  1. It may take some of us a little longer because we finance our own dreams. Just believe in yourself, with determination, perseverance, prayer and hard work, we will all get there.

  15. Yesterday was the presidential debate by NEDG. People was expecting the President to be there but there were enough indications that he wasn’t going to be there. He and his campaign team excused themselves because they went for their rallies in Niger and Plateau. The second biggest contestant for the highest position in the country is Atiku. All his supporters shouting Atikulate and how he will atikulate at the Debate. He came, greeted other candidates vying for the position as him and later left the venue. Why? Because the president didn’t come for the debate. He went ahead to shamelessly justify why he didn’t participate. The main reason for his withdrawal was because the president wasn’t there for him (Atiku) to question, attack and challenge his government. He apologized to other candidates who participated for his withdrawal. Whoever advised him to withdraw or do a PR by showing himself at the venue of the debate and turning away did him a big disservice. Was the debate an avenue for him to attack and challenge the President or for him, through questions and grilling, to tell Nigerians why he is the better candidate and why he should be voted in as the next president? He did not only insult Nigerians with his tweets, but also disregarded the other candidates who, in his opinion, sees them as unworthy to be on the same platform with him and insult to Nigerian democracy. To you Atiku supporters, that is the exact meaning of what your candidate did last night. At least, Buhari was with other Nigerians in Niger and Plateau campaigning for himself and party. Atiku did nothing yesterday except his tourist return from the US and insult to the Nigerian people.

  19. Yesterday's BEP got me thinking about something that happened recently.

At the end of last year, I was burdened over business I needed to execute but had no money for. It was a very trying time.

So I reached out to one 'pastor' touted by a lady who fancies herself a Facebook celebrity. Having read so many great things about the 'pastor' on her page I said, (quite unlike my usual self) let me reach out to this 'pastor', maybe 'pastor's' prayer hot line to God will be far clearer than mine. Loll.
I sent a simple message, ''Pastor', please pray for me'.
After all, if someone who is 'anointed' says 'Remember this person O God, give her divine wisdom to sort out the challenges she may face etc etc. That one is enough na. Abi?
Next day, I saw a response:
'I decree upon you and your husband yaga yuga yogo etc etc'
Me and my husband' ke??? Me that I'm not even dating???
    LMAO.
    I quickly typed back:
    'I'm not married.'

    Sharp sharp another message entered:
'I decree... ...Every power fighting you... (y'all know the usual drill so let me not waste your time with fatuous words) From now till 6 months time....'

6 MONTHS TIME KE??? Na dat one my eye see?? What if the thing that is doing me has given me only 7 days?
And remember the supposed 'pastor' has not even asked:
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM???? WHAT DO YOU NEED PRAYERS FOR????
Just churning generic- pre -prepared one -size- fits- all -'bet9ja'-predictions-like -confetti -in- the- wind.

Now, I was struggling with laughter and quickly typed:
'6 months is a long time. Please ask God to do something this month as I've been praying on this issue for 2 years.'
This time there was no sharp sharp response, I think 'pastor' was becoming tired of me. Eventually I saw a message:
'The Word of God said at his favourable time I will answer you. Be patient, your time will come.'

    I didn't bother to respond.

    LMFAOOOOOO.
    #Smh

I stopped attending church in 2007/2008 because I believed and still strongly believe that 99 percent of Nigerian 'pastors' are hungry, thieving, spiritually vacuous, hypocritical charlatans who know NOTHING about God.

    NOTHING.

    PRAY for your self.
    READ the Bible for yourself.
APPLY the Word for yourself in your life and daily relations with others.

We would not be asking why Nigeria is the number 1 poverty capital, number 1 corruption capital, number 1 cesspit capital, if we actually applied 1/10th of positive spiritual principles and not just marking attendance and not just shaking bumbum in church and forming pious and holy.

As for me, I'm in a much better place now. Thankfully I didn't have to wait '6 months'. :)

I rely on God only and no one else to talk to/speak up for me.

    3. Honestly I don tire for church matter. Last Sunday, this guy kept hammering on giving, offering, tithe, first fruit, sowing and all those rubbish. We no longer get to hear about eternal life and the consequences of living in sin like we did while growing up. It's saddening and disturbing really. Even in children's church, they're being 'threatened' to bring more offering.
Gone are the days when people share their problems with a man of God without being exhorted or duped. So many con artists posing as pastors.
I agree with you anon, 99.5% of them are lying, thieving, hungry, greedy and selfish lots whose god is their stomach. Tueh!

  26. Good morning my neighbors. Rant coming through!

I don’t know why fathers would not let mothers be respected by their daughters. My princess called my bluff concerning tidying up after playing and I seized her toys. Throughout yesterday she was unapologetic and moody. Instead she was giving her dad puppy dog eyes. My king was pleading that I give her back the toys but I refused. I went for a party and when I returned she had gotten her toys back.

I NEVER argue in front of the kids especially so I waited till I could talk privately. This mischievous man avoided me and was forming sleepy. I’ve told him my mind and his excuse was that she was remorseful and a five year old is too young to properly grasp the concept of chores. The help does most of the cleaning but things like put your your clothes in the laundry basket, take your dishes to the sink, put your toys away etc I’ve been teaching her.

When they were all asleep I went back to her room and seized the toys which were again lying about. I’ve locked them in my boot. This morning I told her that the cleaning fairy said she don march line and her cup don full. If WW3 wants to break out let it happen.

I’ve blocked my ears and eyes to the wailing and dirty looks. One would think they were taking them to Auschwitz. No church today because this my enabling king has organized a search party.

Maybe I’m overreacting but I can see he is pampering her like crazy and she tends to say dad is nicer than mum. My princess is my darling and we always have evening chats, hangout and are friends. But when it comes to discipline this man wants to spoil show for me.

Infact, hubby doesn't correct him for any wrong instead he will call me to come and reprimand him I usually do that until I realized it and told him so you want this boy to see me as the wicked one about? No way! We will do the training together.

    7. My case is the opposite. I discipline my kids more but they play with me more. Well, I wasn't friends with my dad and it really hurts me whenever I remember because he's no more.

Before I had kids, I said I was going to discipline them when they misbehave but always play with them like we're age mates. It has worked for me. My wife that does all the pampering, doesn't have the closeness I have with my boys.
