Governors Report Card......Who Failed?Who Passed?Who Rocked And Who Didnt?

Report your governors here...we need to know which ones really worked this year  2013 to better their various states and which ones only spent the whole of this year cooking up one brouhaha or another.

This is their report card and i am sure your can positively criticise them and help them work better.

I am not saying come here to cuss anyone out..that's not a solution.
Lets tell them what they did right, wrong and how they can be better for next year 2014.

Okay so when you are done with your complaints or Encomiums for your governor, how would you rate them on a scale of 100?

Those of you in Lagos state, what do you think Fashola needs to concentrate on?Remember he is not allowed to tamper with Federal property.

Okay,who is first?

Oga Fash, I know Festac is not your jurisdiction but Asiwaju was trying to take it over from the useless FG. The place is now like a glorified slum, please use your legal sense to take it over and restore it to past glory.

    9. eye health, I'm with u on dis. U see, we have become so used to our governors not doing shit that when a governor manages to tar roads, it becomes a great achievement. For ur info,(all of u praising Godswill Akpabio) Akwa ibom gets 20 billion naira on d average every month as allocation from fed coffers alone while another state like benue get barely 3 billion monthly. Now tell me, with dat kind of money from Aso rock alone(mind u, he also generate money from oda sources like tax and other income heads), will u really say dat he has achieved a great deal. Even Lagos state doesn't get up to half of wot this state gets. So pls b4 u come here to start singing any body's praise, do some research and don't come here making it look like a one eyed man being in d land of d blind is perfect. No, it isn't. 25. To be honest our governors fashola included are one of the biggest problems in the country. Is there any real development in their states? What has happened to all the billions in allocations they hv been receiving over the years. The so called ACN governors that go around as if they are any better than the rest...are they any better? If you are close to the runnings of Lagos state government you will find a situation where fashola and his PA's are stupendously rich with the PA's flaunting their new found wealth. This cuts across the entire government. I won't even talk about the likes of akwa ibom and delta.

Rotimi Amaechi 10 percent, he spent the year in abuja, touring the northern states, hosting rallies, fighting GEJ and co, renting crowds, paying the nation newspaper to make the front page every other day. The roads in ph are of very low quality. He did better his first tenure tho. This year he dedicated his time to politics. No single traffic light in ph. He built schools and health centres with no doctors. Amaechi should keep gallivanting from sokoto to kano to Lagos. Akpabio, Peter Obi n Fashola are the three best governors in Nigeria.

  37. I will start from the TOP. Our president is a failed leader, since he failed Nigerians,i don't expect much from governors. Governors look up to him as leader the way we look up to our parents since he is failing us,governors will as well fail their states. Imo governors since the past 14years are failed politicians. Douglas road/Owerri market road needs new face. The only project i see in the state is new hotels every month, filling station, keke public transport, state without industries can not grow its citizens.
All state governors failed, Akpabio should stop wasting public fund on irrelevant projects, money he spent on christmas corals concert can change the lives of youths in the state.
Fashola is a failed politician after 1st term, he can do better without selfish and greedy Tinubu .

  40. Lagos
Fashola should concentrate more on the slums in Lagos and their roads. He seems to have rested on his oars this second term.

    Delta
Uduaghan should concentrate on three major things; the humongous refuse heaps that dot almost every road and street in Delta.
#2, Mad people! The rate of mad people roaming about in Delta State is alarming! There is no zone I was in Delta State that I didn't encounter at least one mad person. Asaba, Ughelli,Sapele, Agbor (here, a woman ran mad right in our very presence), Okpara Waterside etc. The third thing is the youth mindset. An average Deltan living in Delta is an unserious, superficial being. All they care about is the fast life, govt/oil money, sex etc. Students prefer to come late and be punished than be in class. You will see them sitting on the grass they are supposed to be cutting (as punishment) like they are on a picnic. The youths there do not encourage investments, someone you employ to service your base station gen will steal your diesel. Gateman will connive with area boys to harass you when you are there for inspection. To cut small patch of grass around your site na big money.
They waste away their youth and later when they are past their prime, you see them enrolling in ICE for adult education.

Early momo go to some kain secretariats and you will see some Baba 70s reeking of Alcohol! as early as 7am.

    Osun
Aregbesola should concentrate more on students he is buying tablets for. The average student in Osun esp. those villages are dullards!!
The road network there is amazing. You will encounter tarred roads in streets inside some remote, obscure village.

    Ogun
My governor *smiles* This man has tried in so many areas but the number one problem Ogun State that has remained unsolved is Water. Na wa! Back then whenever we went for the Eid-il-Fitr celebration, na to dey buy tanker water, thank God for borehole. Another issue which I hear is being tackled is health. There are some villages you go to in Ogun State and there is no clinic whatsoever. It is unbelievable!!!

PS: All the governors should work on Water. In Nigeria, water is even much more of a problem than electricity but we don't know because most of us have boreholes in our houses and maintenance cost is low unlike electricity where you have to buy fuel.

Is there any state in Nigeria where you can open your tap and be guaranteed to get water no matter where you are in an urban/rural area? I don't think so. In that aspect, all our Governors are failures. Water is basic and so essential and should never be something we lack.

Gov Fashola has tried in terms of ikoyi and environs and maybe oshodi but what about iyana-ipaja, ayobo, ikotun, egbeda, abule egba, ijegun e.t.c? No electricity, no pipe-borne water, no good roads and these areas are part of lagos state!.
Gov Akpabio has transformed Uyo but not akwa-ibom state. Placing development in the state capital is disgusting. The political killings in his state clearly shows his evil side...

  80. AGRICULTURE:
More than anytime in the history of Abia State, agriculture has received a boost with the reactivation and revitalization of a 5-ton/hour industrial oil palm at Mbawsi, a 2,600 hectare (1,500/ha of improved seedling) of oil palm estate is already in place at Ohambele and 200 hectares of oil palm plantation at Ulonna North and South and Ozuitem – Amamba.
Altogether, 1 million improved seedlings have been planted at the fallow areas of these plantations.
These excluded the pilot songhai integrated farm on 55 hectares at Okwoi Ibeku for plantain banana and pineapples while another 200 hectares have been cultivated for rice and fish farming at Ndibe-Abam in Bende LGA.
Recently, 55 tractors were acquired under PPP initiative for farmers hiring services. The state has continued to honour its counterpart obligations and is part of the new cassava and oil transformation initiative (COTI). As a pacesetter, Governor T.A. Orji recently signed the irrevocable payment order (IPO) to empower Abia commercial farmers to access the N1 billion Agriculture loan domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The mega farms otherwise called Liberation farms are being established in the 17 LGAs of Abia State in collaboration with ASOPADEC. The project is estimated to create 40000 jobs while a modern abattoir is been set up in Aba under another PPP agreement with an Ottawa-Canada based food company.

  81. ELECTRICITY
Umuahia is the only state capital in the entire South East that has electrified the entire streets and roads with street lightings. It is also very peculiar to state here, that it is only in Aba,Umuahia and its environs, that regular and uninterrupted electricity supply has been successfully achieved. This came as a result of the commissioning of the new 2 x 40 MVA, 132/33kv Transmission substation and the 132KVDC transmission line located at Ohiya in Umuahia by the Governor. That is not all, the Abia State government under Chief T.A. Orji had facilitated the ferrying of the gas turbines across Imo River to ensure early completion of the NIPP project at Alaoji. In line with Governor T. A. Orji’s determination to ensure regular availability of electricity for Abia’s numerous small and medium scale industries, the State is leading other South East States to procure the Enugu distribution of PHCN of Nigeria while at the same time installing transformers
    in the rural communities.

  82. HEALTH
In line with Governor T.A. Orji’s promise to sustain primary health care delivery system, he has already upgraded all facilities at the state owned specialist hospital at Amachara and Abayi to the extent that it is the most functional and adequately staffed state owned hospital around here. The Amachara hospital is also an annex ofthe ultra modern diagnostic centres in both Umuahia the State Capital and Aba, the commercial city of Abia with the the new chest clinic at Amachara-Umuahia.
In addition, a storey building has been
constructed for house officers alongside the 2 story building complex meant for resident Doctors. Besides renovating the theatre, work is completed at the accident and emergency units of the hospital. These were executed to enable it cope with increased activities and prevailing challenges. More importantly, Governor T.A has constructed and equipped more than 250 health centres in the different parts of Abia State under its primary health care services and development programme. Each of these health facilities has, in compliance with the MDG been provided with a bore-hole and a tricycle to convey patients to and from the health centres. It is therefore heart worming that Chief T.A Orji kept his assurances that every political ward in Abia State most have a health facility to attend to the health and social needs of the constituents.
As part of his efforts to provide quality health care and services to Abians, Governor T.A Orji is also constructing an auditorium at the specialist hospital Abayi, Aba for student doctors while at the same time meeting the counterpart obligation to the health partners and affiliate agencies such as WHO, UNICEF as demonstrated by the polio-free status of Abia State.
As a tertiary referral centre, Abia’s diagnostic centres are readily accessed by a cross section of Nigerians. Patients who would have been flown abroad for emergency medical treatment are now patronizing the Abia diagnostic centres which boast of world class and State- of- the- art-equipment.

  83. Abia state Gov T.A. Orji has done pretty well in the area of security, Energy distribution, primary and tertiary healthcare, development of human capital through various youth empowerment Programmes, infrastructural development...New essential structures like the workers secretariat, International Conference centre, remodeling of Abia hotels to boost the hospitality and tourism industry, the new high court buildings Umuahia and Aba...the more decent court houses the more judges the more jobs, the new Abia State library headquarters to boost learning and research, the Abia State Specialist and Diagnostic Hospital commended as the best in the entire south east and south south region, the new eye and dialysis centre in Umuahia, the new industrial market Umuahia and Umuahia Modern market to boost commerce and industry also to decongest the Umuahia city centre, the new motor Spare Parts and Mechanic Village at Ohiya Umuahia to create sanity and enhance environmental decency in Umuahia city centre, the new govt house Govt house currently situated in a private and rented property. A functioning skill acquisition centre training about 5000 youths currently. A new broadcasting House (BCA) building, a new JAAC, ASUBEB and Chieftancy affairs complex in Umuahia, A newly built ministry of Justice building in Umuahia, about 250 primary health care centres across the state, partnering with World bank to build Community Social Development program projects as demanded by communities in Abia State, A new House of Assembly Administrative and constituency complex within the HOA premises. A new ASEPA building, ASEPA is currently occupying a rented building, built &commissioned the Amaokwe housing Estate in Umuahia, Isieke, Amaudo and Aso small and medium income housing estates are currently ongoing in Umuahia, massive investment in the environmental sector...Opening up drains in Aba & Umuahia, provision of refuse dump equipment & Trucks etc. The govt has built numerous rural and urban roads in Isukwuato, Ohafia, Bende Umunneochi, Umuahia, Ikwu ano, Isi ala Ngwa etc including the 17 major Aba city roads recently embarked upon...Brass, Milverton, Ngwa Road, Faulks Road, Geometric, Ama Ogbonna, etc. All these are verifiable in addition to massive investment on security of lives and property. ABSG invested over 1.5 billion to evacuate power (electricity) from the Ohiya sub power station after the federal govt built but abandoned it. Power supply has improved in Umuahia and environs leading to massive boost in the small and medium scale enterprises sector. Umuahia, the capital city doesn't get dark at night as a result of the massive investment on street light project. Remember security globally requires huge investment and for Abia State to be known currently as a safe zone, massive investment is being invested to sustain the achievement made so far on security. All these and many more doesn't stop Abia State from having her challenges as a State but the good news is that those developmental challenges are being tackled with the funds available to the State without borrowing. Thank you!

  87. After twenty two years of existence as a state, Abia has witnessed a speedy pace of infrastructural development under the able leadership of Chief Theodore Orji (Ochendo). Within this period of existence, Theodore Orji’s led administration is the only government that has been able to lay for the state a foundation for a modern state of this contemporary time.

    1) Construction of an international conference centre with Nine thousand seats capacity and state of the arts facilities, which will help boost the tourism sector of the state and which will
In turn provide employment opportunities for the teeming youths of the state.
    2) Construction of a befitting workers secretariat at Umuahia with state of the arts facilities.
    3) Construction of an ultra-modern office complex for Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State. (BCA).
    4) Construction of a befitting Secretariat for Abia state Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA).
    5) Construction of Ultra-Modern Government House and Governors Lodge.
    6) Construction of office complex For Abia State Planning Commission.
    7) Construction of a high brow Housing Estate Amaokwe.
    8) Construction of a specialist/diagnostic hospital in Aba and Umuahia.
    9) Construction of over 250 Health Centres spread across the state.
    10) Construction of women development Skills Acquisition Centre.
    11) Construction of various Road networks in the state Reconstruction of Aba Port Harcourt Road a Federal Government Road, Amaekpe –Okagwe Road Ohafia , Abia state , Nkata –Alike Umukabia Road, Ohuhu , Umucha access Road to CKC , Ejiama Migha Abia state Ovim- Acha Road Amaogwu, Umuekwule Road Abiruba- Nkporo Road.

    13) Construction of Ubani modern market with access Road and over 7,500 Shops.
    14) A proposed Airport of International Standard for the state and projects too numerous to mention.

Am not surprised at all to see many praise connectors about him, that's literally what the governor uses the state money to do. To pay aids to keep singing praise for him. Am talkin as a first hand resident of Abia state. I schooled in Abia state and lived in Abia state.
Stella the state is a mess. I mean deep mess. No good road, the man and his agencies have taxed citizens dry yet nothin to show for it. The educational sector, hmmm! God must judge him. The state university is the most costly in Nigeria. 130- 160 thousand the last time I checked, increasing every year.
The man will just buy like 20 buses and share to his kinsmen and they would drive it around and say that he empowered youths. Which youth?
If you see roads in Aba, you will never travel through Aba in your life again.

Am not surprised at all at the number of praise comments he has. There are persons whose jobs it is to do that. The are everywhere in the internet, even students forum on Facebook. They won't let us rest. Always posting their imaginary good works he does.

Aunty Stella, check very well and see whether those that praised him are the frequent people that comment on your post. you will see that even their vocabs is that of trained writers. Am short of words to express the level of corruption and nonsense that abounds in Abia state.

  95. few like T.A has comprehended what democratic leadership is and how democracy can be ran to improve development in the wider sense.Leadership starts with nerve-racking passion that seizes you, and will commove the gradation mentality, and this phenomenal apathy varies with leader to leader.
Governor T.A has the mental resources and intellectual gradients which determines how he responds to the challenges and this has yielded much advantages and brought lot of change, either to sustain, transformation, retain growth and uphold the validity of progress Abia state over a period of time.

    ReplyDelete

  96. T.A Orji has examined the backwardness and build up rot which ensues from improper handling of issues that could obviously be traced from the inventive period when Abia state was created . He is a leader that does strive for a balance on its success and continuity, attract development in its justifiable act of genuinely democratic-polity and systematic approach forming basis of a democratic reality.it is true that is widely believed that Abia state can be said to have had a dysfunctional domain of history of downsize performance coming way back as from the time of creation of Abia state. people cast aspersion ,its is an every day norm, and it is always said that Abia leaders, governors, present and past lack transparently most reliable structures, certain operative context and diplomats hinging on knowledge in all their varieties as their ultimate resources and have fallen below the immediate goal of democratization of the electoral process which contradicts what is been expected of them by their followers.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Unlike T.A Orji, some if not all those who were before him were focused on personal interest by employing constricted and artful leadership styles and made no difference. T.A has demonstrated his administration without cynicism, and such an operative system is a necessity to achieving a critical project. He has manifested a firm reliance and his relationship-oriented manner has create the affinity amongst the people of Abia state.

    ReplyDelete
  98. T.A is a leader who is not arrogance, he is neither hostile nor dominance. he is possesses the character of a leader that does not create deep-seated antagonism between his aides and his underlings . T.A ORJI is a leader who is ever ready to endure the trashed heaped on his head, and he must not revile.

The past leaders in Abia had assumed that we do not have any dreams to be fulfilled, they lost track of the rudimentary process which was important to embark on and lead us to our destiny. Propaganda ate deep into their system, selfish interest brought down their values , and the significant of democratic leadership was not met and which made them to fail in their very tenures.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Not too long again before the fruitless tenure of Orji Uzor Kalu collapsed under the weight of repression , dictatorship and autocratic.-he turned the Abia state to a political laboratory and came up with a grandiose political transition that was described as the most non-democratically and non-profitable in of its era which produced no democracy. An administration which created the dullardity of no transformation. OUK's dual tenures were an industry whose business experience held no water in democratic terrain. Obviously he was unable to diffuse the polity in good manner.

    ReplyDelete
  100. But after his eviction from office by constitutional duration, came a man we should support his efforts ,that are spontaneously bringing the desired socio- economic development. T.A Orji made the different and with total consummation we will encourage him to observe continuity and be more clinical in avoidance of uneven disposition of democratic and political influence in order to balance energetic sense of purpose with a concern for the service of others

    ReplyDelete
  101. Ochendo is working, atleast he has recorded many achievement in health sector ,provided a lot to the youth to which many of them has relied on to lead a good life
T.A would remained honoured with sufficient grace to carry on the affairs of this great state of what many have described as one of the poorest states in the South East .His labour shall not be in vain, he has been steadfast, and has not be deterred by criticisms of those who knows nothing about democracy, about moral burden he inherited .But despite the challenges, he has made quite a huge effort which has resulted to a speedy development of our twenty two year old state. It’s obvious that the impact and contribution may have not been felt so swiftly, but am sure that in no less a time to come; Abians will find T.A Orji for more honours

    ReplyDelete
  102. I saw how he started building a workers secretariat which seven executives (including two civilians) could not do. Visiting to what used to be general hospital Amachara and u will discover great transformation which T.A Orji has carried out. That hospital brings s me feeling of good memory, because my mom always told me I was born there. I am glad that the glory of the hospital and on the other hand saves us the agony of losing our loves ones to curable ailment. I would urge us to take a walk to the hospital; there are essential facilities at the specialist Hospital which are world class. You would be astonished as to the money invested in securing duality facilities like the dialysis machines, the MRI machines and more. Those who think these facilities do not mean anything should wait until they are struck by ailments.
I did not forget the tranquillity that has been the order of the day over the former Timber Market around World Bank Housing estate. Visiting the Industrial Market further confirmed that a huge difference has taken place in the Abia state.

To me he is just making a mockery of those poor children , its better for them to go and learn a trade than wasting their time there when they don't even have learning facilities to . Oh did I mention his cult infested government , when people are appointment based on how you can kill and the number you have killed ! They bear names like ...ikwa afang , mega etc. Akpabio should sit up , Akwa Ibom's allocation is not his family's money ! To whom much is given ..much is expected .

Your opinion will never count. I know you. U are not a medical practitioner. Always making noise everywhere. Your only grouse is you never chop Akpabio money. The only people u praise are those whose money have entered your hand. Soon u dump them for the mext piper. That happened b/w u and your 1st boss. Now u are looking for goodwill from his opponent u called several names including illiterate during and after the elections. If this govt favoured u, we'll hear another story. Shut up pls.

  104. Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom state holds the irritating record of being Nigeria’s most openly profligate governor. He is a father christmas — throwing outlandish cash gifts at politicians, activists, musicians, journalists and whoever captures his fancy. He moves around with bales of mint-fresh cash, spending extravagantly and making reckless donations at public events.
Yet the funds he is wasting does not belong to him. They belong to tax payers in Akwa Ibom State who have continued to wallow in poverty, disease and insecurity despite the huge oil revenue the oil-rich state receives every month. Rather than pull majority of his people out of poverty, Mr. Akpabio has become a waste pipe, frittering away the collective wealth of his people while managing to beautify the state capital to create the impression he is developing the state.

    1. Akpabio only irritates u and your likes. Just because u don't drink from his pipe (because of your bad belle) u go about condemning him. When u started drinking from UOU's pipe, u were praising him on daily basis. Now your volume has gone mute. Looking for the next politician that will wet your dry palm. Whatever rocks your boat dummy!

    2. "...Wasting tax payers money" as if u have ever paid tax. U, that whenever one politician gives u and your fellow noisemakers 20k, u take 15k and lie to the rest that it was 5k that was given. Mtceeeeew. U stink.

You are supporting him cuz you are fucking PA to the PA to the PA to the PA of Akpabio on runs affairs ! Try and take k of your dirty skin !
