  2. What?
    Ideas rule the world.
If you are single and sulking, calculating your age, learn from this.
Rome sure was not built in a day, but the first block was placed in a day.
This year I will make more meaning out of my life.
    God lead me. Amen.

    3. I always say this to women, whether married or single. Never let marriage or singledom dictate your life. Go out there and achieve something for yourself. Even if it's snacks and soft-drinks you are selling from your home. Start from somewhere.
The world we live in today, you can't depend on no one 100%.

    4. @12:30, it's anything but a lie. Netflix buys movies on a range of $3- $100 million dollars. There is no show/movie on Netflix that cost them less than a million. (I'm talking about Netflix originals, not just putting your movie on Netflix). Netflix, Amazon, Facebook, Google are billion $ companies. I know it sounds alarming cos Nig is messed up but some economies are that progressive. Gene was probably paid that much, I mean it's Hollywood naa, where some actors earn $20million not to talk of an entire movie. Infact she got a bad deal. I schooled in the abroad, and watched my classmates pitch their start ups with millions of $$. Forget oh, world poverty affected only black pipu.

    5. I hate it when people say because they schooled abroad everyone else is stupid. I live in the States and I am in the industry. They couldn’t have paid her that much. This is not Genny’s first Netflix movie. They don’t just dash out money like that. There are well over 10 nollywood movies on Netflix- at least for the past 5 years we have been watching them on Netflix, some way better produced with fantastic dialogue on Netflix and they didn’t pay that much. So don’t let this girl mumu you. Even the wedding party 1 which has been on Netflix for he past 3 years couldn’t have gotten that much. Then whatever amount is then shared between agents, lawyers both here and the usa and other people involved that help negotiate the terms. It is not as simple as they make it. Genny is rich no doubt-she is well funded and backed by a wealthy man, we’ve all known this and we know who he is...so don’t make it seem that it is something mysterious. Btw, the movie was glorified nollywood. Not all that glitters is gold.

    7. @anon6:52, so you are in the industry and still don't know that there is a difference between a Netflix original and having your movie up on Netflix. I even took the pain to clarify in my comment that I was referring to Netflix Originals cos I know how Nigerians argue without facts and without research. Lionheart is Nigeria's first Netflix Original. Genevieve Nnaji produced Nollywood's first and only Netflix Original. Read that again. Let it sink in.

    3. Not hype, it's very very true. When I heard Netflix bought her movie, I was expecting 5million $ sef. Oh God bless me so much people will be doubting and calculating. Trust Gene to not even say a word. Bosses move in silence.
