  8. personally i dont care if they do,and i will even encourage them to collect more.
we are quick to abuse them for collecting bribes but how many of us can face death under the appalling conditions these people face death daily?

we expect them to face shina rambo, anini and deadly armed robbers of today with fully automatic weapons while police have only 1970s ak47.

the metropolitan policeman that lived next to my former accommodation is an ordinary corporal, but he and his wife have a mercedes benz new model and a new model vauxhall corsa, they live in their own mortgage 3 bed house in a nice neighbourhood why will he collect or solicit for bribes?

the ones that were killed and their families paid compensation,we heard how the families collected the money from the wife and gave her 20,000..soe of them have not even been paid as officer in charge has swallowed the money..we also saw the state of the police college and also police barracks.

policemen are transferred to a new state without any transport or accommodation arranged for them.since they can't afford even a one room they sleep in empty cells in police station and then bath in front of police station very early in the morning..a policeman who is yet to eat breakfast because he doesn't have one naira in his pocket you expect him to stand attention in the boiling sun with added weight of their old rifles and do a good job

    1. They're job is a choice.
Would you condone police brutality in say Europe because their job is high risk. This shameful officer is armed. Perhaps you loot public funds (you wish lol) but I don't and am not responsible for the welfare of Nigerian Police.

  11. Am with lucabree on this one and fyi, its not even ak47. 47's are for the bigboy officers and in serious cases. Most of them still use this manual reload gun...that's y d shots or robbers go...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and their reply is pa-pa-pa (before the recoil after each shot)

  14. Lucabrece on point. As much as I don't encourage bribery @ any level,am also of the opinion that these police officers should be appreciated n better motivated to discharge deir duties.
