Our desire to promote early childhood development, encourage education
amongst disadvantaged children attending low-income (public) schools
and create a conducive environment for learning has led us to
launching the "Better Life Through Education" project.
Progressive Nursery and Primary School, Festac Town was the first
beneficiary of this project. Whiteboards, dusters, markers, chairs and
tables were
donated to both nursery and primary classes of the school. Some of the
classrooms were also rehabilitated during the course of the project.
We sincerely wish to thank the Shoprite Community Network for ably and
generously supporting us during this project. We also wish to thank
Verdant Zeal, the Lagos State Education Board as well as our media
partners, Stella Dimoko Korkus blog, Vanguard newspapers, Punch and
ThisDay. May God continue to bless and increase you in every way.
We will like to reach out to a needy single mother or widow who wishes
to enrol her child in school but cannot afford to do that at this time, under
our Education Trust Fund.

ReplyDeleteThis is a very good initiative. There are some very poor schools in Lagos. A friend of mine is a teacher in a public school in Orile, the whole roof and building is slowly failing apart. Great work Shoprite and Save Our Needy, I pray God will give you guys the strength to do more.
