Nigerian Lady Dupes Her Ghanaian Friend And Vanishes Into Thin Air.....Read Jessica's Story.

                                                   Jessica (l) and Ruth(R)

Jessica contacted me from Facebook after someone advised her to and  after hearing her story,i have spent several days asking questions and re-reading the story.
I just concluded with her on the phone and i am including her contact phones in Ghana and she says it is fine with her.if you doubt this story, call her.
Please Ruth since you vanished into thin air,its been difficult reaching you, contact me for your own story if you read this.

Read the story.

Hello Stella
Am Jessica Shalom Torkornoo from Ghana. A friend from Nigeria introduced your blog to me.  She asked me to send my story to you that you will be kind to help me out.

I schooled and grew up in Nigeria. My family relocated to Ghana in 2006. I am a fashion designer with my own company, JESSICATORKS CLOTHING. Early this year, i placed an advert on my page for workers, tailors and a personal assistance to be specific. Then i got a message from an old school mate of mine, Ruth Abu.(Christ the King International School, Gbagada) that she wants to work in the fashion industry and working with me will be a privilege so i offered to help.

She came to Ghana in may 2013 and stayed in a guest house for two weeks. After which she tried looking for a permanent accommodation due to mounting bills at the guest house, but she had no money. As a result she had to resort to sleeping in my shop awaiting money her boyfriend was supposed to send her for rent. I was very unhappy about it so i spoke with my parent about it. This paved way for her to enjoy the safety and comfort of sharing my room with me,including feeding, just for a couple of weeks. This turned into months and gradual became acceptable, automatically making her a part of my family.

Jessica in blue and Ruth in white

In September, i decided to rent a place for myself and some other worker of mine, including Ruth. This was part of my expansion drive for my company and workers in general, who might have problems. We finally got a place big enough for all of us. We made a part payment. The day we where going to make the final payment, we noticed there was a problem with the house which we did not notice at first. There was hence a refund of the initial payment, which was to be used to secure a more suitable place. This task was left to Ruth to execute.
She finally got a new place. Payment was on the 15/10/2013. But i could not make it because i hard another appointment. Unfortunately, she could not make the payment that day.

Only for me to ask for the money on 16/10/2013 . 7, 200 Ghana cedis in total and 5000 was missing out of the money. We tried searching for the money in the house but there was no luck. All her actions and the story of how the money  got missing became very suspicious.

I  Insisted i needed the money to secure the house so i don't loose it.  Then she offered to help in getting the money. That she called her mother to transfer the money. We waited till the day she promised the transfer will be done, which was 18/10/2013. Nothing happened. Then asked for Monday to do the transfer which should have been 21/102013. Only for use to go church on Sunday, 20/10/2013, she told me she was going to buy chewing gum. we have not seen Ruth Abu till date leaving her bag in the church with me. When i got home and opened her bag, she hard her cloth and everything you can think of for a trip. It done on me she hard run away with my money leaving all her cloth in my room. I tried getting all her document to see if i can get through to her parents, i realised all her documents were gone as well. Please, i just need your platform to help in locating her.

I considered her a sister. Came calling for my help here in Ghana, i didn't hesitate. I gave her a job and accommodation till she decided to disappear with thousands of money intended for the expansion of the company i put years of sacrifices and sweat in.
This are my contacts if any body has any information that could help in locating her please.do help. +233 0206710122. 0269612757.  you can find me on facebook as  Jessica shalom torks.

Please i have attached photos of Ruth Abu . Age, 26.
i know you will want to get the facts of this story straight before you put it on your platform. Please contact me if you have any questions. God bless you.

ADDENDUM

I did not think it was important to show you this but after reading some of the comments on your the post, i figured i should.
She normally uses my phone to brows. Unfortunately for her, she left her face book open on my bb.so i checked it on sunday when she was not showing up.there was  no activity.i sent her lots of messages since she was my friend on fb,  she did not respond, on monday, which was the following day,  i checked her messages. This is what i saw. I immediately took a pic of it.cos i Knew sooner or later she would log me out.
Ruth shopping on facebook after disappearing...lol

Because she found out i had browsed her page, the following day i tried opening her page again i could not.  I found out she also blocked the lady that asked me to get in touch with you. And sent her a very funny message which she took a pic of and sent to me,funny msg below.
After i got the message, i called her sister to find out if she hard seen her sister Ruth.just to be sure of what i read from the lady. And she said her sister was on her way to her (iloren) i also asked her if she sent a message on behalf of her sister to somebody through fb saying she was dead. She said no. She obviously did not know.

*Ruth if you exist, please get in touch to clear your name.

    6. Who knows if the story is true. People could go to any lengths to tarnish people's reputation. If true though, let this be a lesson to all. Leave People you knew in the past, where they belong, in the past. People change as the years go by and you never know. As for Ruth, if this is true, is it worth all this for 5K Ghanaian Cedis? If you get caught, your fingers will be on the butchers block. Or is this a boyfriend snatching story twisted in all directions since Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned? Na you sabi.

  11. Jessica this is truly a sad story.
But I got to say this, one way to recognise a dupe is by their lack of integrity. And you should have noticed this ones she stayed in a hotel for two weeks and had no money to pay for house rent. Who moves to a strange country when they have no planned means of survival? A dupe. A fraudster.
And when she over stayed in your family home? That was evidence No2.
Anyways, my take is that Ruth is still in Ghana, maybe not still in the same city, but definitely in Ghana.
Pray about this though, God will give you justice.

And for anyone who pays back evil for good, pls be warned its a law and a principle. What you do unto others is what will be done to you in most cases double fold. And its whether GOOD or BAD.

  21. i know both Jessica and Ruth, they were my juniors in secondary school. Very good friends oh! both were boarders at some point.
Ruth has always been queer, so i am not surprised.
yes jessica is ghanian, her dad used to work in nigeria but they left after a while back to ghana, they are very comfortable. well above average and her clothing line in ghana is doing very well. was planning on giving her my measurement on my next trip to ghana sef.
its unfortunate that helping an old friend from secondary school and getting positive results has become a herculean task. cos many dont appreciate. she cant be lieing about such because it takes a lot to send out false info about a close friend from high school.
Ruth had a brother-Peter Abu. He was a rascal in school always serving punishments. ruth was queer and always acting dodgey, trying to outsmart everyone else.
Ruth, i know you will see this. i am highly disappointed.

  22. Wrong move. My advise would have been to file a missing persons report with the police. Then let them expand their search. Making an assumption that she fled may turn out to be wrong or right. Lets do things right. Putting it on social media is not the best way.

  42. 5000 Cedis could be $5000 or maybe the old Cedis. It doesn't matter. What is important here is that the girl is missing. The question is,
    1. Did she abscond with the money?
    2. Was she abducted?
    3. Is she a victim of a money doubling scam?

There are real troubling questions here. We are all aware of what goes on and how a rush to conclusion may be disastrous to the people involved (Remember Cynthia).

Please Stella as much as you are breathing fire and brimstone and abusing everybody, nobody has monopoly of wisdom. Let a proper report be made and a search be conducted. If the girl fled to Nigeria, The Border Authorities will have her record of departure.

But my own thot is that Jessica murdered her friend maybe knowingly or by mistake then she wants to quickly get suspicion off herself when the body is found. That is why she is claiming ruth disappeared with money and she is telling her fake story via a public, world wide forum. I just pray it is not Ruth's body they find o

  54. Some people are saying how much is 5k Ghana Cedis, do you think it's Naira? The exchange rate as at today is N80.45k to 1 Ghana Cedi, do the maths. She worked for her money, so if it's N5 or N5,000, it really doesn't matter. The point is the person she took in as a sister, the person she trusted, has let her down and vanished with her money. If Ruth is okay wherever she is, that money will soon finish but the repercussion awaits! Better return the money and apologise and save yourself wahala.

  64. Dear Jessica, If she is truly your so called sister you will not tarnish her image after only 10 days of looking.... I'm sorry but I don't think you are her sister at all. I do not support Ruth, neither do I support you. Have you reported to the police? Have you confirmed with the airlines that she left the country? It's easy for you to soil a precious friend's name. Please do the right thing and you and your family members should please stay off Nigerian blogs. I wish you luck in finding your money. If you are her sister, don't you know her family? Don't you know her family on Facebook? I guess her family members may even pay you back, but you chose to do this to play the victim, show superiority and this is your chance to prove your point; as you and your friends say "Nigerians are not good'.. Stella please stop entertaining narcissists on your blog. She should go to the police.

  65. Madam smart designer, instead of telling the police, you come to a blog. I'm just laughing. Nigerians really judge things superficially. You find your friend/sister and stay of blogs. It will cost you not more than 500 cedis to come look for her in Nigeria. Why this public display... Stella please try to discern attention seeking designers that want people to buy their clothes. Jessica, go tell the cops.........

  71. The funny thing about all these people saying horrid things to Jessica is that if they were in her shoes, they would do much worse. What else do you want her to do? If she tells you she has gone to the police some of you will say she is wicked for making the matter a police case.

For crying out loud, Ruth disappeared with her money! And it was obviously planned. She took her documents and other important things and she had been lying that her mother was going to send the money.

Jessica dear, please just sift the wheat from the chaff in reading these comments. You are intelligent so you would know which comments to ignore.

I pray God will help you find your money.

  73. 1: Ruth’s family was the first point of contact. I know because I helped!
2: The matter was reported to the police before it was even posted on FB. Check out Jessica’s Clothing page.
3: It was confirmed that Ruth was shopping on FB the day before the post came online. There is a snapshot of this activity and i have a copy. (Thank God considering she deactivated her account after)
4: When Ruth was contacted on BBM by a friend, she replied “Ruth is dead, mind your own business.”
5: According to one of Ruth's family members, she ran because she was afraid of Jail.
6: Ruth said she contacted her Mum to loan her money so she could pay back but it's been confirmed that she never even contacted her family
7: Ruth was last heard from in Lagos.

    2. Ruth came on,Facebook, and was by all means trying to contact all old friends from secondary school (my younger sister inclusive). Shalom fell prey cos of her quiet, calm nature and good heart. And I'm sure being away from naija has taken some street sense off her. Ruth gladly found her prey. And waited to hatch a plan. Had Sharon even posted any, info indicating that both of them were together in Ghana, id have sent her a warning to be careful. Cos I smelt a rat,

  74. this story have loop holes, so I can't categorically agree on what I read here, without asking some question, cos it can still be a way to tarnish the image of the country.

1, somebody that came visiting in ur country, u gave her task to get u an apartment

2,the money got missing and u north where looking for it to no avail, and she promise to produce the money through a transfer from her mother, this time not her boy friend.

3, she came calling for your help in Ghana, and stayed in a hotel for 2weeks.

so my guess is as good as yours.
u mite meet her as a person and transac whatever, buh I don't buy this story, if really it happen, God will expose her, shikenah.....

  76. There is the money that hurts bad, the one you take and run away happily. It leads to nothing in the long run. You miss things and pay for it one way or another. five thousand cedis is equivalent to about 360,539.36naira. i just checked it out, thats alot of money. Please Miss Abu dont ruin your destiny, get in touch with someone who helped you and pay. find a way and pay. you have given Nigerians a bad name again as usual. As if we dont have enough problems already.

  80. Something is not right about this story. They have probably killed this girl and set up this story. The people commenting saying she posted on fb or replied their mails or seen her in SA blah blah blah may actually be the same person trying to make the story sound convincing. If she ran away, the first place she'll have gone is home, and prolly travel from there. But if none of her fam members have seen her, den sth is finshy about this story. We are in a very wicked world where sisters contemplate killing eachother over a man........ Nothing can be far fetched anymore. I hope the truth eventually comes out.

  82. some people are saying it's ONLY 5k GHC, why is she here shaming the girl. even if it was 100 GHC, it is her money which she worked hard to earn why should it be take from her. It hurts when you extend yourself to somebody and they do something this mean to you. If she was some girl she just met and decided to help, persin for sey NTOHHHHH but they were friends from secondary school but you see, this goes to show that you never truly know anybody. The person you know when you are 16 may not be the same person you meet again at 32. Life changes people, circumstances can change character and personality.

some people are saying why put this on a blog instead of calling the police, una make I laugh well well. As if you all are talking about NYPD! How will they track madam Ruthie? Will they track her credit card purchases? Ask for surveillance tapes of stores she's known to frequent? Or get a warrant to search her parents home? Bring forensics to dust for finger print everything she had touched for input into the National Finger Print Data base in case she gets popped again for some infraction? I'm just trying to picture how that would work with the suggestion made because my general view of the po-po in our area of African is that they are incompetent. They can't solve a crime to save their lives but they are quite excellent are getting bribes, they can write a how-to book on the topic. Anyway, laugh aside even NYPD have used Facebook to solve crimes so this is probably Jessica's best bet in recovering her money.

she better hope the girl no use part of the money go do juju for am.
