EFCC Discovers N6bn Abuja Plaza Allegedly Belonging To Patience Jonathan

The saga between former First lady Dame Patience Jonathan and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has taken yet another turn after the anti-graft agency discovered an uncompleted eight-storey building in a prime area of Abuja allegedly belonging to her.

The building, which has been described by the EFCC as a ‘magnificent architectural edifice,’ has not yet been valued by the commission. However, comparative analysis of similar buildings on several trading sites such as OLX.com and Jiji.ng, within the same area put the worth of the building at N6bn.

It was alleged in documents sighted by our correspondent that Patience allegedly acquired the property through her foundation known as Aribawa Aurera Reach Out Foundation.

Following the discovery, the EFCC said it had written to the Corporate Affairs Commission to get the identities of the directors of the foundation who are believed to be fronts for Patience, while also petitioning the Abuja Geographical Information System to get the history of the property and how and when it was bought.

This comes months after the EFCC froze an account belonging to Aribawa Aurera Reach Out Foundation with account number 1222014221 in Ecobank with a balance of N479m.

The anti-graft agency said there was no way Patience would have been able to afford such a property as her last known job was Permanent Secretary in Bayelsa State.

  6. EFCC well done o but when will you start on members of the APC? Never? Okay. No problem. There's someone else of PDP extraction I'd like to tell you about. Mrs Yar'adua did a fundraising where people were donating in hundreds of millions. I remember Dangote donated 500million. Please have you investigated what happened to those monies? Incompetent nitwits allowing themselves be used as political tool for fighting "enemies".

    1. So what is your point? She shouldn't be brought to book because she stole? Someone who did not deny having 15 million dollars which she claims was for her medical bills. Was she paying that amount to a hospital in Jupiter to make her have everlasting life? You are one of those suffering because of the looting of these thieves but you are burning your data defending her. I pity for us.

  12. Abeg these media trials and exposures are unnecessary..Let them start from the roots of the matter and not all these propaganda...I want to see one of them brought to book or serve a jail term for all financial crimes...This is just to wipe up people's emotions and sentiments..
