Female - When One's Meat Is Another's Headache...




TEENAGER ALERT POST



Dear Blog visitors,Please help a sister....i urgently need to gain weight,i mean my struggle is more than real.

I dont know why society has made it look like there aint people struggling to gain weight especially Nigerians.It doesn't help matters when they see skinny people.i am so skinny.... infact so thin that people think am sick but i am medically fine  ( i am not anoxeria) . .

 Most times dont have appetite to eat i mean i skip meals just because i dont feel like eating and even when i force my self i always fail ..i have cried my eyes out when i hear comments about my skinny self but there is not much i can do i just accept it and try to love my self..mind you i have never been chubby or fat in my life, i have prayed infact am not trying to accept the fact that i can never gain weight cos i know God will do it soon…


My graduation from College is in a months time but i keep wishing i could look different at least for this memorable day .i look 14 even when am 19 .

Although  I am not loosing my self esteem i feel pained that most times i have to cry my self to sleep just because some random person that doesnt know or understand my struggle has decided to insult me *sigh*.. 

The fact is just that not all skinny people like how they are and some people even go to the extent of giving compliment of how good it is to be skinny even i know they mock me at my  back.

I have been nicknamed so many things like panla ,broom ,stick ,pencil and i always  just reject it ..God knows i just want a graduation gift which will be to gain weight..am sick and tired of always adjusting cloths anytime i shop…help! help! i have less than 2 months to achieve this.. 

Yes i am desperate i just hope my struggle ends soon ..thanks in advance for your advices. i look forward to your reply thanks and God bless.

    1. My dear i've been in your shoes, took fattening pills but they didn't work. Fast forward some years and I'm almost obese because of the things I took back then. Please I beg you don't not take anything you'll gain weight with time.

    5. Stella, another man in Houston killed his young med Dr wife last Saturday and actualy told neighbor to call the cops.
      They have 3 kids. What will become of them now.
      Please look into this jist and advice blog visitors.
      Some are praying to marry by fire by force and some are dying inside the marriages.
      Ladies pls pls be careful who you marry. Loosing ur life is not worth it.

I was actually like u when I was in the university, someone told me that no matter what I ate I would never gain weight, another asked me how I was planning to convince employers that I had just finished from the uni and not from the secondary school! Now years later, I am trying all I can to lose weight. Relax dear and watch it so that when you start gaining weight u won't let urself go.

    8. LOLLLL wow. I remember my dad calling me "painfully thin" and doing everything to mk me gain weight. They all thought it was on purpose to become a model, I became a model because I was just made that way.
      Now after 2 kids I can still wear clothes I had 10 yrs ago, I have a bikinibody people envy and hell yes I rock my bikinis. I advise that you dress to flatter your frame and end of the day you will be the one smiling.

    1. When I was around 17, I had no toaster then because I was very skinny. Then I always envy my friends. Fast forward to my twenties, my bum started to come out. Now as a mum of two my measurement is 40.36.47. Men stares at me, and it makes me smile. Remembering those days I wish I was chubby so don't worry.

    2. Poster since you are medically sound, I beg you to enjoy and appreciate your body the way it is. Time shall come when you will be longing to go back to this your size,wait till your born first na. I use to be slim but child birth has made me add small. I now envy my sisters who are all lepas, as in like broomstick and they can eat for africa eh.

      Every1 gets yabbed. People must see something in your body to yab you with. Don't take it seriously. They usually don't mean any harm.
      I remember how people use to yab me about my boobs,inshort, while growing up, that was all most guys I come across see. I always feel so embarrassed when I catch them staring. Some shameless ones will tell me to my face that they will love to suck my breast( I don suffer sha,smh)
      At a time I started wearing very tight bras and loose tops just to hide my boobs. My mum had to sit me down and tell me to appreciate my body. That most of those yabbing me are praying silently to be like me (not as if I had excess boobs o, but the yabbings made me feel I was abnormal). All those my friends who yab my boobs wear foam bras to make their boobs look bigger, yet they still have mouth yab me that is naturally endowed.
      Is it my red lips, they said it is as red as palm oil, and my eyes, they said it is like torch light. Even till date, hubby still yabs me about my lips and eyes. If we are arguing, he will suddlenly close his eyes and say the lights from my eyes is blinding him,LOL.
      If they give my 2 yrs old kid assignment to paint something red, hubby will tell me to please borrow him my lips so my baby can use it as crayon.

      Just eat healthy, take lots of vegetables and fruits and sleep well too. Don't take any drugs to gain weight. You might damage one thing in your body or even your womb cos some of those drugs have side effects.
      Appreciate yourself the way you are. Dress well and don't wear very tight cloths.
      Whenever you look at the mirror, tell yourself you are pretty. It will help boost your self esteem.

    5. Who hasn't struggled wit weight issues @ 1 point or d other? I used 2 be very thin d type dat u see my veins on my arms n I used 2 eat lyk mad. Mum used 2 cry abt it sef but I was healthy n not bothered abt it. Years later I am a 14 - 16 even 18 @ times that's how it fluctuates. So don't wori urself.

      Poster, I used to be like you. Twas so bad that I started taking cypron tablets then, so I can sleep and when I wake up from that sleep, I can devour anything! Then boom! I started adding lots of weight and up till now I'm a 70kg dieting to return to at least 60kg.
      So poster, take blood tablets and cyrubs so it'll boost ur appetite, worry less and sleep more.Eat a lot of shawama and burger, poundo, foofoo and chocolates.....Good luck!

  5. Meeh dt pelvic bone is so potruded. We skinny do complain a lot (dnt know wether mine is a bad as yours), though I do control mine atimes considering my anatomical structure. My dear, better start appreciating the way u are now cos there is nothing u do dt will make u add up in 2mnths time especially if u r stiff skiny n not soft ones, bony skinny rarely adds even till old age, love urself, eat well n do things dt make u happy, shineka. Incase u aint satisfied go meet Pastor praise for Abuja n fast with him for 30days.

    Most important tin is to eat healthy and sleep well.

    U are almost d same age as my baby sister, if dis isnt social media i wld av linked u two 2geda.
    She is 6ft tall, light skinned and very skinny(i tot my sis wz skinny until i saw d edewor babe).

    I can swear u cant attract as much attention and remarks as she does.
    She is being called stilt(d eyo festival masquerade dat stands on a long stick), opa-ase(rod of command), ostrich etc
    Wen she isnt looking, my fada raises is index finger implying my sis resembles 'figure 1'(and wen she ears us chuckle, she wld say daddy if u no u aint scared say it wit ur mout, popsy wld be like noooo, i sed u are very pretty, she wld say i tot as mch)
    Funny tin is she laffs at it hersef! D tin no dey pain am oo(dat gal na winch).

    Everyone az bin teased at 1 moment of dia life or d oda.
    I get teases abt my height n hips all d time.
    I understand dat it can get to 1!
    But u shld get used to it.
    And avoid wearing tight stuff.

Poster,the one way you can achieve that look is to start eating....eat..eat....I was like you when I was your age though I can eat for africa....I love FOOD that I can eat anything so far its eatable still I dosent gain weight coz everyone in my house is slim....I started adding a little flesh when I had my second baby....now I am uk size 10....I think am blessed coz some people think I am in my early twenties coz I have this innocent baby face.....start eating junk foods with a bottle of coke and make sure you sleep after each meal...hehehehehe....indeed,one mans meat is another mans headache....smh

  11. I believe you need to see a nutritionist. If you're not anorexic then your appetite needs to be boosted so you can have proper meals and gain some weight. Research proves that you need an amount of weight to stay healthy so please contact good cooks like Matse and enjoy some Africana grubs ok? Goodluck on that journey to weight gain...

  12. With your state of mind, you will only lose more weight. You need to relax and not get so depressed about your weight. Guess what? I have been where you are and just within one year I have moved from a uk size 4 to a uk size 8.
    My suggestion is you get your mind off adding weight and relax, try keep a happy and healthy life style. Also start counting your calories. They are several apps you can download on your phone (blackberry, iPhone, samsung; just search for calorie counter in the App Store) that will tell you how many calories to eat to add a certain amount of weight and guide you on the journey. These two tips single handedly helped me.
    I'll also say you just try to eat healthy and stay active. Don't just consume so many calories and stay in bed all day. Move around, exercise lightly and eat healthy food with a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables because you don't want to eat all the sugar and fat and end up putting yourself at risk for HBP or diabetes.
    Moderation is the watch word. If you can, go meet a dietician who will help you draw out a food time table.
    They are also many resources online on how to add healthy weight online. Like they're say, google is your best friend.
    Lastly please stay away from drugs and pills that may promise to help you pile weight on, the goal for you should be to add healthy weight on.

  13. My darling,forget all the people taunting you.in secondary school I was soooooo skinny,people used to call me igi na gbaoso (stick is running) but I had a thick skin. Fast forward over ten years after, I am still skinny and one of the people that used to call me names is wishing she can be my size cos she is soooo big now.Nne please practise self love!10years from now you will be wishing you were still skinny.grow a thick skin and ignore silly comments and do not,I repeat do not try to be fat for anybody

  15. Have you tried taking some multivitamin tablets to stimulate your appetite? Something with cod liver oil is good and will make ur skin glow as well. Minavex is a good one.

There is this thing rorubas drink, it is called mawu, not sure how safe it is ( i am not a doctor ) but i remember one of my junior sister drinking it and within weeks she had put on a lot of weight. Lol, like i said earlier i don't know if it is safe but my sister has stopped it and the weight is still there. I will suggest you eat every thing fat people are advised not to eat.

    Mehn, its nt funny. Apart frm my hubby, everyoda person talks so much abt my weight n stature too much. Plus am short again. U can imagine ppl comparin me to der 7yr old child wen I am 30.

    I got depressed 3 yrs ago...lost anoda 10kg in d process...I almost died...I ad al d signs of low immunity. Bt I guess my hubby (fiance then) sensed it and since den he became very supportive n made me feel cool abt myself.


    I am a doc, I av tried everything I can...bt nothin is workin. I think d first tin u can do now is love urself first. Its difficult bt I managed to get thru in d midst of all d unsolicited 'negative' compliments. Now I look in d mirror and feel 'fat'.

    One oda thing u cld try is dynamogen. Its a bitexpensive bt u can get it frm tabade pharmacy. My hubby is even bringn me some new supplies dis weekend. It makes u eat a lot...I usu gain a few n den lose it later.

    Ppl now tellin me I wl gain weight after havn babies...bt my sis has had 3...and she hasnt changed her weight...altho she isnt skinny at all.


    My dad is just too concerned abt me now and he keeps askin 'wen r u goin to gain weight'...bt I just laff n tell dem to stop dreamin...lols

    Am happy now...if d weight comes am ok...if nt am cool and alredi lookin forward to d future wen my friends who r full n fat now...wl alredi be fallin apart like a pack of cards...and il be lookin fit n trim...
    U see u wl gain d weight mayb wen u r 35 to 40...u wl eventually cos I met a lady in church who went thru same thing bt started to gain a little wen she got to 40...nw she looks sexy wt her kids...and all her colleagues r alredi lookin 60...

    So dear, start wt loving ur look..bliv u me, dts d startn point...it takes off d pressure...try d dynamogen n see if it wl work...
    Now that am proud of myself...people av no choice than to keep quiet cos my confidence overrides their 'hateful' comment.

    2. Take it easy babes...its only an appetite stimulant and as far as I knw...dont tnk der is any major side effect to it...food supplement n appetite stimulants r over-the-counter meds...altho dis one is a bit strong. Its like sayin use paracetamol for headache....

  20. Eat calabar food called ekpang nkukwo(grated cocoyam n water yam wrapped in cocoyam leave) and unripe grated banana porridge( otor mboro) or u enter our fattening room for just 14 or 21days. Nothing to do just eat,sleep n be massaged.Cheers

I need advice on how to gain weight asap and no I am nt a student and I have tried sleeping well, eating well, eating fruits except taking drugs. HELP

    You can try d following, I'm sure u'll gain a bit of weight:
    Buy appetite-inducing medications such as multi vitamins and start using

    Stuff your face with junk food I.e. sweets, chocolate, cakes, ice cream, donut, ham burger, etc

    Drink malted drinks, horlicks, milk shake and chocolate drinks.
    Hopefully this would help, better still go and buy maawu,

  30. Eat chocolates,fatty foods like mutton,beef,fried stuff will help too,eggs,ice cream,yogurt,eat between meals,eat late,sleep well,some supplements will help too. Plus,google is your friend. I'm skinny too,but I'm not bothered. The stuff that will make you fat are mostly not healthy,just take a look @ the list above. You'll add weight naturally with time. I'm a living proof.

  31. Eating fruits and vegetables won't boost your appetite. They are high in fibre and can be filling. When you feel full, you won't want to eat. If you are trying to increase your appetite eat them in moderation. Some are also acidic and that can slow down digestion. They are better for people who want to lose weight and not the other way round.

    Eat breakfast to get your metabolism going. You gain energy from that which makes you active throughout the day and that will increase your appetite and make you hungry.

    What do you like eating? Binge on what you like eating. You need food rich in healthy sugar and fat.

    Do you get bloated and feel like you are full? You need to clear the bloated feeling and eat what you like. Peppermint tea is good. It clears the bloated feeling and then you'll be able to eat properly.

    Take supplements like B vitamins. I used to take a lot of supplements for my well being but i always felt hungry and wanted to eat more. Evening Primrose Oil, Folic acid and Zinc tablets always made me want to eat more.

    The good old trick; eat late and sleep immediately after. Drink a lot of full fat milk too.

Fat no come,I got married and started having kids,d 3rd pregnancy,I started having some flesh,now I'm d hotest mum in town,pple look @ me and say wow,wat a body,my galfriends are afraid 2 invite me 4 functions cos dia husbands will b like "can't u b like ur friend,even after 3kids she still looks hot"my dear nothin wey dem take fat dey do,appreciate who u are,later in life u'll bless God 4 d stature He gave u

    Don't u worry yourself, you r still a teenager . You will add weight as u grow into adulthood.
    This is kind of out of point, what kind of education do we have now in Nigeria that pple barely stop sucking their mums boobs yet they r graduates. Where I live 19yrs olds are still in the 5th or 6th year of secondary sch. Imagine a 19yrs or 20yrs old dr performing a surgery. Chukwu soba umu ya.

  38. instead of eatin junk food as been advise by many i will suggest u go to pharmacy n get dis food supplement called MUSCLE BLAST though its does dat gym dat do use it but its good for does who dont normally av appetite too cos its made of soya beans milk and beverages..its like milo tea u ll jus be drinkin it like normal tea bt its kina expensive sha lik 5k plus bt u ll add sum flesh in a months time..

  41. moi your suggestion is so ignorant its amazing.......some people are naturally skinny and you want her to eat all the things fat people should not eat so her cholesterol level will go up amongst others? girl so long as your being skinny is not as a result of any medical condition then just learn to love yourself and ignore all insults.....whether skinny or fat you need to eat healthy foods, exercise well, rest well to avoid stories that touch as u get older..

    I have a colleague who was a size 6 uk before she had her baby. The boy is almost 2 years old and guess what? She's still a size 6.

    When I was 17, I was a size 6 uk, with massive breasts.....battling to gain weight and YES i was teased.

    Fast forward many years later, im a size 12 uk trying to lose weight and im still being teased.

    Love yourself first, it does wonders for your self esteem. You can't please anyone but yourself.

  46. i also have same probs..abeg what can somone take to stop going to the toilet(i mean shiting evrytin u ve eatin) almost immediately after eating ..am tired of seeing a doc nd still no changes...any one knws what i can use??? thnks in advance

    1. Check your diet, its most likely something you're eating.

      For example, I don't go near bitter leaf because it turns my stomach inside out.

  47. I was a size. 6 when I was in the uni n my classmates n frds usually call me 'Sketele' my Dad would complain how skinny I was, forcing me to go get drugs n all that. But today am a size 10 because of plenty junks.
    So little girl, calm down cuz I know you will get fat. Just be happy, eat whatever you want to and sleep as you want.

  48. Learn to love yourself and forget about what people say. When i finished from secondary school i was so tiny (short and thin) i didnt take anything but now i'm no longer the tiny girl so just give yoursef time, try to eat healthy and think less.

  50. I had the same issue when I was in my early 20's, I was so skinny so I know how you feel. I tried taking Super Appetite back then, and yes I gained some weight but the love handles came and my flat tummy disappeared.
    I'll recommend a very good multivitamins Centrum Advance or Performance, a glass of Horlicks/ Hot Chocolate/ Milo before you go to bed helps as well. I am a size 10 now and I used to be a size 6.
    Wear clothes that flatter your figure and you will bloom in no time xxx

    Supradin is another blood capsule that can turn you into a hungry lion in days.
    Weight-on is another drink that will help you eat much.
    Stop thinking too much, it reduces your weight too.
    I was too skinny in Uni and now I'm much bigger. For some people, it comes with age and maturity.

  53. My dear i understand how you feel becoz I was once like you. I finally took dexacortin and I gained so much weight to the point that people thought I was preggy. Tho I took too much of it with the anger and pain I was going thru from pple calling me names. Now, I'm married with a son who is almost 3 but I still look like I'm 6 month preggy,my tummy keeps growing bigger and it sucks. I regret ever taking that pills. It made my tummy so big, I now hate going shopping coz I never find what fits. You will love your body when you eventually marry and have babies so just relax and ignore those pple mocking you. Btw, you should be proud you look younger than your age.

  57. Sweetheart, I was once like you. Nothing pissed me off as much as when people start to preach to me about loving the way I was. I hated myself back then. I was skinny and pale, my self confidence was zero, I hated pictures. I took everything, from wateon,eGgovin,cypron,feedfine,cyprovite... Etc... Nothing worked.

    One fateful day, my hairdresser told me of a drug called "yodi" that it works like magic. Even though I already gave up on the idea of gaining weight, she managed to convince me... Boom 2 weeks, I swear no exaggeration, I couldn't fit into my jean.. Before you know it, ass,boobs and more ass... Everybody swore I went through surgery... To cut the long story short I grew from a size 0 to 10... I stopped the drug a long time now, and the weight still stayed. I'm so proud of my body. I love being a perfect 10 with a long ass lol.... Thank God I already have a pretty face. I would never want to loose weight.. Not for anything in this world. I'm 28 now.. With a banging body. Please I sincerly know how you feel because I have been there. Just look for the drug yodia" I swear if it doesn't work for you nothing else would work... Cos I know some other people it worked for.

  60. please.. I'm still seventeen, I'm not exactly skinny but I'm not just happy with my body, and I want to gain weight, cos gaining weight has been a problem for me.. should i go and take weight gain supplement or I shouldn't bother my self..since I'm still seventeen and probably still growing
