  2. I agree with you. It looks so dirty, unhygienic and a cesspool of disease and infection. However in the pursuit of healing, there's very little we human beings will not do, especially when numerous avenues have been pursued and have failed. I truly feel for these people though and pray an epidemic if not a pandemic does not come out of this.

  8. Hian!!! I don't even knw where to begin with my comment.
Nigerians are soo gullible n ignorant, always looking for cheap solutions for their problem. Some people will even contact diseases that they didn't have before sef. See how black n dirty d water is. This is the height of poverty.
Meanwhile why is the reporter sounding funny and I almost had a fall while laughing abt the woman seeing tins with her 'korokoro eyes'.
Enugu state government pls do something about this. We already have enough diseases going on in nigeria, lets not add to it.

  9. Baby Girl, Governor no go fit do anything o! Once it has to do with people's faith, non can deter them... Most of the illness can be cured in the hospital, but people that cant afford to feed themselves how can they afford the hospital bills? Even you, just put on white Garment and say you are prophetess and can hill the sick... Even without actually healing a single person, as long as you have sweet mouth and a new story to feed the people everyday, your church will be filled up and you will be basking in money. That is Nigeria for you today... Kisses

  10. Oh Lord!!!! This is just a time bomb waiting to explode.

  11. Ah see this dirty, black, poisonous, disease filled water!! Gosh what is this?My people suffer for lack of knowledge,if you dnt know the Lord your God,you would call whatever people call God,God. Even the man said he didnt witness any miracle since he has been covering this story, and that people who were assisted in where also assisted out,and am so sure the people of that community would do anything for this to go on,because its boosting their economy and giving them more money, you can see the okada men smiling and the mai suya also having more than tripple sales, such an alarming endemic waiting to happen.

  13. Oh Christ! *covers face* this is absolutely disgusting!!. I can't even begin to imagine the myriads of diseases and infections lurking in that pool. How can people be this ignorant?! Shouldn't common sense dictate to them at the first sight of that pool that they'd be adding more to their problems with all kinds of heavily DISEASED people swimming about in that pool??? Anyway this says a lot about their personal hygiene. This is exactly what happens when personal hygiene is zero.

  14. Lmao @ that woman that said 'I saw one man with my korokoro eyes'Smh.But for real, its only poverty that can cause this kind of dumb move..Nigerians can be so gullibe though.'Lord have Mercy.

  15. OMG. I can't believe what I just saw.

I wasn't going to watch this as I'm really tired of all these crude behaviour. I'm so glad you insisted, Stella.

I can only imagine the level of poverty, desperation and hopelessness that would make grown men and women strip and immerse themselves in this dirty, muddy, disease-infested river. They can see the various ailments being washed in the river, yet they don't care. Even the obvious fact that no miracles are happening there is not enough to deter them.

To think that the ailments some of them are parading can be cured with as little as N10k. I'm in a country that was not originally mine, yet I've never paid for the excellent healthcare I have access to. Why is Nigeria cursed with these terrible leaders? Are the state government and Local government going to claim they are not aware of this madness. I weep for my country. Ha, o ma se o.

  16. *HEARTBREAKING*

Okay, In a society where the government have no CONSCIENCE, the people rely on FAITH to see them through. ANYTHING.

Rivers, quack doctors, HIV distributing native doctors, false prophets, fake churches and all other atrocious stuff.

Ain't nothing wrong in believing in that River, nothing at all. But what works for Peter might not work for Paul. I pray they find healing.

If you have never been sick to a point of death, you cannot explain what they are passing through. I feel, see and know thier pains. And I think Mama Peace should know something about that. She flew out the country for her healing. Fiam. Her faith was in Germany. With German doctors.

As I watched that video, I saw Nigerians in their most vulnerable, gullible and weakest state. Believing in anything believable.

I saw husbands helping wives, brothers helping brothers, sisters helping sisters. Friends helping one another. I saw our ONENESS. I saw our love. I saw one Nigeria.

I still believe a Good leader will rebuild Nigeria and provide them with basic amenties instead of buying 11 jets, building hotels, buying refineries, buying armoured cars and other gross misappropriation of our funds. OUR FUNDS. OUR MONEY. OUR KUDI. OUR EGO. OUR OWO...

I pray they receive the healing they seek for. I really pray they do.

On a lighter note, that suya was calling my name though.yes!

I pray for Nigeria and Nigerians.

  17. I personally don't blame these people; a lot of them can barely afford to feed, much less anything else. Humans tend to become quite gullible when faced with persistent problems (health or otherwise), eespecially in the absence of standard health care facilities.

  34. all you insulting people here are really stupid...do u think money cure all ailments? go to hospitals and see people with money who have ailments that hospital can do nothing for.....yes some cannot afford medical bills but how do u cure a blind person os one with cancer? for some they heard there was a solution and they have come to try their luck if they will get healing......if anybody can claim it works that we cannot acertain but we shld just pray we dont get desperate situations......so what do u want the gov to do stella? dry up the water? the best they can do is raise awareness of the water borne diseases that they could be exposed to out there but to stop people from exercising their faith in the face of no other options that's impossible....

  41. I cried after watching this. It's a pity what our people have to go through. It all boils down to poverty and bad government. When the government has failed the people, they have resorted to what is available, no matter how dangerous it is. What can one do to help out? It's really sad cos a lot of people are suffering. God come to our aid and let our cries get to you.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Some of the comments provided here shows how ignorant some of us are, especially those people thinking it is because of bad governance that these people are engaging in this. I do not support this but I know people go to holy lands to bring soils and water for healing. Let us try to acquire the right understanding.
