  2. I read the old versus the young post yesterday and was astonished by some comments I read from some persons. Let me start by correcting the impression that young guys dating older women do that for money purposes. While this may be true to some persons, it shouldn't be generalized.

Some of this older women don't even have money as people may think. There are people with genuine love towards older women with so lot of reasons. I once dated an older woman. I did most of the spending and all that, though she too contributed. So you see it's not all about money. I so much love her sense of reasoning, she is mature and handle things nicely. Slaying on the gram wasn't her thing, neither is it clubbing, drinking or hanging out late night. Very neat and decently dressed. Hold good conversation, so objective and goal oriented . The peace and serenity can't be described, not to talk of her humility.

Financially, I wasn't capable for marriage then. So I have to let her go.

The truth is that, most of this older and mature ladies have seen it all in life and dating, they have got so lot of experience and understanding about things. If I found love with an older woman now, yes I will go on and marry her.

    1. I agree with you. A friend of mine loves older ladies and I still don’t get it. He has never shown interest in any lady younger than he is. It is equally not financially motivated.

    10. I'm so glad that I didn't skip your comment. I was even shocked to see so-called Learned and enlightened BVs insisting that it has to be for money or just rotten sexual fantasies younger men must be after. Make una grow biebie o. Older Women would get your Guys if you're not careful. Some would marry at 19 years of age, by the time they're 26/27, you would think they're 40+. They would even want People calling them "Mummy" up and down, look old and dress shabbily like they've got terminal diseases.
Anyways, long and short of the story is that attraction to much older People is same in both sexes. It doesn't matter what anyone says as long as they love themselves, compromise on certain things and are happy together. Everyone would live in peace.

      Mee!

  4. Please help me, I'm looking for my period. I had unprotected sex on 13th of January but took emergency contraceptive on 14th January. I was supposed to see my period on January 19th according to my period calendar. Now my period is 11 days late.

My discharge since last week has been a white non smell discharge. I also had a mild nipple pain which might be due to ovulation. Hope I'm not pregnant. Can a pregnancy strip detect early pregnancy? If yes, I will buy one today. If not, when can I do the test.

    14. If you were to see your period on the 19th and you had unprotected sex on the 13th, the probability of being pregnant is slim, that's if your menstrual cycle is stable. Rest your mind and do the PT to rule out any fear.

  7. Hey people, una good morning oh.

So I got home last night, scrolling through SDK page and saw the younger vs older.

    Now my own experience;
I have been with older and younger but my best has been with with this younger guy. I met him in May last year and we were just friends, I asked him his age, he told me 27. Me I just turned 30 then so I knew it won't pass the friendship stage. This guy earns more than me but I also earn well and work somewhere else.
When he started asking me out, I blatantly told him it can't work because of the age thing. He started off with age is nothing but a number thing. I just told him to let us just be FWB.
Ladies and gentleman, just FWB o but this guy does everything that no boyfriend of mine has ever done. He pays me monthly allowance, gives me a separate money to make my hair every month. He bought me a new phone when he was promoted.
He worships the ground I walk on, takes me everywhere, introduces me to everyone important to him as the love of his life.
This is to tell those that were shouting, it's for money, that it is not true. I look younger than my age so he never knew I was older until I told him. I recently broke off with him because I want to get married but he has been sending the gifts he normally sends to my office saying that I'm going to marry him. He said I should give him till April to sort himself out. He said he is even ready to stop sleeping with me to show me it's no longer about sex but love. See the story too plenty, I don't need advice, I just want to let you all know that love is weird sometimes.

    Anony on this one

  21. MAKE UP TRENDS THAT SHOULD NOT CROSS INTO 2019
Hi BVs, Hw yhu doing? (in Wendy’s voice). Happy new year! Thank God for a new year.
So today, we would be talking about those make up trends that we are ditching in 2018.
    1. Thick, dark eyebrows.: Sister, please let those fat, 1 inch brows die in 2018. You know those heavy looking Nike shaped brows you still highlight with yellow concealer? Plis dear, plis, stop it. They look ridiculous and horrible. Tip: Do not exceed your natural brow perimeters when doing your brows, fill in lightly with a medium dark pencil (think milo shade, not coffee shade)
2.Unblended/ streaky makeup: Deep Sigh. This trend should have died in 2013 but unfortunately we still had people walking around with uneven, runny, streaked foundation in 2018. Hopefully, we shall see these no more in 2019. Do you blend foundation with your fingers? Do you use a dirty brush or dry dirty beauty blender to apply foundation? Do you apply foundation without priming your face? Do you apply foundation and powder with one brush/foam? (don’t gasp, some people do) do you forget your neck, hairline and ears when applying foundation/powder? I AM JUDGING YOU! YES, YOU. s. Tip:. Dirty brushes result in bad make up application. When in doubt of the right brush to use for a product, buy a whole brush set (about 11-14 brushes in a set) The functions are usually inscribed on the body of each brush. Also, you can apply foundation with a brush first and then dab your face gently with a damp beauty blender for a more natural and blended finish.
3.Multiple bright colors and glitters on the eyelids: See ehn, forget IG hype. You can’t wear neon green , pink and orange eyeshadow one eye and expect to be taken seriously. No sis, except if you are having an editorial shoot but if you are walking on these streets with 3 layers of colours on your eyes on a hot Tuesday afternoon? Sis, I am walking up to you and cancelling you on the spot. Make up should be a realistic enhancement of existing features, not a jumble of the colour spectrum on the face. I am sorry, neon eyeshadow would never be a thing. It looks clownish. Glitters are so 2016 but should be left for only brides in 2019. Tip: Except if you are great at make up and really know how to do a cut crease, do not let coloured eyeshadow exceed your lids and keep it at one colour please, you can always blend out your eye corners with black or brown eyeshadows to make the coloured lids more natural . Always keep your crease area neutral with matte flesh tones and dark browns
4.Wrong Foundation Shades : “ Grabs Mic” Foundation no be cream, e no dey do miracle, him work na to cover pimple and craw craw for face. Plis dear, you can’t apply colour 1 foundation while your neck and appendages are colour 3, we can still see your arms and legs. No dear, don’t wait for that wrong shade to finish. Throw it away today. It looks horrible dear. Fanta face and coke body should die in 2018 please. Tip : Match your foundation to your chest, not your hands. It gives a better result. If you have a foundation that is too light for you, buy a foundation 1 or 2 shades darker and keep mixing until you get your right shade.
    5. Synthetic Lashes: Yes I know, I am an advocate of affordable products but when it comes to lashes, girrrllll, spend those coins on good lashes. You know those very long, strong scanty lashes sold for 200 naira? Those ones that touch your eyebrows when you look up? Those one that look like cassava leaves? Those ones that look like spider legs on the eyes? Biko, run farrrr away from them. They look very tacky and unnatural. Mink/ faux mink lashes are quite affordable these days. Tip : Good eyelash extensions are fluffy, light weight and soft. They have this natural flare/curl to them that gives a more sophisticated and high end look. The truth is if you wear quality lashes and a very good weave, you will look great even without makeup.

I saw a post about helping people on Facebook last year. I jejely commented and moved on.

Moments later, I got a message request from a very handsome uncle. Normally, i don't even respond to messages in my inbox but something pushed me to read it.

He asked what I need money for, I typed "Business ooo". That thing still pushed me to continue. Shebi I dey pray for expansion and intervention.

With heavy fingers, I typed 2M, so that if the uncle laugh I will say na joke. Mesef con de fear, make uncle no block me o.

But na smile emoji pop up and he asked the nature of the business, after giving him a detailed explanation, guess his response
    "2,000,000 isn't enough, I will make it 2.5M"

Na here and then I know say huncle wan take style style run, next he said "your account details".

I could not believe that question o, but since there is no harm in trying, I say make I try . I replied with my details,He didn't say anything again o.

After 4minutes, I got a CR alert from my bank.. N2,500,000 Credited to my account.😭😭😭

My people, I was so shocked and immediately, took a step of faith with my ATM card, to a nearby ATM machine to confirm if truly this wasn't a scam.

I went, slot in my card, checked my balance, immediately, tears of joy ran down my chin, I could not believe my eyes.

I was about taking out my card but the machine withheld it, I kept pulling my card the way I'm pulling your legs now!!!

  46. Good morning everyone.
    please is stuttering hereditary?
my fiancΓ© strutters really bad when he is trying to make a point or upset.
I really love him, but I don't want my kids having it,especially my female kids..

can one marry a man who is not academical sound, but he is very successful at what he does?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Is strutting hereditary?
Academically sound? What do you mean?
If academics is d determinant factor of success, then he wouldn't have been successful in what he is doing.
And why would one have to finish BSC, MSC with first-class and even planning on PHD & still struggling to feed, while roaming streets and companies looking for who to buy their goods? Dragging space with the uneducated.
Sister, make up your mind what you really want and what you can leave with.
While at that, make sure they are not frivolities.

      Delete
    2. Well, I don't think stuttering is completely hereditary but academic brilliancy is. A child speech becomes better as he or she grows. Some people improve while some do not. Some even stutters when writing by repeating words while some stammers only when they are angry, tensed or afraid.

Peradventure you give birth to a child who stutters, work on his/her self esteem, confidence and boldness. Don't shut him/her up when speaking, give him/her time to express his/her mind. Don't ever tell such a child he or she takes after the dad nor start making weird faces when they are speaking. Teach them how to be expressive without any intimidation. Let the training start from home.

I have seen many people who stutters on a podium giving a speech offhand without the audience booing them. A friend was always her group leader when we were in Uni and her stuttering is grade A. She can face the crowd and challenge any lecturer. She was a member of JCI and campus journalist. I also have baby twin sisters that stutter and they represent their school for inter-school debates. These girls are not timid at all and I do applaud their parents for a job well done.

On the other hand, I know few stutterers that are extremely reserved, withdrawn with few words. You will even think they are dumb. I don't want to make hasty conclusions about their guardians parenting styles but I prefer the extrovert children who stammers to the calm ones.

I will choose a stuttering fiancΓ© that respect me over a radio that do not send me.
