Pali Chronicles

Picture this ''She was the chief brides maid at her husband's wedding to his girlfriend. She was all smiles as she proudly watched her husband take his vow with another woman...the rewards would be great she thought to herself...''

Like i said in today's spontaneous post ,My Nigerian friend gisted me that his Nigerian friend recently went to Marry for ''PALI'' in Nigeria and his Nigerian wife was the one who ran around arranging all that had to do with the wedding and because it was hurried, she also doubled as the Chiefs bridesmaid and was all smiles .

I can Imagine myself playing that role but only as an actress in a movie.

What kind of arrangement you ask?well it happens all the time and some women are ready to even pose as their husband's grandmothers just to aide him in getting his 'pali' to open the path to Abroad..

Do you know any 'Pali' stories?Abeg gist us!

By the way- Do you know what Pali is?Pali means paper...paper to legitimately stay in the diaspora...Understand?

    2. Anytime,I see stories like this,I feel nothing but pain. How do you joke with someone's feelings. This old Aunty is probably in love with this boy and yet all this boy is thinking of is papers. I hate liars and deceitful people.
To think his wife is aware and involved in this scam. I hope she does not complain too much when she begins to reap what she sowed.

  3. True o...A guy in my neighbourhood brought his white woman to Nigeria. His baby mama was the one going around for both of them. He introduced her as his junior sister She'd chill with them in the hotel till night, take the woman to make her hair and nails, be their 5th wheel on dates and all but I'm not certain if the guy and the white lady eventually married. Things people will do for money sha.

  9. I know a family. Husband married a whitey, left wife and full grown kids in Nigeria. Eventually he got his papers, made a lot of money and then he died the same year
The wife agreed to the plan cos she wanted her kids to move to the abroad. Sadly it didn't work out that way for them

Be careful how you toy with people's feelings for whatever reason because no one knows tomorrow... one day, we will all stand before God who is the judge of all.

  12. I know a lady whose husband (now ex) went to marry her younger sister in Nigeria.
She entered the country illegally and the law of the country didn't permit her to marry the countryman. So, they made an arrangement for the man to go to Nigeria, performed the marriage rites (traditional included) and her sister was granted visa and she was able to enter the abroad with the man.

They came to the country and everything seem normal, until the younger sister started disrespecting her older sister, meanwhile, the older was quite smart, she make sure she pursue her paper processing and her documents were granted very fast.

One day, when she returned from work, she met her sister naked having sex with her beloved husband. She lost conciousness because she couldn't believe what she saw, after she regained conciousness, she asked her sister to move out of her home; that was when she received the biggest surprise of her life.

Her sister said she was not leaving because, the man is her husband and that she's legally married to the man. The useless man also supported the little girl. The big sister could not do anything, all she had to do was cry and cry... She was the one that left after so many call from family and friends both in Nigeria and in the diaspora.

Almost, every one heard the story then.
The older sister has since moved on, she's married now with kids but, to a Nigerian.
The two sisters are sworn enemies, you can never see them in the same gathering.

These things happen a lot. Some women will even leave the bed for their husband to have his way with another woman all for paper.

I don't understand the story either.
So she entered illegally into the country and the laws didn't permit her to marry(???)
How does the husband marrying the younger sister help solve that problem?

    7. What os here not to understand? Hian

    8. Here goes -

Older sister entered the country illegally
The husband is a citizen of that country
Older sister is not permitted to marry citizen cos of country's laws
They arrange for country man to go to Naija And marry younger sister

Hope y'all can.piece together the rest....

  15. During my last visit to naija, i had a conversation with my hairdresser and he told me how he was desperate to relocate to Europe preferably..hmm i tried to encourage him that naija isn't all that bad and there's nothing much Abroad, brother man wasn't having any of that o, he just wanted out and he has his strategy all planned.

He said he wants to go there and marry a white woman for papers, ha! me being a feminist flew up and said 'Haba but you have a wife now and a new born, how do you think she'll feel?' He cut me and replied- my wife even suggested it to me that i must impregnate the white woman if i get the chance so she will be eager to file for me. i was like 'wawu'.

So there are really some women that back up their partners to defraud others, this sister came in with her newborn strapped to her back and we continued the convo, in fact she shocked me so much cause she even added prayer that God will provide the 'good woman' that will help them stress-free and rapidly too. He ended the convo with i love my wife die, i cannot joke with her..

My jaw hung for days. lol.

  16. Something similar happened to my cousin but in her own case the abroad babe was a young girl and her hubby was after the girl's money.
This guy came home one Christmas with this babe, and introduced his wife as his sister to the abroad lady. If he wants to tell my cousin I love you, he will say it in igbo.
Initially my cousin agreed to endure. But when the public display of love between her husband and the abroad lady became much, my sister broke bottle and threatened to kil her self and the man. Their marriage ended sha.
Guess what? The guy married another Nigerian babe who happened to be my friend. My cousin married another guy and they are living happily in owerri.

  18. Teja had a thriving printing business in Auchi those days.. The best sef. He travelled to holland ans left his wife and his 6 kids for 13 years. He married a white woman for papers and after 13 years, he visited. His wife looked like His mother, one of Hus daughters had a baby.Hus only son was wayward and his eldest daughter was a popular runs girl. He messed his home up. Now he has gone back for good .he has a child with his white wife and has forgotten his wife.his kids are now married and gia wife is now a deeper life woman and frustrated ,piir and lonely. See what pali caused?
Thankfully the wife's prayers brought her children back to normal and they are all good people now including the olosho candy.

  20. That's how one married alhaja died in New York because the person that was doing Pali for her was doing her anal. She died and they called her husband in Nigeria to let him know. FYI her husband agreed to the plan and paid for the package sef unfortunately the Akata they were using starting asking for Nyansh on top of money that they paid him.

  21. So many funny stories I heard my dad was a diplomat in one European Country, there was one Naija woman who married an imbecile man for pali, she now wanted to divorce him and carry the kids away, government now didn't let her she now came to the Embassy for help, or is it the man that married a white woman for docu, he now brought his own daughter, lied that she was an orphan, whitey now adopted the girl as her own, when it was now time and the man wanted to divorce her and bring his family over, she didn't let him take the child since she legally adopted the girl, till now the girl is staying with her, and the father only has visitation rites whereas the real mom cries everyday, or the one where the husband told the wife he was going to sign some papers that she was dead, she too, she agreed, her husband now died later on abroad and she couldn't claim anything since she was legally dead, too many stories, just too many.

  22. I won't oooo manage my man with any woman cos of Pali Or anything never

  23. There's one like that, married his Pali for years with a son, has a Nigeria wife, but always lie to people that his oyibo wife knows about the Nigeria wife, this oyibo according to him always buy things for his naija wife and kids. The day his halbe halbe son travelled to naija with him, came back and told his mama everything, the oyibo woman separated from him immediately(I don't know whether they are now divorced) and never can trust any Nigeria man again.
This man stayed in the marriage, because as a married person here, you pay less tax and also less insurance, in short there are many benefits for married couples.
Black men are deceit, more especially Nigerians, or is it our desperate naija girls.
And you that know all that his 'shanigans', his deceit, you think he will treat you any better if he brings you here? Nie!

Is it the ones that go home just to look for working class ladies, marry them and leave them there only to return to naija, impregnate them, and left the ladies to pay the bills with the excuse that she works,or the ones that swear that their naija wives can never visit talk more of living here, but promise the girls that they will bring them in the abroad at the initial stage.
Stella, abeg, their stories are for another day, because 'ihmplenti'.
