OMG OMG OMG!!!
Police have positively identified the victims of the homicide currently under investigation in Cairns. Four girls aged 14, 12, 11 and two, and four boys aged nine, eight, six and five were found within the Murray Street, Manoora home by police yesterday morning.
A 37-year-old woman is currently assisting police with their inquiries. The woman is the mother of the seven youngest children, and the aunt of the 14-year-old girl who was found within the house.
Police have confirmed in a press conference that they have “spoken to five men” with regards to the murders of their children in Cairns this week. They have also stated that the names of the children will not be revealed due to “cultural sensitivities within the Manoora and Torres Strait community”.
The mother who has stab wounds to her chest is in a stable condition in hospital, and is lucid and speaking with police.
The children’s bodies have been removed from the house and police will be working with the coroner and authorities throughout the day to determine a timeline for the deaths.
Contrary to some reports, this family’s house was not known to police.
“It’s not a problem house, as has been speculated,” said Cairns Detective Inspector Bruno Asnicar. “This is an ordinary neighbourhood, a lot of good people, a lot of kids in the area. This is something that has caught everybody by surprise.”culled
I said it yesterday when the news broke the police should look inside...why did i say so?
Because it is unlikely that an outside will successfully kill 8 children without some form of interference.it has to be someone who knows the kids and that was why they didnt scream...they were lovingly stabbed by someone inside.
I rest my case!
