Peter Obi Rejects Anambra State Results And Reveals What INEC Did To South East

The vice presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mr. Peter Obi, has claimed that there was a clear orchestrated plan to disfranchise people of the south-east region of the country in the Saturday’s presidential and national assembly elections.

Obi, who spoke to journalists in his home in Onitsha, Anambra State, said it was still a worry to him that states like Anambra with 2.4m registered voters could only boast of more than 600,000 votes, despite the huge turn out on election day, while states in ‘war-torn’ north with 1.2 million voters could achieve as much as one million votes.

He said a situation where the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) adopted different measures for the conduct of election for different parts of the country is not acceptable.

Obi was referring to the alleged use of manual accreditation in most northern states during the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

He observed that card readers were used in conducting elections, especially in PDP strongholds even when they (card readers) did not work, while accreditation was done manually in its opponent’s areas and the results were accepted.

“I noticed on the day of the election that several card readers were not working. I also noticed that during the voting the process was clumsy because card readers were not functioning and where they worked they were slow.

“They did not work in highly concentrated areas. This is why in Anambra of the over 2.4 million registered voters only 600,000 voted.

“Yet in some parts of this country people voted without card readers, yet all votes counted.”

Obi also said that votes were inflated in some states where the All Progressives Congress won and wondered how many states in the North with low population density returned votes more than what they registered.

He lamented that ordinarily Nigeria should be building on the success achieved 2015 general elections but this has not been the case, as last Saturday’s election was nothing short of a sham.

Obi said what was witnessed in the 2019 general election is not different from the demand of many Nigerians for a level playing ground.

Obi again reiterated the level of intimidation witnessed by members of his party during the run-up to the election, adding that the burning of the card readers in Anambra INEC was part of it.

*I am still surprised at the fact that it stared us in the face and so many are still saying the election was free and fair.

  1. I heard Yobe result didn't tally. The rejected votes and votes cast was above the accreditated voters. Elections hasn't been free and fair in Nigeria, even when PDP was in power. So this isn't an exemption. Everyone should just move on over this, nothing the tribunal can do over this whole fraud. Now you should know why the ex CJN was hurriedly removed in an election month, for the new CJN has a duty to perform.

    3. The Kano State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the results of the presidential and National Assembly elections released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The party agent at the collation centre, Rabiu Sulaiman Bichi, who is also the chairman of the party in the state, expressed disappointment about the way figures were inflated in the results.
He said: “We cannot accept such inflated figures. That is our stand. So, we will go back and analyse the issue to know the next line of action to take.
“As you can see, the presiding officers complained of lack of or use of card readers during the voting in the presidential and National Assembly elections in the state, coupled with over-voting.”

The states he said some places will do re-election did he do that, instead he went ahead to announce results

  4. I said it here that @Atiku should watch out for North East and North West. Borno result is a clear indication that APC was declared winner of the election before 23rd of February,2019. With all the bomb blast and the likes, Yakubu in his clear eyes accepted such results. How can INEC accept Lagos result after the video of ballot box burning went viral? Reno said EVEN SATAN CANNOT RIG LIKE THIS. APC needed that one week to perfect their plans, that was why Yakubu postponed election by 3am on election day. Abeg let me peep from my neighbor's window to see if they are watching cartoon , who Nigeria help? @Libya Returnee please can I have your contact? I want to travel to Libya asap. I have lost hope in Nigeria. @Blessed Princess

  10. As long as the card reader is on use for the elections in Nigeria, the North will always win. They just ignore the reader and thumbprint as many ballots as they need. Meanwhile, the southerners queue up and waste time waiting to be accredited by the reader, hence, the low number of ballots.

    1. So true this share wickedness from the government, buhari sat down and gave orders to his cabal in the north to rig election for him, so so sad is this democracy, heavy jokers Nigerians, atiku should reject this election. But they the northerners know our temperament that we can't fight for our rights we are so weak, and they will continue to take this advantage, the rigging was just tooo much, the never in the history of Nigeria, see buhari is so desperate for power as see him like that, the nepotist, he has similar treats like hitler, slow but deadly, we are not fools one Nigeria my ass

  11. PDP/APC they are both the same. Had PDP been in power, they will also rig the election. The only way election can be free and fair is to vote with our national identity card online anywhere you are in the country (the government knows this but they won't adopt it simply because of electoral malpractice).

PDP rigged in as much as 22-25m votes for themselves alone during election.. At least APC's rigging has been consistent with being at 15million

Nigeria is in trouble... this election further proved how wicked Nigerians are.. like seriously, who were the individuals that voted for buhari? The next four years... i pity us. Those northerners, nobody should ask me to pray for them when it eventually starts raining bullets there! All mallam with him kaya oo! As for those who sold their conscience to the devil over 1k? When you all were wasting energy insulting the Northerners instead of wooing voters, did you expect them to ignore that and vote someone that will be beneficial your region? Keep calling them deregatory names and watch them govern you till eternity.

    1. That is the problem of the igbos - you insult the yorubas and hausa-fulanis, and expect to be supported? You will never rule the entity called Nigeria if you continue to exhibit such hatred for other tribes.

    2. God bless you Kikki. They preach hate instead of love. They call northerners and westerners derogatory names and expect that they will vote your candidate. It doesn't work that way. If the easterners continue their arrogance then the west and north will never be allies with them. And guess who will continue to wail? Drop the arrogance. Stop the derogatory remarks. Preach love not hate. Preach unity not disunity. You definitely cannot do this alone. Be wise.

    3. After the civil war the Hausa's and some misguided Yoruba's thought it was finished for the Igbos , but guess what , you can't them !!!! 19. MOVE ON. Get your illegal or is it legal team together and follow due process. PDP won in Ondo, Edo and Oyo, no one is screaming rigging. Protest against what obviously caused your loss which is the hard handed blockage of planned ballot box snatching and political thuggery. Your legal team may be able to find an illegal angle using that.
