Months after the Duchess of Sussex was rumoured to be up for an Emmy nomination for her final season in Suits, Meghan Markle has reportedly declined an invitation to attend the star-studded awards ceremony.
Sources told the Sun that Meghan has 'politely turned down' an invitation to the 70th Emmy Awards ceremony in LA next month, adding that the decision was a way of drawing 'a line in the sand' between her acting and royal career.
Another source said: 'We had hoped Meghan would attend as a way of saying goodbye to her Suits fans and colleagues.
'Show executives and NBC had offered Harry and her an invitation to celebrate with the biggest stars around, meet her showbiz friends and even present an honour. But Meghan is not attending.'
The 37-year-old left her role as Rachel Zane in Suits last year and addressed her decision to step away from her acting career during her engagement announcement interview with her now-husband last November.

How life turns around.... that Emmy would have been the biggest thing to ever happen to her but see how God has changed her story that the blessing she has is too big that everything in her former life seems so small and inconsequential.

She’s royalty and has her own title she is also widely famous and now has a bigger voice as opposed to who she was before. PRINCE Harry married a non-Brit, married a 'commoner', married a divorcee, married a black woman, continued dating a woman whose half-brother wrote a public letter to him to warn him not to date or marty her, continued dating a woman whose half-sister spoke out publicly saying nasty things about her character and that she is writing and soon publish a tell-all book about her, he took the unprecedented action of having the palace confirm a girlfriend, not a fiancee, and speak out against and admonish the press for hunting her and her mother and reaching out to and harassing her friends, associates, co-workers for any salacious stories on her, he could have married almost anyone -royalty, pop stars, wealthy, didn't marry his seven year or so on-off white, blonde girlfriend of rich millionaire South African/Zimbabwean parents, as a royal he has a duty to procreate and produce more royals, so he could have gone for someone (much) younger but he didn't, he never faltered or wavered for one second but remained proudly and lovingly standing by her and presented a united and dignified and loved-up front in the midst of the show of shame before the entire world of her only siblings, her half siblings AND her father saying terrible things about her in various press and tv interviews, including her father also revealing the contents of entire private conversations not only between himself and his daughter but with Prince Harry on the phone including Harry"s views on Brexit (he is allegedly for it) which caused a furore also because royals are meant to remain politically neutral, his father, the possible future king of England walked her down the aisle when her own father bailed on her and told the world before telling her, his family have all done and are doing everything possible to stand by her and make her happy in her new life with them and make her feel loved in the midst of and against and despite the show of shame that is her entire family except her mother,and you think she is the only one making sacrifices?

Grace Kelly was much bigger an actress, having starred alongside Bing Crosby and Bob Hope,etc ,but had to sacrifice her acting career when she married Prince Ranier of Monaco, and then became Princess Grace of Monaco.
She tried to make a comeback, but her subjects didn't approve of it, and she couldn't until her death in the 1980's. So sad.I love history.
