I remembered my love at the university, the good times at the campus, the plans and future we dreamt of but never really had together..... She was all I have ever wanted but life wasn't fair.

If wishes were to be horses.... I will go back in time for those good moments. Today, I only but live for the moment.

I was on my way to work this morning and while on a bike to the bus stop, my handbag fell from my hand and spilled it's contents. At first I'm like "Ugh!" I didn't close it properly and my little notebook, nail paint, house keys and cutlery fell out. I wasn't bothered o.
And then I remembered. And I exclaimed "OH MY GOD!!" MY paent ooo. It was there on the floor. Luckily for me, one pretty sister was helping me pack my stuff from the ground. See my black g-string in public view.

  7. To yesterday's chronicle poster
Madam, were you expecting your husband to say Yes he molested the house help? Its impossible, his answer will surely be a No. Men will always deny even if you catch them red handed with another lady, they will still tell you "its not what you think".
Let me tell you a story, my close friend went to visit her sister in her husband's house, the husband tried to rape her, she left very early the next morning. She told her sister that she had a bad dream about their mother so she needs to go home to be sure nothing happened. I am sure this is exactly what happened in your case, the house help didn't plan to tell you, she wanted to leave quietly without causing trouble for you but since you insisted on knowing the reason, she opened up and told you the truth which is now a bitter pill for you to swallow, that is why you are presently in denial.
My advice: We can only advice based on our thoughts and personal opinions. Its left for you to do your personal investigation and please don't be biased. Peace!

    9. Ah! This just reminds me of the story my cousin told me a while back. Eeez lyk I haf share it with you lot ba? Ehn let me share it again for the benefit of those that did not read it.

So anyways, guy man after hanging out and drinking with his friends (Christmas in the village) went home and headed straight to the kitchen to get something to eat.
He said he did not turn on the light, maybe so as not to alert anyone that he was dishing soup etc for himself by 2am.
Na so inside darkness guy man begin chop with joy.
He said after a few mouthfuls something just burst in his mouth, gbuaaaa!!
Guy man said he was chewing chewing and the thing was foaming foaming, drawing and tasting very strange, (I don't know how to translate to our local language so you'll understand)

So in fear, he quickly switched on the light and ran to the sink and spat out.
Omo see mangled giant sized cockroach that burst in his mouth, una sabi how big village cockroach be na? Ehen. All that yellow mucus mixed with their skin and hairy legs plus ugwu.
Nawa. I feel for my cousin that day sha. Medat ihate cockroach more than death.
My cousin said even after vomiting several times and brushing over and over,it was weeks before that cockroach odour commot for his mouth.
So all the mama put where cockroach used to fall in their food, do they grind it join as per protein?

I remember when red neck lizard fell into the tomatoes which were being grinded for our stew. The cooks kuku grinded it very well with the tomatoes (Boarding school).
We found out after we had we had eaten.
It would be a tragedy to survive this country and still go to hell sha.
      Ok bye.

  21. If you want to make enemies in Nigeria, throw a party. You'll never please everyone at your owambe, you will offend some people.

I organized a little birthday party for baby Windsor at her creche and at home. It wasn't a big affair. I just took the cake to the daycare, she cut it and took a few pictures with her friends there. Her caregiver took their own share of the cake, I gave the children caprisonne and that was it.
When we got home, I called the children in my neighborhood to come for their own share of the remaining cake. The party was strictly for children and on invitation because I worked on a budget. I cannot come and feeding multitude. A little cake, caprisonne and biscuit for each child.
Unfortunately, I was in for a shocker. If you live or ever lived in the north you'll know that there's nothing like 'strictly on invitation'.
All it took was for an invited boy to whisper it in the ears of an uninvited, and boom, he stormed my house with an entire army.
Kids I haven't seen before in my area lined up at my doorstep, some carrying huge bowls. Lekwam o!
When I first saw them, I quickly shut my door, I thought it was an invasion! Could we be under siege?
It wasn't until the Corp members living next door, laughing hysterically, begged me to come and host my guests.

Well, to cut it short, some of the kids I invited did not show up. Some said they were asked to bring their friends' or sibling's own. But I had a policy: don't take anything on behalf of someone, and I'm also not keeping anything for anyone. I bought extra 10 10 naira biscuit for the late comers and the almajiris. The kids were happy. They ran home rejoicing. Party over.

Brethren, that was how the day after that some children came for their gifts. I'd invited them that day but they didn't show up. I told them to go that everything is finished.

On Wednesday morning, on my way to the institute, one of two women standing by a shop accosted me and said "aunty wetin you do, I no like am. My children come your house, wish your daughter happy birthday, you no give them anything. And you give everybody".
I just greeted them and kept walking. Some things are better left unexplained.

Oh, I forgot. Mama Haruna, my neighbor, told me her friend complained that I didn't give her children an extra one for their baby at home.
I just didn't understand these people. Did they expect me to reserve for them when there were available mouths to feed? As per what kwanu? Or did they think I had a trailer load of biscuits and drinks?

This whole incident reminded me of my landlady during my NYSC days, who started giving me attitude after our school end of the year party. Her children attended the school where I taught and during our school party, I served her as I did other guests. But she expected me to give her extras to stuff in the ghana-must-go-like handbag she was carrying. I kept a straight face and told her NO! I no dey pay house rent? Haba there were other guests who had not even gotten anything at all, and she's asking for more to send to her kinsmen. Trust me, she hardly replied my greetings after that till I left. Who sigh?

Some people don't have problem o. Wars in the Middle East, wildfires in California, yahoo boys taking panties at gunpoint etc. And someone's wahala is party crumbs.

Good morning beautiful Stella and wonderful BVs. Happy weekend y'all.

  40. The strong man in our lives. They live in us, they monitor us, they follow us. Many will be wondering who the strong man is. We are in the season of Thanksgiving. Lots of churches will be doing their annual Thanksgiving but the strong man will tell you what have you achieved that you are going to thank God for.

Who is this strong man, Satan himself. Discouragement, lying, negative thoughts, bitterness, anger etc.

Don't allow any strong man to overpower you. This is your time of breakthrough but this strong man will tell you go and sit down. You are nothing. Do you have money, do you have good clothes.

You have some clothes you want to give, the strong man will tell you, don't do it. They will use it against you but a voice is telling you give.

Let's try and fight that strong man.
Jesus fought and won, so we too can win this strong man by telling him get behind me.

Good morning once again. Like I said this is the season of Thanksgiving. Be grateful and thankful to God whether good or bad. You are a winner.

Many are dead, many cannot stand up from their beds. Many are helpless but see where we are. Running to our businesses, jobs etc but because we have not gotten what we asked for, we found ourselves with discouragement.

    God help us all Amen.
    Love you all .

    5. Dream about snakes means someone or people close to u r betrayers & backstabbers. This is within ur inner circle like family members. Be very careful!!!
All through my childhood till like in my late 20s I always dreamt of snakes attacking me or chocking. Till I had revealation about close relatives & now in my 40s I cut off with all family members. I no longer dream such things again or ever seen snakes in my dreams. I swear!!!
Dreams r powerful warnings or spiritual subconscious warnings & pray strongly for God to give u signs & let hidden things against u to be revealed.
      It is well!

    6. it has stopped but just keep praying. Now begin prayer of thanksgiving for your kids...take a step of faith and begin to buy stuff for your baby(s). God is faithful. I was TTC for 9 years. bought a twin buggy in the 4 year as a step of faith and yes i had twin girls in the 9th year..

    7. Anon 10:26. Same tot with me. I had snake dreams repeatedly, some years ago. even in the afternoon, I will still have same dream like it was in the night. In my case it was like my family and I were nurturing it until it got violet and wanted to bite. After much prayers, I understood it. A close cousin living with us was envious and was planning on duping us. So poster I think you have people around you who are betrayers, or planning evil. Be observate, don't share success story and pray. You will see them in the light of day.

  46. I just read on yesterday's spontaneous post that taking Tetanus Toxoid Immunization early in pregnancy can result in missed abortion/miscarriage.

    That is a MISCONCEPTION!!!

World Health Organization recommendation is that pregnant women (who are not immune yet) take the first shot of Tetanus vaccine at first contact (with health care provider(s)) or AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE IN PREGNANCY.

    1. Na real W.H.O. Follow them at your own peril. Today, they'll say one thing, tomorrow they'll review it and say something else.
It's best to be on the safe side. Don't take the vaccine too early.
A lot of US born children are becoming autistic and some argue that it might be some of the vaccines administered to the infants, yet the FDC disputes this belief. After some time now, they'll come and tell us that true true, those vaccines can cause autism.
