The incident happened between Tokpande and Umenger village. It was gathered that the heavily armed herdsmen macheted over 10 persons.
At the moment, it could not ascertain if there were casualties but several persons have been declared missing, including on Mr. Peter Achiaga.
Confirming the incident, the Special Assistant to Governor Samuel Ortom on Media and ICT, James Gbudu said the whereabouts of Mr. Achiaga and others still remain unknown.

When he was in Apc, they were killing people left, right, and centre. So, don't say because he defected to PDP that's why the state is being attacked. And even at that, the governor can never be voted back because, he is a failure. See Benue State governor, Kaduna State governor and Kogi State governor when the time for their own elections come, God will never allow them to be voted back except they rig their way in.
