Chike Bryan, National President, Script Writers Guild of Nigeria, SWGN, has been ill for almost two years but was recently diagnosed with kidney ailment in a Lagos hospital.
Bryan needs the sum of N10 million for a kidney transplant in an Indian hospital.
some key players have been rallying round him to get him back on his feet and efforts are also being made to get across to his governor, Sullivan Chime, of Enugu State for help.

Please please make sure u all are aware of ur blood pressure status! Black people are more prone to have highBP, plus we as nigerians eat ALOT of sodium (maggi, indomie salt etc) and this contributes to HBP which can lead to heart failure and kidney failure! Please go for a checkup and make sure ur BP is under 135/90. Black men are especially prone to have essential (primary/hereditary) hypertension. Please be aware NOW and treat it with medications and/or diet modification/exercise before its too late. I am a doctor, and HBP is a silent killer because there are usually no warning signs till your organs fail and its almost too late. Constant headaches can be a strong indicator but not everyone gets it, so go check and find out.

ReplyDeletePerhaps there needs to be an article about kidney failure and what may cause it, because it seems as though this is becoming commonplace in Nigeria. Is the health ministry actively doing public service announcements and encouraging people to work to prevent this illness. I wish him well.
