Court Clears Ex-governor Of Fraud Charges, Orders EFCC To Pay Him N224m In 3 Days

A Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo Taraba State, on Wednesday, discharged and acquitted Sani Abubakar Danladi, former governor and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State, of alleged fraud.

Also acquitted are Joel Ikenya, a former Minister of Labour and Productivity, and Mark Bako Useni, former Speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly.

The court also gave the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) a 72-hour ultimatum to refund the sum of N228million to the defendants. The EFCC had filed the case against the trio on alleged fraud involving N450million.

Justice Stephen Pam ruled that the case by the EFCC lacked merit and ordered the anti-graft agency to refund N228million, which was earlier remitted to the commission by the defendants.

    1. How come you are not attacking them for taking an APC person to court? EFCC won’t win cases when people like you are supporters of Onnoghen’s criminality and also give support to people like Onnoghen who fixes criminal judges to oversee corruption cases. If not, how did he get the millions of foreign currencies in his numerous bank accounts left unmentioned and houses it they are not proceeds of bribe from criminals like himself.

    2. When did “supporters” determine which case is won or not? Is the law based on supporters?

    8. When you fail to do a thorough investigation and present a proper detailed case file, this is always the end result.

Now I am begininh to feel it's deliberate on the path of EFCC to water down investigation so that some guys can walk free.

      My thoughts
