ReplyDeleteHouse people I greet una o. Reading the chronicles triggered me to share this story with Sdkers. The one about the lady who says that for no reason her man is irritated by her. Some BVs said she must have done something wrong while others said you don't have to do anything wrong for some men to dump you. I align with the latter.
ReplyDeleteThis story is that of my aunt who 3years ago married a popular Oba in Ogun state (I'll leave his name out). She is a successful business woman in the U.S, pretty hard working with a daughter who's in her early 20s. She was actually married to her daughters father but he got into trouble with the law so he's been behind bars for many years. So really, her separation from hubby was not her own doing. With this details some people may already know the people involved in this my story. The better for me, at least they can corroborate the facts.
This lady was very devastated when her husband's issue happened, so she decide that she would not re marry but wait for her husband to return from jail. So she concentrated on taking care of her child and she faced her business which has blossomed quite well in the Tri state area of the U.S. Many suitors from all over the U.S and even Nigeria wanted to marry this woman because she kept her dignity intact and had a thriving business unlike some women who would have to sleep with scores of men to feed. I am not exaggerating, she's that successful. Especially as she wasn't using her husbands predicament to seek sympathy from people unlike others.. Rather she became the envy of most women and men because of her success.
Part 2
ReplyDeleteShe actually dated a few people after many years, with the consent of her husband who pleaded over time that she can move on and remarry so that she wouldn't waste away her youthful years. While she refused to marry, she decided to date a few times and her husband would guide her etc. A few of the people she dated wanted to marry her by all means, when they became unrepentant she left the relationship and continued to face her life. At some point she was tagged "arrogant or over ambitious"..it didn't deter her.
Fast forward to recently. She met this popular Oba (king) thorough a mutual friend. The man started to speak to this my aunty and they became familiar with themselves. Then he travelled to the U.S to meet her for the first time. He was actually impressed at everything he saw of her. From her very big store to her house and cars etc. He was astonished to find that a single mother could achieve what she has without the help of any man. He scrutinized the hell out of her and found her a wife material. When he returned to his kingdom in Nigeria, he started to make plans to marry this lady.
He went to her family house and told everyone that mattered in Nigeria that he had indeed found a good wife. Mind you, he has a wife already. But as with traditional rulers they aren't limited to one wife, so no one frowned at it. And as many of us had been begging aunty to give a man a chance in her life, and even her hubby who's still incarcerated had always wanted her to move on, so she agreed. This man promised her and her daughter heaven and earth.
Part 3
ReplyDeleteHe made sure that he bonded with her daughter, even told her that "I am here to be a father to you, I will wipe away your mother's tears and restore her lost glory as a woman". He went to her mother in Nigeria and repeated the same promise. So everyone was happy and thought that at last, a genuine man has come to give her joy yet again.
Soon enough they picked a marriage date. Everyone was shocked, some people thought that she shouldn't marry the man, while her friends became green with envy and started to call the man anonymously to spread lies about my aunt. The wedding finally took place and was celebrated in the front pages of popular magazines in Nigeria and outside Nigeria. We heard that the Oba's wife was angry that he married such a pretty successful lady and she was afraid that her hubby would push her to the side. But aunty made sure that she became friends with the other wife but it was clear that all na wash. Oju aye tinz, but she managed it. Jazz finish for jazz man house ontop thus my aunty o. But God was with her.
The crux of the matter.
Kabiesi started to visit the U.S often and aunty too would travel to Nigeria to see him. After their elaborate wedding in Nigeria they had a court wedding in the U.S...she had even started to process this man's green card. Trouble started when he started demanding exorbitant monies and things from her. Like using style to say that he needs a range rover but that he's broke, or that he needs money to build this or that in his kingdom. Initially she didn't mind, but one day she thought, hold on, isn't this the same man that promised my daughter heaven and earth? Not for once has he even asked to pay my daughters college fee or my mortgage, yet he demands monies and when I don't give him he pulls up and attitude? Anytime she says she doesn't have money, and he sees her buy something new for herself, he'll call her a stingy woman. Hmmm.
Part 4
ReplyDeleteShe became alert and started to tell him that she didn't have money anytime he asked. Soon enough he became irritated by her ( her first offence). Then his first wife became prominent in their affairs, my aunt was made to send money to her kids, buy them stuff, pay for her ticket to America and even take her shopping etc. All of them started to use my aunty to meet their financial needs. There was even a time that she gave the Oba's kids 100 thousand naira. And this man started to abuse her that 100k was too small for a woman her status to give the kids. That was the thank u she got. He would demand my aunt pays for his ticket to travel abroad, and even take her shopping to big stores where they sell household items and he would pick $10,000 worth of furniture and ask my aunt to pay for shipping and handling too. What?
Let me cut this story short ehn. Finally, everyone found out that this oba and his wife are known to swindle unsuspecting women who have money. A school of thought analysed my aunt's scenario thus; that the man and his wife had a game plan to penetrator my aunt to suck her finances dry. But the agreement wasn't for him to marry her in such an elaborate way, which he did and the first wife wasn't happy about because she said her friends mocked her. He broke the rule. But that the Oba said that he needed to formalise the union to successfully carry out their plan because aunty would be his legal wife and he would be able to control her at will. So basically both the oba and his other wife played along.
Aunty didn't know this until trouble started. As recently, this oba was bursted in a yahoo deal gone bad. This was when it was revealed to her that it was his modus operandi from time immemorial. To swindle women with the help of his wife. We were all shocked. He actually sent aunty a text message that he was no longer interested in the marriage. He expected her to beg but she didn't. When people called him to ask what she did wrong, he had nothing tangible to say. But we all knew that his pain was because she stopped giving him money. And what he said is that she is too arrogant. Why arrogant all of a sudden? See why I said sometimes you don't have to do any wrong to be treated like shit by some men?
Well, anon after reading your story, I blame your aunt.

She shouldn't have agreed to be a second wife! Knowing fully well he is still married. Even if he is an oba or whatever.
I have no sympathy for second wives and others after them (especially in this age and generation). I see them as very selfish and insensitive beings.
Whatever misfortune they encounter in their marriage, they deserve it in my opinion.
Tell her to leave married men alone or else she will continue to encounter more bad luck. If she wants to remarry, she should do so with a single guy or a widower.
So that even of that person hurts her, she can at least know that it's not karma.
You don't take what belongs to another and expect to have peace.
