The School can sack the lecturer and his son can be expelled but they are not doing that because the man is highly connected and his wife is supposedly related to a top politician.

There is God ooooo, he sees, knows and is aware of everything, even if d lecturer and son ' seems to be above d law' they should remember there is an ultimate judge up there who hates injustice! No one is above his judgement. He gave common sense to all and sundry so we can discern right from wrong.y

ReplyDeleteParents endeavour to have the amount of kids you can train and let them live with you. So many girl child experience sexual and physical abuse living with relatives.
I also grew with relatives, or should I say I spent a lot of holidays. I stayed with my parents during school period, I was well taken care of, good education etc but because I was an only child and lost my father early, so my mother wanted me to atleast grow with other kids so I would come to lagos to spend holidays with her sister who was very wealthy.
I was already even older and working in lagos when the husband of this my aunt attempted raping me twice. He offered me money and all sorts, imagine that. I told my mother and grandmother, who jtold me to always lock my door while sleeping and we started planning my leaving. After a year of saving, I left and got my own place. No point telling his wife, asides not wanting to start a family war, she is the sort who even defended her hubby when he got the maid pregnant,saying she seduced him.
I will speak for myself. I am yet to heal. Am married but every time I see a man close to a female child I get scared, I want to shout at the top of my voice. I want to scream. It's terrible. It's like my past is hunting me. I was molested by an uncle that came to stay with us. Aside that, after being treated, neighbors, elders, people I term uncle have tried to molest me at several times. Worst of all, when I tell my brothers they will hush me and then I was sacred to tell my parents. I manage to escape them because I was conscious. Stella it's sad. I began to stay away from people till I grow up and got my confidence back but it's still in my head. Was I too pretty that will make men want to molest me or take advantage of me or what???? Am praying to get healing. So help me God.

We must fight this ugly trend in our society by speaking out and letting the culprits face the full wrath of the law. Too much slides under the carpet with the flimsy "it's a family matter". That is not enough! Children both male and especially female are vulnerable and should be protected. Please parents open your eyes. Don't be overbearing and over trusting. Let your children stay with you and even when with you teach them to speak up. Hmmm. May her gentle soul rest in peace. I don't even know what to say anymore. It hurts!
