Ezekwesili disses AIG Mbu on twitter

''People like you cannot be the face of the police''........

Former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili, has given the Assistant Inspector-General of Poilce, Joseph Mbu, a wash down on twitter over his recent statement where he 'allegedly' urged Police officers to shoot 20 civilians for police man killed during the forthcoming general elections.

That statement was so wrong! I expected him to apologize publicly.

    1. That's what this fool has refused to do o. When will these old morons realize that the words they throw around have consequences. The single biggest problem Buhari has with his campaign today is the same carelessness of the gob that mbu has. As much as I don't like oby, I am totally with her in this one. What is so wrong with an apology??? I know for a fact that police officers talk like this. Privately. For a statement that was released??? Next thing he will resign and want to contest election and say his views have changed. #Enoughisenough #mbumustgo

    2. How can he apologise when the power that be is solidly behind him? Sometimes i wonder if pple read history at all. Dont they know what happened to pple that acted like this in the past? But then what do i know, my late sister used to say a wise man learn from another mans mistakes but a follish man.................. i rest my case.

    2. Keep hiding your head under the water, or bury it under the sand out of fear. That's the more reason why people like Mbu can make such statements and get away with you. Do not stand for what is right. Keep cowering in fear. Maybe if them bash you for internet, you quickly delete your comments too? Asori for my people.

Do you know that it might befall a friend or a relative (God forbid. I'm just saying). Please stop being intimidated unnecessarily and learn to speak out.

  28. When I first heard the statement, I thought something ain't right, I said to someone sitting beside me, he can't say that. I then realised the guy next to me was eyibo. I expected the guy to resign and tender a resignation letter or be forced to resign. Am sure pipu will call me mumu for suggesting that. However, that's what pipu with common sense do, except common sense is not common dis dayz. It's a shame, I weep for Nigeria and I look at my children and also feel sorry for them. It's sad, very sad. i sat down one day and I allowed my imagination to run wild, can yu imagine all the money embezzled, stolen, misused, misappropriate yu name it, was or is actually used or use to develop Nigeria, I wonder how Nigeria would be like. I guess we would never know. It's a shame and very sad.

  31. One thing is obvious from most of the comments so far, many do not know what AIG mbu really said- anyone who kills a policeman during the election period, we will kill 20 of then. I think the only people who should be complaining here are those who plan to kill policemen, if you have no such intention then his words are not for you. Simple as a b c

  34. D threat may not be good but considering how dis politicians are threaten war all over I don't see anything thing wrong in what he said.look at how Chisco buses were burnt cos an opposition poster was pasted there. On two occasions there was mayhem in Oshodi innocent people were killed and some police men were wounded . Yet you want him to keep cool and allow all dis greedy and selfish politicians to kill his men. What I understand from his statement is that d policitians should keep their touts away from d polls simple.
