Reality Star Khloe Frustrated Over Visa Denials

Former Big Brother Naija star, Khole is frustrated over visa denials from the U.S, U.K and Canadian embassies ..........

I totally agree with Khloe....These embassies are using our monies to generate revenues and mess up people...some fix interview dates but already have your refusal waiting, all they need you to do is to collect the visa fees.

    4. It's advisable to 1st travel to some other countries 1st before these ones. She should go to Kenya,South Africa any of the African countries 1st then re apply. She is single and young,so they assume she wants to escape from Nigeria.

  2. It is really painful. Nija people will not hear. They know desperate people so they will continue to eat una monies.

Sorry oo. Just relax for now and think of other countries. These 3 countries are hot cakes for Nija people so these embassies are just out to humiliate nija people.

  4. Totally totally agree with her. If u won't give visa, at least don't collect money or refund half. The processing fees are usually so expensive for something you'd probably not even get at the end of the day.

Our govt should totally look into this.

    1. LOL. The money collected is the cost of the assessment after which a visa may be issued if the application is found satisfactory.

    1. The fee keeps alot of people from doing trial & error, so they process less and more serious candidates.
I remember when US didnt give me VISA, after running my mouth to all my friends that na yankee get me now lol... it was so painful, like i missed heaven.

    5. The fees keep going up bcos of inflated exchange rate.

There is nothing to shout about. Embassies won't bend their ways because of you. If your application is good enough, you will be granted visa. If your application is questionable, then sorry o.

Reapply and this time do thorough diligence and come clean when anwsering questions.

      Bye for now.

  7. I totally agree to the refund of application fees. At least most of it.

I'm not sure "freelance" is a good job description tho. Especially when there's no solid structure. These guys need something that will tie you down to your country. Something they are sure will bring you back besides word of mouth.... family, job, school etc .
It's always good to research well before applying for the first time bad be able to defend everything written.
I looooooove my ex boss. Guy seemed to be very familiar with Embassy introduction letter. His letter alone will make them believe there's milk and honey waiting for you at work and you can't wait to rush back 😂😂😂.

Not done Canada before but I heard it's reaky hard.
That said, can we have refunds please? Why collect these monies, deny us then hold the money and expect we keep paying. Not fair

  8. On Monday I went to renew my US visa, have an existing US Visa issued in Uk and was denied. I didn’t even understand their reason, I have travelled out severally so I was shocked. I wasn’t even interviewed like I was in the uk, none of my documents checked. The interview just said uve been denied and gave me a blue slip, I asked him why, he said I should read the blue slip. I stayed in the hall read and came back to him, please sir I work and have an existing visa. The security came and told me to leave. I was so angry for so many reasons. I went out and the army men said since April they’ve refused giving visas 😳 because of the compromise in abuja. You can’t even appeal.

  10. Single, freelance? Nne forget it. Very bad combination. They will say you have no ties and will freelance your way into their country. Sorry but if you have a denial from one country, the other countries are bound to see you as inelligible. These embassies have laws governing them...if you are not elligible then you are not. Visa fee is how they generate revenue same with Nigerian embassies all over the world.they are non refundable unfortunately. I feel your pain, but if you are serious quit ranting on SM and plan yourself well. Ask questions,Stop putting freelance in your application, register a business and pay yourself everymonth..you need to show steady income, buy a property etc As a single lady/man you need to work extra hard to show you have strong ties in your country else no way. Pele i for help you but my hands are super full. All the best

    1. Anon 9:42, you are very sensible. Applications are very straightforward yet ppl like to make it hard. Developed countries work in a structured way and do not have the time to mess about considering how many applications they have to go through.

Showing a regular fixed income over 6 to 12 months no matter how low is BETTER than showing 50M in your account. How can you get refused more than once and keep using the same approach. that's a bit stupid!

    2. Very true anonymous. Khloé should come and read this and understand. When I saw that freelance she wrote, I was even weak.

    3. How will they pay those working there. Is it not man hour they used in going through your application before rejecting.
Or you think they pay them on just those they issued visa.

      Delete
    4. I couldn't have said it any better. Stop using freelance. Travel to other places. Cause no lies, single with no ties, without a good source of income, or stable salary as an employer and preferably staff on your payroll, denial will be a constant. Could be 2 people you pay 60k every month, established business duly registered. Have strong ties.

  11. The truth is they reject a lot of Nigerians youths between the ages of 18-30 because they feel most wont come back, that's about the age most people collect visiting visa and stay on from there.
They are more comfortable if you have proof of social and economic ties in your country, such as dependents(kids), fixed permanent job, schooling. That is why people get letters from their work-place to get proof of employment and letter from your school.
I doubt you will bring a letter from a notable organization and your statements showing salaries and investment tying you here, and evidence you can afford the trip and you have a job you are retuning to and they still reject you. For business ppl they have to see you earn enough, business is doing well, so you aren't going there to work. That freelance Khloe stated might not suffice.
Its painful they don't return the fees back though so I get Khloe's pain. But I think its common practice.

  12. No more integrity in this world anymore, you collect someone’s money and yet you will not give them what you collected their money for.

  13. It's so frustrating. I have been denied thrice by the US embassy and once by the Canadian embassy. The fact is they do not care if you are eligible or not, even if you have travelled to their country 100×, they decide to deny or grant visas if they like. My Nigerian passport expired in the month of may and I did not bother to renew.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yeah< i agree to the refund even if it is 50% but the truth is that you can't use freelancing as a job and expect them to give you visa. They need to see the invoices and receipts from those jobs you have done as a freelancer, bank statements are not enough!
They need you to have economic ties and family ties to the country you are applying from. I remember when I was a student in the UK, I was denied Canadian visa saying I had no economic and family ties to the UK which was right....I was student with no a small part-time job, no property, no investments etc and not married. I applied again a year later when I got a job and was married and I got it one way so sometimes you gotta chill a bit and work on the reasons why you were denied before applying again.
But yes, I agree to the refund cos I was a poor student too when they took my money and that meant a lot to me back then.lol

  15. See broke ass girl forming she's only need travel visa for vacation. Person wey no dey see money to pay her bills for 1 year in Nigeria, then how can she afford even 2 weeks correct holiday in America, Canada or UK with her turning into a nuisance or dangerous hustling abroad?
Traveling for vacation abroad my foot!
Make she go find full time work first & focus on having sustainable career instead there for naija.

  17. Once one of these countries denied you, all others will follow same based on lack of travel history. Just relax and enjoy your money here in Nigeria. Perhaps you may try SA or any of the golf countries.

  21. About reasons for denials..

I applied for a UK visa in 2012, got all my documentations right and still didn’t get the visa. But the greatest shock was the reason behind the visa denial. They stated that I wasn’t traveling with my child and so couldn’t be granted visa. Hmmmm.. I had to go back to the duplicated copies of my application and I just sighed.

I never indicated I had a child neither was I married so where the heck did you guys draw that conclusion from? Since then, I basically have stayed on my lane, traveling to other European countries for now. I still haven’t gotten over that shock but when and if I do get over it, I’ll try again.

    1. You should have reapplied immediately, sighting that you don’t have a child and never stated it in your previous application. Happened to me, they ignored my second salary and said I earn sonso amount without factoring in my second earnings. I re-applied immediately l, explaining in the cover letter that the ECO didn’t consider my second salary etc, and I was granted a visa.

    2. Devious dee, you should appealed the visa refusal immediately stating their mistakes and I can categorically tell you that you would have had 90% chances of being granted the visa.

I applied once to the USA and God favored me, I was given and I also got my 3 years Canadian visa, but I still haven’t use this Canadian Visa, and its going to expire Jan 2020. Hoping to make a trip to Canada soon by God’s grace!
