Low Sperm Count Is Real...Nigerian Men Stop Deceiving Yourselves!

There are so many Nigerian men walking around with low sperm count, they don't believe such exists and they have been put the guilt of their childless marriage on their wives head!

I happen to know of someone who went for checkup, was diagnosed of having low sperm count, rejected it in Jesus' name and continued believing God for a child whilst his family members have tagged his wife a 'witch'
DO NOT BRING RELIGION INTO LOW SPERM COUNT PROBLEM PLEASE!

Please go for check up and start taking your treatment if you are in this category..low sperm count is not a life sentence in jail,it is just a medical condition that can be handled.

Some women are presently living with men who have refused to go for treatment, some have been trying their luck with other women.....story.

That brings me to the question..is there a local cure for low sperm count?what about people who mix small stout with egg and say it thickens the sperm?
low sperm count has nothing to do with old age oh..i don't know if serial lovers suffer from this sha.

Do you know you have low sperm count but have refused to go for help?you let people call your wife names because you would rather it is her than you?that is so unfair!

Are you a wife who is looking for ways to convince your man to go for medical checkup to see whats wrong?you are scared lest he says you refer to him as being less of a man?

Abeg tell us your stories, some men will read this and hopefully have a change of heart and go get help....NOW!

  1. Is there any enlightened man that takes likely the issue of Low Sperm Count these days? I don't think so, but if there is, that's quite foolish. It's like taking the issue of HIV/AIDS likely.

They are many oh!forget enlightenment talk, they are called typical African men'!
These men have gone to find out they are the cause of the childlessness in the home, but as typical African men' that can never be wrong, they keep quiet and let the brunt be passed to their wives!may God find it in his heart to forgive such men,Amen!

    1. First of all,be sure abt your diagnosis, because there are different causes of low sperm count, because my husband had blood infection,so it after he treated it that he was placed on drugs ∂α̲̅t will help improve the sperm quality and motility. But please look for a good hospital, where they can give you a correct breakdown of the causes, becuse that is one of the reasons I have suffered till we met Dr Gearge. God bless ∂α̲̅t man for me.

  5. Thank you, for this post aunty stella,my husband has low count(OLIGOSPERMIA) and since we were told it was a condition that could be handled,I chose to stay with him till,he treats himself. But while waiting he decided to try someone else outside cos according to him,his friend suggested that medical results could faulty at times, and trust me, he confessed to me after he had tried and failed outside. I forgave him because at least,he came out clean to me.although sometimes, It crosses my mind that he cheated. I just pray he completes his treatment soonest and hopefully his count would have improved,so I can get pregnant and have my very own baby, because I have gone through a lot while thinking I was the one with the fault, did series of test and the most painful one I did was H.S.G,which my new doctor later told me wasn't necessary cos I have been preggnant before.

  6. Men with low sperm count won't go for medical check up cos of deir pride. Dey will kip blaming d wife who is innocent. Nonsense. Thank God am still single, if any man refuses to go 4 medical check up with me in d future, I swear I will drug him and carry him dere myself. Selfish men.

  7. Thank you Stella for putting this up for many to read. We come from a background where obvious problems to us are seen as a spiritual ones. Unfortunately, some men and mother in-laws will not learn and people are not there to help in enlightening many of our families on this kind of problem.
On the case of stout and egg, it is not really a remedy for low sperm count. If it thickens the sperm, it does not mean that it has solved the ailment. However, there are some herbal medicines claimed by Herbal doctors to be a good remedy for low sperm count. I have not heard of anyone commenting about their potency.
Things we should learn about low sperm count are the reasons for it and how to treat it. If we do this, then it will really help us.

  9. Ladies! This is important, before Marriage while doing ur Genotype, Bloodgroup, Retroviral test, insist that he goes for Sperm count test oo, especially if u have a Godly relationship, the type that won't touch u b4 Marriage cos of Religious Reasons(some use that one to cover up some things, worst things than the topic).because u will be the one to be blamed later.
Recently a Friend that got married this year, started having problems with her husband, I don't think they are still together, most people assumed she was the cause because before Marriage she led A very rough life, but it is been whispered that the Man has azoospermia(no sperm count) how Devastating, the poor girl is just they acceptiing all the blame because she doesn't wont to let out the real reason.
For Oligospermia it can be boosted Medically , I'm seeing some google results for treatment of Azoospermia but I'm not too sure.

  10. Yes Nigerian men always blaming the women, when they can have kids. Their stupid machismo/ ego makes me sick. They use that opportunity to have a mistress/ 2nd wife, yet those women too can concieve. I really despise when some of these men make the lives of their wives a living hell, instead of going to the doctor and have an examination done on them. Nigerian men keep your bloated egos in check, we are not in the stone age.

  16. Its so unfortunate men are the way they are. I know a man diagnosed with low sperm count whose wife eventually left him for another man . His wife now has four kids with another man. Deliberately, the abandoned husband chose to marry a single woman, advanced in age, with no children. Now everyone thinks that only the woman is the one who has got a problem. Only one or two people in the family know the real truth! Unfortunately, his new wife only also later found out his true condition after she had got married to him. Now she bears all the comments from people over her 'childlessness' and cannot explain to people that she could have at least had a slim chance if her husband had been virile. The things that men do!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Women annoy me sometimes with their foolishness. If your husband won't go for testing, you are sure the problem isn't with you, and you want to stay in the marriage, quietly find another man to impregnate you. Chop, clean mouth! A man that can't even entertain the possibility that he might have fertility issues is probably too egotistic to question who scored the goal. He'll take credit for it and everyone is happy. Just make sure he doesn't catch you cheating though! Sometimes you have to think like a man. I am a man and I am telling you what most men would do if they were in your shoes. Stop suffering yourself because of foolishness please.

  23. Hey everyone, i'm a 31 year old dude and after 1.5 years with no child in my marriage, I went for semen analysis test. Results came out and sperm count was very low. Started treatment March last year and by June my wife was pregnant. Now we have the cutest 5 months old baby boy in the universe. Low sperm count ain't a curse so MEN out there should get tested and stop believing that the fault lies with the woman. I also didn't let family members harass my wife cos I told my folks the issue was from my end. We were all matured about it and all happy at the end of the day.

  26. Sensitive issues such as these should be discussed intelligently and with the sensitivity it deserves. The way and manner Stella brings up all these issues relating to men is beginning to sound like being bitchy.
While I am in support of people supporting their spouses and getting tested, I resent the way and manner these conversations are handled. Hopefully, some women will not be led to go confront their men and ending up with swollen eyes.

Let us discuss these issues maturedly.

The testicles are very delicate that is why they are located outside our warm body, take good care of yours.

  38. @ comments 55 and 56, I visited Dr Amole of Lister Medical centre of 10B Obanta Avenue, Off Ajao Road, Off Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja (01-9504783, 08033028743 ) based on a friend's referral. He is very good and would recommend the right tests for you to run at the lab. Results of the test would determine the treatment you require. My treatment might not be what is needed because I required a serious sperm count boost. Took quite a number of injections to get it sorted out. Sorry I cant remember the name again.

Alternatively you can walk into Pathcare Lab (thats where I ran my tests twice as directed by my Dr) opposite DSTV office on Tiamiyu Savage V/Island for a semen analysis test. If there is a problem with the result, then you can take it to Dr Amole or any other good doctor for analysis and commence treatment.

  39. I got married Aug last year...prior to that, I lead a very clean life; my hubby was my 2nd r/ship/boyfriend so I never had multiple sex partners, never had STD, never got pregnant so no D & C history.
I really wasn't expecting to get pregnant immediately after the wedding even though all my friends who got married the same period were showcasing babies all over the place, I wasn't perturbed ( it will come when it will come abi? naive me)
Due to my mother's persistence, during a routine medical check up together with my hubby (he is prone to hbp so is on medication) I brought the issue up; doctor was like 'since the marriage is yet to clock one year he is not really worried but since we are heading towards the one year mark he will run some tests'. I went for follicle tracking tests which came out ok (in fact, the woman that did the tracking said I have beautiful eggs...yeah but beautiful babies sound better; am not planning to make an omelette abeg)
Hubby was told to go for a sperm count & he did without any hassles (yeah he is that kind of man cos I know some guys who will never agree to do such thinking they are deceiving the woman not knowing they are fooling themselves) & lo & behold, it turned out that his count is low.
He broke down & I could feel how heartbroken he was ( he is crazy about babies & is forever spoiling my nephews & niece so I know how bad he felt) he kept saying ' so I'm the one who has been delaying our babies' & kept apologizing
He did nothing wrong so there was nothing to forgive & I told him so. He is currently on drugs & is due for another test in 3 weeks time (hopefully the count will be up)
What am I trying to say? Our men should man up & undergo tests so as to know if there is anything wrong. Women keep getting the side looks & brunt of the blame anytime there is delayed pregnancy & some doctors are not even helping out ( some shield the men & will refuse to discuss anything in the presence of the wife, leaving the wife in the dark but the wife's wahala will be broadcasted everywhere ) mine is handling our issues in the open & it is helping us manage the situation better ( I sometimes purchase the drugs if my hubby couldn't make out the time to)
Impregnating Doris, Bisi & Alice when you were sowing your wild oats does not mean the sperm count will forever touch the skies, it can fluctuate & you won't know unless you go for tests.

  41. the man may get tested b4 marriage and the test will not be bad. I've got the experience. I got pregnant after my traditional wedding in 2011. I wedded in 2012. By April 2012, I delivered a beautiful baby girl but she died the next day. After months, I couldn't take in again and we did test and we found that hubby has a low sperm count. This is passed 1yr and 6months that iv bn trying to conceive so my dear the question is what happened to the sperm quality all of a sudden. So my dear, test b4 marriage is not a prove that sperm can't be low anytime.
