    1. I was at Ojo barracks earlier today, the whole place was flooded,no drainage system was constructed in the whole barracks. I heard that it is the biggest in Africa. Our government is not trying when it comes to project planning and execution, it's not just about constructing road

    3. Everywhere in Lagos is flooded including the mainland. It took me 4and a half hours from surulere to VI today cos of traffic caused by flood. It's not perculiar to Lekki. It's just that other areas will drain faster than Lekki when the rain finally stops.

    9. In other areas it is called flash floods. Btw, its not all areas of the mainland that are flooded oh. All the high areas are not flooded. We all see the rain fall, we don't experience flood. But in all I sympathise with people caught in this. Flood experience is not a nice one one bit.

Lekki was almost submerged today, my estate was not flooded but the roads leading out to the main express, Lord have mercy, so many cars broke down, we are VIP and this should not be happening to our environment. For the people laughing at lekki residents and creating all sorts of memes online thinking it is 'funny' all i have to tell you is that this flooding problem will eventually be fixed and even if the prices of homes crash in this part of lagos, you all laughing will never be able to afford it. You are free to abuse your mothers and grandmothers under my comment.

    1. Laughing at who? Abeggy. The flooding is state-wide. We are in a peninsula so it would naturally start here. Did we not see Awka yesterday? Just stay indoors, have tea and read some books.

      Delete
    2. Why take it personal? Making memes about a current situation is not new. Laugh and waka pass. Or are your properties swimming on water? Dont worry this too shall pass.

      Delete
    3. Iya don't mind them. They are mad cos they can't even afford the rent. Please who has seen La Fresh? Hope she didn't go out today?

    4. Hahahahahahaha.
      It ain't that serious.
Don't mind them even mainland and outside Lagos gets flooded. Did we not see somewhere flooded in the East yesterday.
I don't let such things bother me. Everyone has right to live anyway they want to live. It's a thing of choice.

By the way peeps, guess where I am posting this comment from

  19. At the risk of sounding insensitive. Good for them.

    This happens every year.

    Nigerians never learn.

You already know your drainage systems are filled with all the junk you throw into it.

Pure water nylons, empty containers, bottles, plastic packs etc.
It's not just any Island thing it's all over Lagos. Ogba, Allen, Yaba etc.

Instead of you to channel your energy and see how these can be cleared before the rainy season starts, you wii prefer to spend all your energy chattering away on bbn. Petition local government chairmen to ensure these drainages are covered. Instead you will be canvassing for votes for Big Brother Naija.

Loll, keep suffering then, lousy dolts, it looks good on y'all.

Next year it will still be the same. I hope it rains heavily non stop for the next 2 weeks.

    1. God bless you anonymous!
I was watching a Yoruba movie online (though, it took me about five days to finish it), I saw one of the actor disposing the sachets of the biscuit she ate on the road just like that.
I was shocked that an actor could do such a disgusting thing.
Back then, my dad will never allowed us to throw things outside, he always say; cleanliness is nearest to godliness.

People throw things on the street anyhow in Nigeria, those trash go the gutters and drainage. It blocks the sewage and during the rainy season it turns to a curse on them.

Don't let it happened before you cry out.

Even now they've turned it into sharing memes and jokes on Social media. There's something wrong, totally broken down with Nigerians ability to objectively reason.

It's amazing that people that mocking people on the island, I just don't understand it, when natural disasters like this happen abroad, the citizens from other parts starts a hashtag to help people involved to raise awareness and help the situation but in my country, it will never happen..... we don't care about our Neighbour, we don't love one another, everything is competition. That's why things won't change because every migerian cares for only himself/herself.
