African History

This is Ota Benga - an African native who suffered inhumane treatment by being kidnapped in 1904 from Congo, taken to America and exhibited at the Bronx Zoo with monkeys. -He committed suicide in 1916.

    Not surprised he took his life because it's a sick treatment anyone can bear. Lord have mercy on us all.😭

    1. It's obvious some people here, did not do history in class or read some slavery books, or even watch some old slavery documentaries; not the recently whitewashed documentaries being showed on National geographic or other channels.

      There were many of them like this young man shown up there. Even women, twins and children that were used as exhibition display to excite the white people.
      They were treated worse than animals.

      We thank God for His mercy and forgiveness....

    I can't imagine the pains he went through while getting that done probably without any pain relief.
