Today I want to thank God for giving me the best dad in the whole world...I am not exaggerating.
ReplyDeleteMy dad has always shown me that he loves me with all his heart. When I was little, my mum never taught me my homework. My dad was always teaching me. He never keeps late night up till today, he is always around to help. Then time for me to enter boarding school, he bought me everything I needed, even the ones my mum said were not necessary. Provisions were even prohibited in my secondary school but he wrapped them inside my thick blanket so the matron won't find it while searching. Then he always came for my visiting day. He will hide chicken and food under his car seat because our principal refused to allow our parents to bring food for us on visiting days.
What of the times I always came home with bad results in my junior secondary, he never scolded me. Instead he will drink Panadol and keep quiet...damn, my school fees was too expensive. I repeated and he still paid the school fees a second time for me to repeat the class even when relatives were advising him to withdraw me from the school. He will even wash my thick blanket, bedsheet and school bag.
Then when I wanted to write Jamb, they posted me to another state. He said he won't allow me to go with the other students. He closed his shop that day and drove me all the way to write my Jamb exams.
Congrats to your dad. Do him proud. Many are wishing to have good dads but it was not hiven

When I was serving (first time I was receiving salary) , I bought plenty foodstuff and sent home for Christmas. My dad called to thank me and he told me that I should not bother using my money to buy things for the house. That the money I have earned is mine. Then some days after, he came to visit me where I was serving and gave me money.
ReplyDeleteSince I started working, I have never asked my dad for money. But still every Christmas he sends me money and even thanks me for being patient.
The reason why I'm celebrating my dad is because he called me yesterday to give me an advice as my birthday is this month and it's almost here. He told me that I should not pressure any guy to come and marry me. He said infact, I shouldn't bring up marriage while dating a guy. Let the guy be the one talking about marrying me. He told me not to feel pressured at all.
As for me, I don't even feel pressured. My parents don't pressure me...whether directly or indirectly or even using prayers. Right from when I was little the way my parents pray is "God please answer all single ladies prayers by giving them their rightful partners and bless the men by giving them their rightful partners too"
I always show my dad that I love him. I even hug him though I know he is not the type that likes hugging. I keep praying to God to make him live long enough to see my grandkids because I know he will also love them unconditionally.

Got my present job through his influence, encourages me to save & invest. To top it all, he helped me get out of a bad relationship. Stopped the "get married" talk & allowed me be me.

This is because daddy shokey was seen as a successful person even without a certificate. I didn't school in ajegunle, I was sent to Ikoyi for secondary education. And left there after to obafemi awolowo where I got my first and second degrees. He wanted me to further but I wanted to work, get married and give birth to 2 children and then go back for my PhD. Am married to the most wonderful man with a child, a good business going on well and soon I will make Papa proud. ReplyDeleteOne thing I have leant from this Family is to give selflessly, so I was in my room yesterday morning preparing to go out for the days hustle, when I had a knock on my door, opened it and it happens to be one young lady that just gave birth in my street some few months back, the husband traveled and she was asking for #200 to get something to eat, me I have only #1000 in my wallet already budgeted for the day, well I gave her the 1000 to bring me balance of 500 cos as she can see am ready to go out, well she brought me back my balance, I have already made-up my mind to skip breakfast cos that's what I always do when I don't have much on me, so I was in town when a very good old friend of mine called me on phone that his in my town I should come to Giza fast food, oboy I left everything I was doing and zoom I was in Giza, after the normal guys greetings he asked me to order for my food, I shaa ate swallow cos it will sustain me till night, when he was leaving he gave me #2000, I was so happy, when I came back home that night i bought food #600 for my friends from that money, Thank you Lord Jesus cos givers never lack, I pray for all the givers In this Family you will never know lack from generation to generation and to you Stella God Bless you Endlessly.

After my wedding, my husband was always pulling out. When I ask him why and we have an argument over it, he will stop having sex with me. He’d rather masturbate and do it so noisily so that I will know what he’s doing.

He said it so condescendingly that I cried for days, his exact words, date and time he said those words are still fresh in my memory. And not once did he apologize, he just continued living like nothing happened.
I was hurt beyond words but I used his statement to challenge God and I worked harder towards getting a job.
I couldn’t tell anybody what he told me cause I didn’t want to involve a third party in my young marriage.
I didn’t have a job but I wasn’t broke. I could take care of the child on my own, I had an online business and my mother still continued giving me monthly allowance after marriage so I still had a few millions in my account that my husband didn’t know of, I told him how my mum sent me money every month before we got married and he said that nonsense must stop after marriage so I just kept it from him.
My mother sends me money monthly even now that I have a job. Most times I spend more than what she sends to me on her but she said she simply can’t stop. I’m her only child and we went through a lot together after my dad died.
Along the line, his company downsized and his salary was slashed. I soon got a job and I now earn more than he does. He doesn’t know this as I told him I earn 50% of my actual salary.( my husband gets intimidated easily especially when it has to do with money).
Now, he wants to have kids, he’s desperate for children but I have lost interest .
I still want kids, but just not with him.
He knew how badly I wanted kids then, even his mother accused me of not getting pregnant cause I wanted to continue my “baby girl for life” lifestyle after marriage.
Her exact words were “widows don’t always bring up the best children, that she doesn’t even know what my husband sees in me, that I’m too curvy and fashionable to make a good wife. That my mother could only have 1 child so she’s not surprised I can’t even get pregnant” and some other things she said that I’m too embarrassed to type here. My husband heard all these and still kept quiet. He didn’t tell his mother what his real problem was. He just kept quiet and let her pile up all that insult on me.
My mother may have been a widow, I mean who plans to lose their husband when their only child was just 15years old?But She was very strict with me. I married a virgin. My husband was the 2nd guy I ever kissed. He taught me everything I know about sex.
I swallowed all the side comments from his people, my mother begged me to tell her what the problem was, I told her nothing.
Now, I resent my husband to the point of hatred, one night he tried to touch me and I fought him like he was a rapist.
He was surprisingly gentle with me and asked me what the problem was, I broke down and opened up to him. He cried with me and apologized and asked that we see a therapist cause I still couldn’t let him touch me afterwards.
I’ve been seeing a therapist for 4 months now but my mind seems to be made up.
I want a divorce.
My mother thinks it’s too extreme but I have honestly tried to make it work.
Please what do I do?
My mother thinks we should live apart for a while first before I make any decision.

When the Judge, asked her why she used, she stated, “Your Honor, l never used any drugs. I have been sober. But, l swallowed” l almost fell where l stood. Basically, she got a dirty Urine test because her boyfriend she went down on, had used drugs.
Whatever your hubby takes is in him. It will pass on to your baby. That’s why some new Moms on certain medications are not allowed to breast feed while they are on the meds.
Growing up, l noticed babies slept a lot. Never knew the Palm wine the new moms were given was the culprit.
Madam, it is your duty to protect your child. Go back home to your parents if you have nowhere else to turn to. He must also provide for the baby.

How can you people open your mouths and type that homosexuality is a habit! Oh God am pissed since yesterday. My dears there are laws that guide this world we live in. ReplyDeleteIt's not easy to teach children from different family backgrounds but to God be the glory, we are trying our best.
Yesterday while teaching, I noticed this girl was unusually dull. Her eyes were swollen and red like she had been crying. She is 15 and in jss1. She hawks banana in the evenings after close of school. We do fight everyday because she doesn't do her home work. She complains that her mum does not give her time.
Back to the main gist. I called her and to my table and inquired what the problem was, she bursted into tears, now my heart skipped a beat. With all the stories of child molestation in town, tears welled up in my eyes. I consoled her and then she told me.
Her mum sells recharge cards. At night when account was done, it was discovered that #200 was missing. This end-time mum now punished her and her siblings by not giving them breakfast the following morning, they all went to school without food or money. I talked to her. Not wanting to run her mum down, I told her that her mum is struggling so much so they can become success in life and so they should try and assist her by taking care of her business so she doesn't run at a loss.
The motherly side of me said I should carry my food and give to her but on a second thought, I decided to go outside during breaktime and buy her bread and pure water. Only biscuits and sweets are being sold in the school store and students are not allowed to go out. Also, there was no food seller close by.
She loosened up a bit after eating the food.
I got home and narrated to my hubby. I was surprised when he started scolding me. He said what I did was risky. He said if anything had happened to the girl later that day. They would find out what she ate, I would be in trouble. He said I should be careful and stop giving other people's children food, I could give them money and other item.
I just said in my mind, 'it's me that told you, I don't blame you'.
I couldn't have given her money, biscuits are the only snacks she could get in the school. Maybe I did wrong truly? I should have allowed her to get the biscuits herself? Pls advise me my fellow bvs. Was my husband right?

DeleteIt pained me so much when I learnt what my boss' houseboy that ran away was going through. Pained me even more that I didn't do much to help. I wish he had opened up to me that he was always only given 2 slices of bread for breakfast and his next meal would be late at night, around 8pm, another tiny ration of food. Then in between that time, he would still be overloaded with so much work. If I had known, I would have definitely budgeted his lunch break money and damned all the consequences. I just hate seeing kids hungry
My only consolation was that he told his class mates and they would always either buy food for him during break or fill up their food flasks with food and share with him
