    1. Thanks.

It's banned on conventional radio, nobody is asking you not to hear it.

Fela's songs were banned for the same reasons.

Lyrical content that doesn't promote Nigerian values.

And before you say the government should focus on other things, that's what NBC is for; regulating broadcast media.

Let other agencies/parastatals face their angles too.

He's still getting views and money on youtube. So they shld keep banning.

  7. My problem is not in the banning but why haven't they fix the country on the right path? Why haven't they start addressing those issues on that music?

You can restrict it from airwaves but what about the CD's being played by individual? Has it stop people from hearing the truth. Nigerian worries shouldn't be on that music rather on how to improve its dented image before the international communities.

  10. Yes Nigeria is messed up & all imprintable names you can tag to it, but do you know what a song like this speaks to advanced countries?
Do you know the discrimination you'd face outside by mere mentioning ure a Nigerian?
When you apply for VISA and ure denied or put under a microscope for 2yrs before granting u 2weeks stay, you'd cry why oh why!!! We shouldnt air our dirty laundry further, the stench goes to high heavens already.... even in your family there are secrets u wouldnt let out. Who knows what goes on in North Korea????!!! The citizens dont even have access to internet, the last time i checked.

    1. Just like I said above, nothing wrong or bad in that act but why are the things affecting national unity and good image not address? If they feel pained about it then they should work on the criminality affecting the country image.

    3. Thank you.

If its not for social media and the "trump-hatred" that's full blown, you would almost think the USA was a land filled with milk and honey flowing literally on the streets.

Most Nigerians won't read that letter but start making irrelevant statements.

"Everybody Na criminal" is not a right thing to say no matter how you look at it.

  14. A wise Italian said to me "Loose lips sinks ship!.. he was right!
Such generalizarion can even put away potential investors, & we wouldnt even know its a mere 5mins song that put a nail to the coffin, we'd blame Buhari again.

  16. The song "THIS IS NIGERIA", hitherto depicts Nigeria a whole lot.

I understand why the song was banned, it portrays Nigeria in a negative light to the world, therfore investors, tourist might not want to invest in a country like nigeria.

Dubai never reports negative news about their country because they knows that their economy depends on the revenues generated from tourism.

Falz shouldn't have generalized "Everybody be criminal".

  17. Fal'z must not say that all Nigerians are criminals , thesame thing buhari did in london,nd Nigeria youths were all hungry, true be told ,the lyrics are really bad, nd tomorow if falz travle abroad, nd they treat him like a crimimal ,then he will start crying wovles..you have already told them Nigerians are all crimimals..so? I still prefer wizkid...he lyrics might not be 100% good ,but he is far better, compare to some ofthese our artist.
