Jombo’s ‘Unholy Anger’ and feel pity for the wife and curse the man and his side piece but still come and be supporting Yul and Judy Austin!

When you watch that movie, consider the emotions you felt and then actually ask yourself if you’ve been on the right side of this saga!

I don talk my own. Make we go chop the Agege bread I just made this night with my water water beans 😍

  5. So I was watching this interview with a farmer( cow rearer). He was asked about the quantity of milk they extract from each cow per day.
He answered that they don't get much like before, not to talk of enough quantities that can be supplied and serve as consumables.
I was like, what's the actual source of local milks they sell at the market? As we are made to believe that the source of milk we drink on a daily basis is from cow milk...... Just asking.
I'm curious though. The rate of adulterated foods and all kinds of harmful concoctions they mix and call it food is alarming.Dem fit package dog milk sell join.
