    1. Sooo true.

That's how my former neighbour told us she was moving to ikorodu only for us to hear later on that someone saw her picture on her husband's fb page welcoming them to Canada;same husband she had been telling us is in Zaria for a course(he's a medical doctor)

    1. Some people have the believe that when they tell people, plans go spoil.

I have one that is relocating to Canada today. He told us on monday

    2. Sure Lafresh. Not just traveling, it might be a job, plans etc once you let it out before it materializes there's a probability it might neva come to pass. That's why it's advisable to get what ever it is in hand before announcing it to anybody. Days are evil..some pples ears too are of d devil let, they don't like to hear good news abt somebody.

  8. The reason?
A lot of NIgerians travel fraudulently; fake documents, one lie or the other at the embassy, or with one mischief or the other in mind: They travel as single while they are married and expecting to hook up and marry "Oyinbo" to get papers. They hate to see who knows them or whom they know. Oyinbos get gun and they too dey settle lies/cheats with just a bullet to the head.

    1. This your reason is far from it. People don't tell their plans for different reasons. For me if I'm planning anything I don't say it till people see it or it's accomplished else it won't work!It has happened time over so I know this

      Delete
    2. I feel the reason is because of the fear of failure. They are afraid of sharing their travelling plans which may never work out at the end of the day. They think its a shame to fail, people dont like sharing their trials and failures for others to learn from. They will rather share success stories only. It is never a shame to try and fail. If you do the statistics most of them have tried previously without yielding positive result. I think most people are wired that way.

  9. These girls chanting, "why is it like that?" When you will travel tomorrow, will you tell anybody? Why not tell us the reason why you will not tell anybody?

  10. I have this friend that travelled to Finland and didn't tell me,we went to buka to eat and was surprised she paid for our food, I called her the next day but her number didn't go through,we were best friends,we attended the same primary, secondary and uni together,I was worried and called her brother he said she had an emergency to go to the village to see her sick granny and no network, I believed.
I kept calling for days to weeks and months ,I told his brother I will like to go to their village to be with her for 3 days since I was on leave, they kept changing stories,.
I thought she died and they were covering up..so many bad thought came to me.
Facebook issues came and I joined,2 months later a friend added me and I was shoked to seenmy dear friend pics,I added her and she accepted, she called me and begged me for forgiveness that her family told her not to tell anyone, she said Finland is a dead zone and it took her 8 months to get herself, no job and so many stories...I forgave her and her family.
She vists Nigeria once in a while and whenever she is going back she still will not tell me,so when she says are you tomorrow I will say safe journey.
She sends me money and bought me a car, I am her driver whenever she comes and she has invited me to Finland thrice.

  11. A girl i knew held a grudge against me since 2014 because i travelled without telling her. I didn't tell a lot of people and they only knew when i arrived the country.

I didn't know this girl was angry with me until when i was talking with our mutual friend and i told her X no longer replies my messages and i don't know why. The mutual friend asked X what's up only for X to tell her how fake and hypocritical and secretive i was, that I'd always been that way. Simply because i didn't let her know, as the queen mother thay she is na, about my future plans. Same person that laughs at people to their faces when they tell her about something they want to achieve.

Our mutual friend sent me the voice note and to say i was surprised and hurt was an understatement. I even cried. Last last, i deleted her from all my social media and cut off all contact with her.

Same girl texted me when i was home and wanted to meet, not knowing that i was aware of how she felt about me but had been pretending for 4 years. 4 good years!

    It is well o!

    1. Oh pls. You hurt your friend and she acted hurt. Instead of apologizing you're turning it on her. The Bible says don't get mad when people gossip about you because you know you have done the same thing before

    2. You should be equally if not mote afraid of your mutual friend.

    3. Truth be told, it can be really painful when you think you have a friend you trust to a good extent pulling that stunt on you. I have a friend who did that of recent. This friend even lied about the reason for I relocation so i act like I don't know.
It's a lesson for me, at least I know there are things about me that I won't ever open my mouth to tell her about too. Life goes on. No hard feelings

    4. Oh please. She was hurt. I have a friend who travelled and didn't tell me. I knew she was travelling because she called me to know where she can buy crayfish and other condiments. When she left i didn't know, everyone knew us as friends, i was embarrassed because people kept asking after her. She got back after 5 months with lots of stories with a perfume and a dress. I told her bluntly how i felt didn't like the items but i didn't want her to feel i had grudges against her. She never apologized. She went back again but i expected it and had kept my distance even before she left. Apologize to your friend and be careful of the snitch mutual friend. You might be surprise she would have also said a lot of hateful things.

  12. Take bobrisky as example! For why when u plan to travel abroad, u must zip your mouth for nigerian people.
Was it ghost or spirits from his / her village that went & reported him to British immigration & customs, informing them that he's coming there to hustle & do other things requiring work permit or non visitors/ holiday visa to the UK.

Black people/ Nigerians mind r full of evil. Even when they r not going anywhere themselves, they must block road for someone & delay things (physically & spiritually) for other people.

The fear of Nigerian people & knowing how to hide urself well from them is the beginning of wisdom!!!
