AGN President Ibinabo Fiberesima Confirms Federal Appointment.

Actors Guild Of Nigeria (AGN) President Ibinabo Fiberesima has just been appointed a board member of the council of Arts and Culture…….This is a Federal appointment.

I called her to congratulate her and asked if the new portfolio would mean her relocating to Abuja but she said she would be shuttling between Lagos and Abuja and would combine her job as the Guild President with her new portfolio.

In her own words ''Its a good thing for the movie industry,at least we have a voice inside the board now and we can cry from the inside and get the desired changes and results that we seek. Now the movie industry can be directly involved with what concerns it…we thank God''

Congratulations to her!

  23. But she is an ex convict. An ex convict isn't allowed to run for any kind of election or whatsoever, or be appointed into government bodies, meaning holding public offices. Please when would this country do things properly?

  25. Yes she is an ex convict and not permitted to hold any government post but anything can happen in Nigeria. Was ibori not an ex convict in Uk before he became Governor? even Alams will soon be senator. I think all Nigeria politicians are convicts because they steal from innocent Nigerians, money they steal are meant for citizens welfare. This the outcome of her smiles at Aso rock weeks ago. I will always call them clowns, she can continue stealing from were others stopped because none love Nigeria only their pocket.

  26. Stella, You should have pointed out that as an ex-convict, she shouldn't have been eligible for such an appointment EXCEPT she had been granted a pardon. But instead that aspect is being glossed over.
It is this glossing over of fundamental moral issues that is the basic problem ith our society. We have slept in mud for so long that we are now comfortable in it.
At least the board wouldn't be including her in jamborees overseas as she would be ineligible for a visa

  27. Last time I checked, Hollywood isn't represented on any silly Federal Board yet they've been doing great. Our leaders are good at wasting funds and chasing misplaced priorities. This lady will end up warming the beds of the high and mighty in Abuja. Watch her become a Minister for Arts or whatever portfolio. #sillycountry.

    1. And what makes you think EVERY woman with a government appointment is a potential bed warmer?
There are still intelligent women in this country who are focused on content delivery and not just bedmatics...pray tell are you male?
