EFCC files 7-count Charge Against PDP Spokesman Olisa Metuh

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it has filed a seven count charge of criminal breach of trust, corruption and money laundering against the National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Olisa Metuh.

Mr Metuh, according to the charges, transferred the sum of $1 million dollars through his agent, Nneka Nicole Ararume, to one Sie Iyenome of Capital Field Investment, committing an offence contrary to Section One of the Money Laundering Act.

He is also accused of receiving the sum of N400 million from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki, without a contract contrary to the Money Laundering Act.

Mr Metuh, is also accused of converting the said money to funds for political activities of the PDP.
Listed as witnesses in the suit are five commercial banks, a representative in the Office of the National Security Adviser, three investment houses and eight individuals.

The EFCC has however not indicated when the PDP spokesman will be arraigned.
The EFCC also said it has a valid court order to detain Mr Metuh over alleged corruption related crime.

    1. I always say that these guys shouldnt demystify the ONSA cos it will spell doom 4 this country.
National security isnt about buying arms only, there are even more covert things that go on with cash in that office. Even the people that drafted the constitution know this thats why so much power was vested in that office and ensured its secrecy

  4. I only see Karma at work on this Olisa Metuh's issue.

The man, out of greed collected about N2Billion from Chief T.A Orji to substitute the rightful winner of PDP guber primaries in Abia (Dr Uche Ogah) with Dr Okezie Ikpeazu. As though that was not enough, when Abians embarked on a protest vote against the PDP by voting overwhelmingly for APGA, this man again relocated to Abia with all the federal might he could muster to intimidate the INEC resident officers.

Our prayers have ascended heaven obviously and justice is being meted out on all fronts to the glee of all well-meaning Abians.

It is shame on evil doers.

    1. Point of correction, Govs are the most powerful people in a party and they control all party apparatus and in the case of abia, orji was in total control. There is no way his candidate would have lost a primary.

    1. It is even unethical to be saying or announcing all ur investigations b4 u charge sm1 to court...thats why we hardly get convictions.
I think the CJ has told judges to stop giving all these orders to remand till further notice bcos u only arrest and detain when you are ready to charge to court.
