BABY DADDY WITHOUT A BABY.
Hi Stella. You are doing a great job. More grace! I hope my narrative isn't too long. I need advise from you and your readers, especially women and mothers...and please I'd like to be anonymous. Thank you.
Some years ago, my girlfriend visited from Europe where she resides. Prior to her coming, she'd told me she wants to get pregnant for me when she comes. I told her the time was not right as I was planning to go back to school for my Masters and wasn't financially ready for a baby (and a family).
When she got to Nigeria, she won't let me use a condom. I begged for understanding but she won't change her mind. She cried and said I do not love her because if I do, I'd make her pregnant so we'll have a baby. She said the baby won't be a burden on me as she's financially stable and can take care of the baby until when I'm able to.
After some days, I gave in (couldn't stand her tears) and we made love without condoms until she left the country. I secretly prayed she won't become pregnant but three weeks later, she called rejoicing that she's pregnant. I wasn't happy but didn't show it. But after some time, I accepted my fate and looked forward to the arrival of our baby.
Few months later, she became super-suspicious and jealous: insulting me and accusing me of cheating on her because she is not in Nigeria. Truth is, I wasn't cheating. For example, she'd call me nonstop for hours, sometimes 3 hours, and when I tell her we should talk later cos I need to attend to some stuffs, she'll get very angry, call me a player and angrily hang up. She'd call at odd hours (midnight) and if I dont pick, she'd say I was sleeping with another woman. I was unfazed as I believe pregnancy makes women become hyper-sensitive.
She asked me to relocate and join her (she was ready to sponsor it) because she wants me close. The timing wasn't right so I politely refused as I didn't want to abandon my M.sc or be a 'liability' to her in a foreign country.
Then the fights began!
She said I don't want to join her because of my harem of women here (I am someone women call 'fine boy'). I tried unsuccessfully to reassure her of my love but she won't just believe I wasn't cheating. Then one day, after many quarrels, she broke up with me, said I keep hurting her, that she is lonely without me, and that she can no longer cope with the pregnancy as I'm not there with her and that she'll abort the pregnancy.
I begged her not to abort but she blocked me on FB, deleted me off her BBM, won't take my calls or reply my text messages and for months, I didn't hear from her. It was a very sad period for me.
Then one day, out of the blues, she called and told me she was sorry and that we can still be friends and she added me back on BBM. After a few days, she told me she wants to tell me something but I should promise her I won't be angry. I promised. She told me she's had a baby girl few weeks ago! I was surprised and naturally I asked if she didn't abort the pregnancy.
She said she did and that the baby isn't mine. She went on to send me several pictures of the beautiful baby. Even though I was very angry, i congratulated her.
One day, I used the baby's picture as DP and friends kept asking if the baby was mine because they say she looks like me. I told her this but she said my friends think she's my daughter because like me, the baby is cute (cute people don't all look alike, no? especially as we are not Chinese). She even told me the baby have some of my habits but still insisted the baby isn't mine. I've asked her so many times and got the same response.
The baby would be five (5) this year and if I'm her father, I want to be a part of her life. My friends say I should just chill and that if the baby is mine, I'll know some day.
How do I know the truth? Did she really abort the pregnancy when she said she did? Do I ask for a DNA (she and the baby are in Europe)? Or I should just forget it?
I am confused and need advise on what to do. Thank you ma'am.
*Why are you pushing this?Relax and wait.It is only a woman who knows who the Father of her baby is,if she says its not yours,you cannot force her until time tells all.
She has probably told another man that the baby belongs to him and that was why she cut off communication with you..She was the one that was cheating and building a break up because she found someone else.
Or she used you to make a baby that will help her stand firm in Europe...

Imagine saying he gave in to her and had unprotected sex because he couldn't stand her tears. Really? So you would also willingly catch an incurable disease just because a woman was crying that she wanted to be sexually reckless and you couldn't stand her tears? Come off it already! You both were very irresponsible and she obviously had an agenda from the get-go. You could have avoided any of these uncertainties if only you had acted responsibly. She either wanted to pin someone else's baby on you or wanted to settle down at all cost and wanted to pin you down first with the baby and then with you relocating to join her and since that didn't work, she also could have broken up with you to pin the baby on someone else. She very well could be having guilty conscience again and then decided to let you back in her and the baby's lives just to soothe her conscience. The best option is to get a way of doing a DNA test to find out for sure. And next time, don't pretend to use that tears excuse for having unprotected sex with women again before you unwillingly turn to Tubaba........ Just Me

If she claims to hv aborted, she should provide clinical documents and valid receipts containing the hospitals contacts, that's even way cheaper than DNA.... ReplyDeleteYeah poster. Do not demand for DNA test, rather, start making plans to travel to Europe(where d lady lives). Visit with her. Cut some strands of her daughter's hair or better still, on one of your visits, buy 2 lollipops of the same kind, give the girl one to lick, find a way to collect it without her mom knowing and replace it with the other one. Keep the first one(actually,hide it) in a ziploc bag. whenever you come back, take it for DNA testing.

Today, our ladies sleep with multiple men on the same day, some within days. Most of them don't even know the shelf live of the sperm pumped into them is about 48-72 hours. In a society where about 30% of our first born do not belong to the man who is today their father and often the women don't know. Infidelity on the part of married women is increasing geometrically by the second. I laugh when women ignorantly claim men are wicked, the reverse is the case. The modern woman witg the except of a few is the devil, heartless and inhuman..blast..

I'm trusting I would meet one among them cos I'm seriously searching! To the poster, I understand how you feel, but like Stella said, give it time. It's really hard to keep calm in this situation knowing that you could be the father. You have two options, ask for a DNA test(which she probably would object to)or just let it be. If you can afford it, try the DNA route. Keep pushing until she agrees. You deserve to know the truth. Do you know any of her friends, relatives, family? You can also gather info through them. Talk to a much older female close to her, if possible her mum if you have access to her. It will give you a little peace knowing that you tried.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with you Chidi Anindu that ain't his child she was already pregnant and wanted to pin it on him....but maybe the real father of the baby now accepted she decided to block him off.....I might be wrong though just my opinion...

U can tke the child for DNA to find out if the child is really yours. But this babe sharp die. She just wanted to use you to have a baby.

ReplyDeleteTwo: she has been unsuccessfully trying to get pregnant for her europe lover and she used you as a sperm donor to get a baby . she probably didnt want to loose at both ends that was why she told you about the pregnancy in case the lover does not accept . in this case she had no plans of taking you there, was only deceiving you. She is keeping you close to her to get a soft landing if she eventually decide to come out with the truth
I dont understand. You did not want the pregnancy. She begged you. You gave in. She wanted you to come over to Europe and be part of the pregnancy. You refused. She told you she would abort. She had the baby-She had a baby. Did i read that its been five years? Now friends are telling you the baby looks like you- is beautiful blah blah. Now you want the baby? But she maintains its not yours?? Mr BV. I would do exactly what she has done. The girl has moved on with her life. Its a child you didnt want in the first instance. So what to do? Wait. ReplyDeleteIt seems to me you were involved with an emotionally unstable woman. The baby is most likely yours and she said what she did to mess with your head. She succeeded. Beg her to take a partenity test and if she refuses, then let it go.
