The US government has thrown its weight behind the earth-shattering claims that cannabis kills cancer cells.
Everyone from hippies to conspiracy theorists and even several creditable scientists have previously argued that smoking or ingesting the herb can have medicinal benefits.
Cancer kills up to 20,000 people worldwide every day, according to global health estimates.
Health researchers for the US government claim that cannabinoids - the active ingredients in cannabis - can inhibit the illness by causing cell death and blocking key blood vessels needed by tumours to grow.
They say studies in mice and rats show cannabinoids may be able to kill cancer cells - while still protecting normal cells.
Key chemical ingredients in marijuana were found effective in fighting against colon cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer and several other forms of the disease.
It was also suggested that cannabidiol can boost the effectiveness of chemotherapy - without any of the nasty side effects.

"A laboratory study of delta-9-THC in hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) cells showed that it damaged or killed the cancer cells. The same study of delta-9-THC in mouse models of liver cancer showed that it had antitumor effects."

Yes it's been often argued bout d role of MJ in medicine, its process form have been found to be helpful in treating cataract and somewhat in irritable bowel syndrome bt like i said, it is its processed form and not in its raw form.
As for the above,its been found beneficial in some form of cancers bt d confusion still remains,whilst in its fight in protecting A, it sure has a role in elevating B.

I read of a story of a man whose daughter was down with cancer and was already given a specified time in whuch she was to die. This man used this thing and it helped improve the girl's health drastically. Didn't follow up the story to know if he was eventually arrested or not.
But for those who have relations suffering from cancer, they will be willing to try out anything. MODERATION is the key. When u know the pains a cancer patients go through, u'll understand.
In my opinion, if this is confirmed, Nigerian government should key into it and have a way of regularizing the usage. That's all....

There is no research on earth that says it does but when people MIX it with other d drugs like cocaine, acid etc that is when it is harmful. My 20yrs as a scientist I have never seen a case of Marijuana alone induced madness. The only side effect to me is increase in appetite (if that is considered a side effect) so please before people make claims do a little research get facts. Reading helps.
