Reversing The Roles Between A Man And A Woman

Is this really a man's role or given to him by society?

The traditional way is for the man to pick up the lady and drop her off but let us reverse the roles in this case.

Would you pick up a man and drop him off? Will you get turned off by this?

This is for ladies with cars and those still in the process of acquiring one. Let's discuss this as if it's the reality....

*I dont see any big deal in this abeg!

    1. This clearly shows you don't have a car. If you eventually get one , I doubt it will last long before it gets stolen, with this your mumu mentality.

    2. Sure is not a big deal, but he'd have to take care of the bills.

    3. World people! I'm yet to but a car but at least my dad bought 2 cars for his kids to use whenever they chose!

So true to your talk, I've not bought a car but I use cars

    4. @ May...did you actually read before commenting? In your village, if someone offers to take you out, is it you the invitee that will take care of the bills or the person that invited you out? In your local sense, if he drives, you'd have to take care of the bills

  2. Ok, let me read comments. Then, when I get a car of my own, or at the verge of getting one, I will come back and comment.... LMAO.

  3. There's no big deal about it as long as he asked me out and he is paying. I can't be climbing bike because I feel too big to go pick him up and drop him. I've had a car since I graduated school and a girl has got to eat. I have done this with my male friends who aren't mobile but they pick up the tab when we are out and everyone is cool. I won't do this for someone I don't like or don't roll with. You have to be worth it.

  4. Stella its not a big deal.

I remember when I was dating my wife years back, she used to drop me off to my gate with her dad's car anytime i visits. It depends on the orientation a woman has and this simple act made me to see her on a different side of life more than other numerous ladies I had then.

  15. This is no big deal if the lady had to do it just once but doing it again and again is evil not just bad.

Its a man's resposibility to protect a lady and makes sure the lady gets home safe first before he (the man) goes home.

Na so e suppose be as far as I'm concerned.

  19. I just started driving recently and its been really awkward when i have to meet up with a guy on a date, pull up there in separate cars and drive off separately- no chance for goodbye kiss*side eye*. Personally, i don't see a big deal with who picks who up,i'm more concerned about driving there separately.

    1. Thank you babe ..... What's the essence of going in separate cars. You no go fit bond like you said. And it's romantic to be picked up by a babe o. You get to compliment and say sweet things and watch her blush. Am a guy and the few times I request the babe pick me up is always fun trust me.

  20. What if he doesn't stay in the country? May be he just came into the country and needs to hang out with you. Meanwhile , super-duper richer than you?

No hard and fast rule abeg.

  21. Personally, I don't know any man that will agree to this without a fight. A man would see it upon himself to see you are safe inside after an outing before he'd leave for his own place.

I can pick up a man and drop him but then, it won't be his outing, it'll be my outing. He shouldn't tell me "I want to take you out but you'll pick me up and drop me", I should be the one to say "babe, let me take you out. I'll pick you up and drop you"... But like I stated earlier, the men I know would agree to be picked up but I don't think they'll want to get in to their house first before I get into mine

  22. No big deal, whoever has a ride should pik up the other. Even if we both have we wont use separate cars na...its no biggie

  23. No hard and fast rule to it. What a man can do....a woman will do better.

  24. There's no big deal in picking and dropping him off, as far the payment comes from his pocket

  25. Why do anyone have to pick up anyone? We both meet at the date venue simple. He could ask his own boys to drop him or take a cab or whatever. It lessens his dignity in my eyes if I have to go pick him and drop him off. Is that gon be my duty when we get in a relationship ????

  27. When hubby and I were dating, it was no big deal as I had a car and he didn't. I didn't trust anyone to drive me, so I would pick him up, and after we were done hanging out, I would drop him off and drive 30 minutes back home. Even he was too scared to drive because he was involved in an accident that left him with multiple fractures and after several surgeries, and doubts that he would ever walk again, he recovered but has to use a cane for support. Well, because I had fallen in love with him, I kept urging him to drive and eventually offered my car for him to practice with. Because he was probably scared of embarrassing himself in my presence, he asked that I stayed back while his brother accompanied him, and I was happy to oblige. A couple of hours later, he called back and with so much excitement, narrated how he had been driving all over town and with much ease. Boy, I was ecstatic. Today, he is my husband and drives me to and from work, unless he's out of town. Did I also mention that he got a better job and treats me like a queen and is such a doting dad to our kids. I know I'm the luckiest woman in the world

  28. It is not a big deal.. It depends on the level of their friendship.

  29. Well, it depends on what I am reversing in the role o. To pick and drop a guy on a first date is a BIG NO. Paying bills when you invite me out is a NO.(though, I always carry vex money when going on a date). Am an African woman o can't do it. Even now that am married I support only when I want to,won't birth more than I can care for biko!!!. My mom is a big lesson to me can't be a virtuous woman the way she is o. Abeg!!! Love me I love, hate me, na your head ache be that. Can't deal

  30. I see no big deal there. As far as he didn't lie to me about his status.
