    Seriously, what do people do at a bridal shower. My friends are trying to convince me to throw one when it's time but I don't just see the need.

      It’s fun, you should have one, there are several games to play, they bring gifts and open them up, they can all say one or two things you need to change about you as you are going into a different phase of your life, a whole lot ... it’s actually fun

      You are not supposed to have one yourself. Friends usually throw for the bride. Except you don't have friends.
      My friends contributed and surprised me. I have also done same for them.

      Just do it. It's fun. I didn't do the usual bridal shower. My friends and I went to Ediye on a Sunday evening, played games(ludo,snooker......),ate and went to home. It was fun.

      For my male bff's wedding his bride and her friends arranged a bridal shower with soft drinks and cake. I boned them and went to the bachelors eve instead. Omoh see groove. All night the bridal showerers were sending me angry messages. Before long lo and behold who did I see at the club but bride and her pals. Very dry these showers.
