Senator Dino Melaye, the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, has finally surrendered to the Police after eight-day siege on his Abuja residence.

An Abuja high court had on Thursday, refused an ex-parte application brought by Melaye to order the removal of police blockage on his residence.

The embattled Senator and his colleagues, who came to his residence to show solitary, headed out to the police headquarters as at the time of filing this report.

According to a Twitter user,— Deji Adeyanju (Ndi Kato) (@YarKafanchan),

"A convoy of the Nigerian Police Force and over 70 police officers have taken Senator Dino Melaye from his house in Maitama to the Police Headquarters".

  2. It's a wa. So the Nig.Police have nothing better to do than to send 70 of their staff to arrest a lawmaker? Did he kill someone? Why the huge amount of officers? But if those officers that havr been camping outside Dinos house had heard that Boko Haram or Fulani Herdsmen are coming in that direction they would ave run faster than the speed of light.

    1. They even need more than that when it comes to Dino, he is a dramatic person and may spring surprises by bringing in hoodlums.
