Wole Arisekola Named Chairman Of Association Of Online Media Practitioners Of Nigeria.

Wole Arisekola, publisher of Street Journal magazine with headquarters in Dublin, has just been named the Chairman of the Association of Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria.

Mr. Wole Arisekola who started the popular magazine many years ago in Dublin in the Republic of Ireland, has always stood for truth, unbiased reporting and fairness in the line of journalism.

Street Journal magazine found its way into the online genre of journalism almost a decade now. It is known not only to celebrate achievers; it has also greatly lent a voice to the cries of the needy, the disadvantaged and often neglected people in the society.

Very active in his pursuit of a better existence for humanity, Wole Arisekola has a forum through which he pays school fees for indigent children, assists widows with funding for their businesses and puts youths in vocational training.

Born into a wealthy background, one would easily assume and conclude that he has no reason to ‘align’ himself or business with the masses, but interestingly, he seems to be different. Wole Arisekola’s passion, commitment and determination towards making Nigeria better is quite impressive. When in Dublin, he simultaneously eats, live and thinks of Nigeria; and is always guided and inspired by the burning desire that Nigeria can definitely and would still be a better place to live in.
The Ibadan born journalist promises to see to it that online media establishes sanity in how news is disseminated.

‘We are determined to help in putting a lot of sanity into news reportage. We would ensure that members of this association are not only men and women who have a flair for the media, they are actually men and woman who have carved a niche for themselves in the world of journalism. Our members are men and women who are committed to bringing out the truth in their reportage.

Our members are respected people in the world of media generally, not only online media. We are poised to putting a lot of sanity into online media. Issues such as plagiarism, writing without giving credit and writing without investigating stories would soon become a thing of the past’, he said in Abuja when he hosted press men for a briefing on his new appointment.

Congratulations Wole
