Former President Obasanjo Declares Himself An Urhobo Man

Former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo has declared himself “an Urhobo man.”

Obasanjo said he is “an adopted son of Oginibu,” an Urhobo Town in Ughelli South, Delta State.

He said this while speaking at the 40th remembrance anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Robinson Ajeriyeghe Gbagi.

The former Head of State said Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi is a pillar of peace and development in Delta State.

He recounted how the former Minister of Education, Kenneth Gbagi single-handedly worked with him while he was the president of Nigeria to end the bloody inter-ethnic wars in Warri, Delta State.

Obasanjo narrated his several encounters and relationship with Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi and added that “it was difficult to find such a person who is people and development-oriented and who is committed to national and community development.”

The former President said that he was amazed at the charity work Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi has carried out in Oginibu and Ughievwen Kingdom.

My love for Obj is an unending one. I see a man whose motives are pure. But also a man who makes mistakes here and there. Simple, he is a man and capable of errors. But again his moves are based on his experience. But what do i know? He is also ageing. So there will be lapses here and there.

  5. Lol Gbagi is a direct opposite of all obj has said. The man is wicked. During his tenure as minister of education he stated that education is only for the rich. Not to mention the incident when his son locked up and raped a pregnant married woman in their hotel in warri. It was all over the news then. Gbagi sees himself as a god to be feared. He treats less privileged people who come to him for help with such disdain like they are lower animals. He is very foul-mouthed and fetish. He doesn't sleep at night. He sneaks out of bed at night for evil activities. I'm an insider. Runs girls beware Gbagi is one of those that will finish your destiny through unprotected sex for as little as 30k. Sleep with all the dogs in Nigeria but avoid Gbagi. He s got a black heart. A demon in human form

  12. But he's not a Yoruba man. History has it that he was already born before the mother married the Yoruba man, who adopted him. Not sure but, I thought he's igbo but, if he says urhobo, then what he's saying is not far from the truth.
