Doctors In House Section

Hello you!

PROBLEM ONE
GETTING PREGNANT WITH 'HELP'
Blog visitors please read this,I asked my doctor to prescribe clomid 500g for me and he said that clomid is clomid and that there's neither 500/100g,now i am confused because I read something like that on this blog. Or is clomid not the real.name? Secondly my hubby will be away for 3months is it good for me to still take the drugs(clomid) when hubby is not around? Or should I wait for him to come back before I will start it? Please help a desperate woman.

*You could have mixed up clomid and fertilaid talk that went on here. Please do not take clomid without your doctors supervision to avoid any story story.please go back and discuss with your doctor if you do not get answers from in house doctors today.

DO NOT SELF MEDICATE ON CLOMID AS IT COULD LEAD TO MULTIPLE BABIES ENTANGLED.

    1. Madam Poster, since your purpose of taking clomid is to boost your chances of getting pregnant, why don't you leave it till your hubby is back or about coming back? That said, clomid is taking 50mg once daily for the 1st 5 days but If ovulation occurs and pregnancy wasn't achieved, d person can take a second course of clomid 50 mg once daily for another 5 days. Each subsequent course may be started as early as 30 days after the 1st course and after making sure she isn't pregnant. Most women usually ovulate during the 1st therapy, if not she then takes a second course of 100 mg once daily for 5 days. This may be given as early as 30 days following the 1st course. A 3rd course of 100 mg once daily for 5 days may be given after 30 days if necessary.

P S: Taking three cycles of clomid, dosages beyond 100 mg once daily for more than 5 days isn't recommended.
Also, you take clomid under the watchful eyes of your Gynae o. Report any unusual symptoms to him or her. I hope this helps.

    4. Dnt take clomid wen ur hubby isn't around, all d tablets are 50mg, dnt know how u saw 500, nd u can read on success stories about it, it can lead to multiple birth lik stella said, read on how to take it, u can take it on day 3-7 or day5-9. But ur doctor shd know if u shd take it,dnt self medicate if u dnt need it, u shd investigate y u r not pregnant first before rushing to take clomid, it is used to induce ovulation nd produce more eggs, wat if this isn't ur case, asin u ovulate? So do scans nd blood test with hubby first bfr u ask for prescription, I want to believe Urnt in nigeria cos u dnt need prescription in nigeria to buy it

    5. @Orela dunno why u should sound so harsh, and I ain't forming anything! D lady asked a question and I answered, my opinion to contribute is my business not yours. And for the fact I added she should do all under the watchful eyes of her doctor means she still needs her doctor. It wouldn't be a crime if she have a basic knowledge of what her doctor will be giving her.

    1. Honestly to me you are one funny person your doctor has answered you and you run to the blog.....clomid is clomid it comes in one dosage which is 50....unlike drugs like amoxycillin that can come in 250,500... Clomid comes as 50 it now depends on how many tablet you are advised to take.....
Please carry yourself back to your doctor how can you allow ya ovaries to fire out your eggs when your husband is not around...you will just waste them for nothing women have an egg pool that deplete as age sets in,new eggs can't be developed unlike men dat generate sperm till they age only the strength of each sperm cell reduces with age....so madam poster aka oversabi be careful how you waste your eggs in the bid of following BVs who prescribe their own medications forgetting to state that they didn't get it from blogs rather from their doctors and they are being monitored.... Someone like you will do oversabi and take clomid longer than prescribed while you are at it I want you to note that just as clomid would help you ovulate more than one eggs availing you to have multiple gestation it can shut your ovaries down granting you premature menopause....
I av said my own....and people wonder why I dislike people prescribing for others without the pharmacological know how

      *I'm out*

    2. Poster.....it's patients like you dat would self medicate go back and say your doctor doesn't know anything then later you would present to that same doctor with complications by then a lot of water has gone under the bridge.....
If you like go on your own and fry your ovaries like I stated they are your ovaries..to expose the height of your desperation and lemme say stupidity you want to swallow it in the absence if your husband Sebi na spiritual husband wan mate with you when all ya eggs are out there.... Pssst

Pardon me BVs I'm sounding like this because I have mentioned times with out number don't accept prescription on blogs because they are usually tailored to an individual even Stella has stated in too.......

I thought it comes like 500/1000 mg that's is why am asking Blogvisitors. Thanks for your advice though too hash.

    7. Dear poster, please follow your doctors plan I use almighty God beg you.....all these issues is what you, your husband and the doctor would have a round table discussion about he might want you to still use the drug in the absence of your husband if your ovaries are not responsive enough but this you have to discuss with your husband as well....
I was harsh and will still continue to be harsh to those who self medicate... The adverse effect of drugs is not something you want to toy with..

Eka joy.. I have noticed you yes I have the oversabi attitude as you call as regards my job..... Unlike you the poster saw reasons with what I posted initially....

Back to poster....harsh or serenren..I'm not apologizing that drug can cause a lot if harm while you are using it for good..please work hand in hand with your doctor....na cos say I love you naim make me harsh..E-hugs dear...God would bless you with healthy kids

  8. You should have asked your doctors these questions. Shouldn't the problem be identified first before proffering solutions? Is this an infertility case? If yes, what is responsible for it? You don't just self medicate. The fact that Clomid worked for woman A doesn't mean it would work for you. Are your medical conditions the same? All the best, sha.

    ReplyDelete
  9. you did not give us your medical history to help us ascertain what the problem could be.there are different things that can cause delayed or total infertility. so without the medical history; nothing much can be written down for you.
NB:: to you and everyone: the advice given here should be a guide on how you seek for help and not the main medical help that you need.please do not do self medication. always ask for your doctors final say; after discussing with him.especially delicate cases like this. so that you won't end up complicating issues or creating more problems.all the best

The dose should be increased only in those patients who do not ovulate in response to cyclic 50 mg CLOMID. A low dosage or duration of treatment course is particularly recommended if unusual sensitivity to pituitary gonadotropin is suspected, such as in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome

  28. Clomid comes only in 50mg strength. It is indicated for use in anovulatory infertility. Madam poster, are you sure that is what you have? Do not self medicate. Your gynae would need to perform certain evaluatory tests on you and exclude some conditions that could cause drug-disease interactions before placing you on clomid.

D doctir didn't place her on clomid cos she doesn't need it. She went asking......

I want to use this opportunity to say something about yesterday's IHN. I am usually busy at work when IHN is being poster and I get to read all the drama in the evenings or night and the essence of commenting becomes fruitless because bvs might not even get to read the comment.

Anyway, this is for the married lady that slept with her client ( I don't even like this title. Wish there is another name to address you with),I like you already. You are the kind of woman I like associating myself with. Your memo is one of the best memos I have read on this blog. So many people here cussed you out in the comment section of your post but you decided not to acknowledge or call them out. You focused on the positives and took the best out of them. You are indeed an intelligent woman. Kudos to you for being the bigger person and thanks for your shout outs. I actually smiled when I read your feedback and decision. Don't worry, God will make your marriage better. Just keep praying and you will see how He will turn your sorrow to joy. There is nothing God cannot do dear.

Maybe I should send stella bae a memo requesting to be your friend lol. Seriously, that's how much you impressed me with your feedback yesterday. Keep being you bae, we can only get better. Where do I send your kiss to?

  35. A Dr and Google should be your friend. Just freeze "Hubby's" "donation" from a used Condom to collect the necessary juice *wink*, store in the freezer and retrieve it from the freezer when you feel fertile. Use a Turkey Baster to utilize the "Ekoh" sit back, relax, and see Kitchen technology take its effect and don't worry, if he says it's impossible 'Lara' or whoever you might name the baby is called, isn't his, drag him to a DNA Clinic and he would be 100% sure Lara is his, just that he didn't use his "Meatloaf" to do the "donation". Stella, please do not Censor me. I am not vulgar am I? I can tone it down if you request. Peace. Happy birthing.

  57. Dear Poster, I have been in your shoes before. I know what it is to be in such situation. I was married for years and braced up for IVF. Today I have a set of twins. Pls go to Bridge Clinic and ask to see Dr. Babatunde who attends Winners Church. I wish you the best as you are TTC. Be strong. Go for deliverance.and for those playing out a drama on ds woman's case, you need to stop it NOW. Trying to conceive can be traumatic and highly psychological. Am referring to BlackBerry and Ureola, the producers of the movie. Iya Nbiu

  59. Poster, Pls stop replying these idiots that dont have d slightest idea of what you are going through. They have no idea what it means to be desperate for a baby. Maybe if u were desperate for a dress or a pair of shoes, maybe they would have understood. See this nonsense quack doctor that calls herself orela abi toriola cussing d poor woman like she has some personal issues with her. Oriola or whatever you call urself, knock urself out with some valium 10 nd sleep if u are tired and cranky nd stop taking out ur frustrations on d poor woman. You can advise someone without cussing d person for goodness sakes. Poor woman has been explaining that she saw d clomid thingy here nd asked her doctor if she could use it so how does dat call for cusses. I hate insensitive people who talk down on others without recourse to how it will make them feel. Orela dimples, blackberry and all others cussers pray u don't ever experience fertility problems. I pray u dont cos then nd only then will you know what this woman is going through. Only then will u know why women in such situations will want to even eat sh.. just becos others ate it nd got pregnant.

  60. Why are people so insensitive? Why are we so quick to cuss out fellow human like its no big deal. If you don't have any good thing to say, why not shut the
    fuck up.
@Orela, i have always respected you and what you stand for. But calling the psoter names is outrightly out of line. I understand that your profession does not support self medication but that doesn't give you the temerity to suggest that the poster needs her head
examined. You don't know what she'sbeen through.only the poster knows where her shoe pinches.
@ poster, madam please stop looking for problem where there is none. Stick to your Doctor's advice and pray to God.
@Dear fellow Bv's, let us learn to brittle our tongues, not every comment should end in insults. Y'all should act your age and not your shoe size.

  62. @ Oriela, u re not the only In-house doctor or medical personnel. Some of us are too, but we just read & don't comment . It's first of all in-ethical to talk to someone in this condition like this. U re not her personal Gp for crying out loud!! Do u read her replies or responses@ all? Did u read where she said her doctor gave her the prescription to pick up the drug? Why insult an adult like this? I find u very Razz in ur approach. Do u want her to go into depression or become suicidal? She's already desperate as it is, why curse her?
I'll expect u to tender an unreserved apology to her.
Sabo is even more cultured than u are on this .. Mtscheeeeeewww..

  63. Orela, pls take it easy on the poster. Patient care is not only about the "know how", trying to understand the patient's view &lovingly correcting them is key too.
If you've never bn in someone's shoes u might not understand how much it hurts them &mks them desperate for a solution. So pls and pls, tk it easy on her. She's going tru alot already, pls don't add to it. Let's just cheer her up, gv tips to help her &lovingly correct her if need be.

  64. Orela, u are so full of hate jare. And u sid u re a doctor? I hope u dont end up being a doctor to anyone i know. Didnt u hear the lady say that her doctor gave her the prescription? Thats not self medicating. She has the right to ask her doctor about any drugs whatsoever. Its now up to the doctor to tell her if she needs it or not. In this case, her doctor said its fine. She just was confused about the doses, thence the question. Is it that some bv's dont understand her write up? Poster. Am ttc ing too. So i know what u re going through. This is our year gal. Baby dust ur way!

  66. You actually make it appear so easy with your
presentation however I in finding this topic to be really
one thing that I feel I might never understand. It sort of
feels too complex and very broad for me. I'm looking forward for your
subsequent publish, I'll attempt to get the dangle of it!
