Seven Children Of Same Parents Die In House Fire....

The loss of one child is devastating. The loss of seven? Unimaginable.

But that's the grim reality the Barho family faces after all seven of the family's children died in a house fire in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The family from Syria sought refuge in Canada in 2017 to escape the civil war that's decimated their home country.

The fire struck early Tuesday morning, Halifax Regional Police said in a statement. A neighbor said she heard a loud noise at the time the blaze started.
"I heard a huge bang ... followed by a woman screaming, so I jumped up out of bed and looked out the back window, and all I could see was flames shooting out from the back door going out onto their deck," Danielle Burt told CNN partner CBC. "It happened all so fast. The house went up really quickly."

The father, Ebraheim Barho, was badly injured trying to rescue his children and is hospitalized in critical condition, according to the HEART Society, the East Hants, Nova Scotia-based refugee team that sponsored the family.

The mother, Kawthar Barho, escaped uninjured but is devastated over the loss of her children."She's finding it difficult to accept what has happened, and she just repeats the name of her children over and over again and asks to see them," HEART Society member Natalie Horne told CBC.

The children were identified in a post on the Facebook page of the mosque where their funeral will be held:

Abdullah, he was only 4 months old.
Rana, she was 3 years old.
Hala, she was 4 years old.
Ghala, she was 8 years old.
Mohammed, he was 10 years old.
Rola, she was 12 years old.
Ahmed, he was 15 years old.

  17. This brought tears to my eyes. Very sad!! I wish the kids survived too but none did. Not even one. Sometimes, it’s very hard to comprehend how things happen. She had seven kids. Seven!! But none today. I pray God Blesses them with more kids again. This is very hard to grasp. Too hard. May God comfort the parents and rest the souls of the kids.

  26. Many immigrants are very ignorant. many can't use simple household appliances properly!
I remember when I first arrived in Canada 15 years ago, 1 Haiti house owner (Caribbean lady now married to an Igbo - Naija man in Toronto, called Marie, whom I rented basement room from, was leaving gas cooker burner on in the winter, thinking that it is same as electric cooker burner that you can leave on and use warm up house in winter. I noticed it like several nights that she was always leaving the cooker on and without any fire in it, and gas was escaping and smelling all over the house. I shouted at her!!! and told her to stop doing that as it is carbon monoxide poisoning or even fire hazards, that is very...very deadly!!!!
Whether she was doing it to instigate fire accident (insurance claim) on her house. I don't know???? You know immigrants, Africans and people in Canada and US and Insurance fraud is like 5 & 6. They will always look to find 1 accident or the other to go and claim big money insurance payouts. The people are evil!!!! They can stage even deadly accidents to occur so that they will make big money out of it.

I ran from my life from Marie's house in Toronto quickly, and when she also started tampering and stealing my cooking utensils, and taking them upstairs to her own apartment.
    Ezigbo..onye ara!!!

    2. Amacastel,
      Both of them r divorcees..oh!
Haiti woman in Toronto was a single mother before hooking up with Igbo Anambra man who is also married with kids in Naija & abandoned his wife back home for Marie. Now they 3 more kids together there in Toronto.
On that regards, every right to choose spouse..oh or move on..to move..too!
I belive that marriage is who makes u happy & not tribal or nationality thing!
As Igbo woman, i hate Igbo..oh & forbid my children to marry blacks, let alone Igbo !!!
      God forbid! Tufiakwa!!!
