Lagos Water Taxi's

Traffic is gridlocked on the streets of Lagos during rush hour. In a bid to offer much-needed relief to weary commuters in the metropolis on the Gulf of Guinea, the authorities are turning to the waterways.

    1. Look at how dirty the water is. Like sewerage.
Once Nigerians see water, many things come to their mind, to pee, to poooh, to throw something away or to Shit. Instead of not putting something inside that water, they will find a way and Spit.

Be warned WAI is back. No more eating gala and throwing the sachet on the road. Or purewater. No more disobeying traffic light. Don't go and test your fate.

    2. They better know how to swim before embarking on boat transport

      I can't shout mbok.

You can't rule out "boat mishaps"...So,they better be prepared.

    4. I won't go on boat ride unless I can swim v well. It is better to be late than be the late. Good luck to those using it.

    5. My driver uses this water taxi and I'm always worried for him. Esp during raining season. When I tried to convince him to stop until the season is dry. He said "ah aunty, nothing dey happen o, I can swim well well because I be calabar boy". I was like ok o. But he seems happy with the arrangement because it is less stressful.

Even one man in my office who lives in Ikorodu, he also uses it only when it is not raining though. But I hear it's more expensive. I'm more worried for their safety. I hope they allow only the serviced carriers that pass MOT.

    2. Not the ones that ply ikorodu route. It carries just 23 people, if we are more than that the driver will know because the boat won't be balanced. I take the boat to the island every time, life is too short to b stuck in traffic.

    4. They should insist on the number of passengers and not allow greed finish them o. Trust Nigerians to abuse it by overcrowding the shuttle. One can quickly disembark on land if trouble starts, but on water? Ehhh

  7. Transportation by water is pretty good, fast and time effective.
I take it almost all the time but my fear most time is their ignorance, not having enough engine fuel, risking peoples life with over speeding and then overcrowding.
If the owners can maintain good service, i believe even with a high fare, people will prefer it than eating breakfast and dinner in traffic

  8. I better remain in traffic than going through boat
