What are people even saying here. A pet most have a name or are we now saying the over 1million people that have pet should go to jail? Cos their pet most answer a name of someone and if the person reports to the police you will go to jail?do pets have special names? Guilt is at work here advance countries give pet names of president and all that and no one is angry because of the life pets live over there. They live better than most Africans do. People are busy going to the moon, while we are busy shouting praise The Lord for common light, people are building super sonic trains, we are busy calling a governor Jesus for constructing 1km single lane. With all this war, sicknesses, poverty and humans right abuse we get here is it not worst than animals? We are angry? But we are not angry at our governments when we see people living under bridges like animals? We are angry, but not angry when a woman dies at child birth due to lack of hospital equipment or drugs, we are angry, but we don't get angry when bad roads send people to early graves, we are angry, but don't get angry whe. We see people that can't eat due to poor government plan. But pets overseas have good food, house, health care and in some cases bank accounts.some even have cloths. I sorry for Africa.

  4. Whoever supports this man should please buy a dog and call the dog by his/her mothers name. This man needs to be sent to jail ASAP. Nigeria as a country is in a tense moment. We have IPOB, Avengers, OPC, Boko Haram crisis at hand. An american can call his dog Jimmy or Obama thats the white not we african that see disrespect as an issue. A white man can call his mom by her name. Can you 'black' call your mom by her name?

This man has broken so many laws of the land

    1. breaching of public peace

    2. Intent to incite ethnic violence

    3. Abuse of host community

He needs to be sent to jail and i wonder why he was granted bail.

    lol

    2. Can't me make constructive arguments without insulting each other? I'm sure there are so many Buhari's & putting someone in jail over something this silly is a miscarriage of justice. What laws did he break? Buhari in this context is a "family name" & if you ever took your dog or any pet to a vet, you are required to use your last name for the pet. It's not a black vs white thing... #commonsense thing.

What type of country is Nigeria? Why can't he name his dog after the president? Did he say he will kill the president? Did he in anyway start a riot, incite violence, damage public property etc? So why is he being arrested? President Buhari, please use your power and release that man o because there is no reason why he should be in prison. He was only exercising his right as the owner of that dog. Remember sir, you are the leader of a democratic country.

  16. If he had named his dog Buhari and not put a tag with the inscription of the name on the dog, then going to patrol where northeners are, he probably wouldn't have been sent to jail.He clearly was inciting violence and there could have been lives lost and ethnic war if those people had attacked him.During the days of girls wearing Akwaoche, lives were lost at Oyingbo because some daft people harassed a girl putting on velvet material. In as much as we have freedom of speech,we shouldn't incite violence with our actions.
