    2. 😂😂😂 I saw the headline and quickly ran to my Netflix profile to search for it. Didn’t relax enough to read that it WILL be out on the 15th. Lemme go and set my alarm. We that don’t have immediate access to naija blockbusters can now see what the hype was about

    1. Nope, Lionheart is a Netflix original movie, but chief Daddy ll just be shown on the platform.
Other Nigerian movies have made it to Netflix na. Genevieve's Road to yesterday was on Netflix too but wasn't Netflix original movie.
      There's a huge difference

    2. You’re the only one seeing that. To the pure all things are pure.

    3. What Huge difference...........lol .

Show you know little about Netflix original .

It doesnt work to your advantage as teh film owner (Genevive) because it give Netflix total ownership so as the producer she cannot get additional revenue down the road through licensing and syndication . Any amount in that will go to Netflix .. However Lion heart is such a boring film that it highly unlike to make any extra licensing down the road

forget the lie lie Value she put out there. Netflix paid nothing near that . They dont actually pay so great . Take that free info to the bank and bank it

    5. Netflix did not make LionHeart. They acquired the distribution rights after it was made to make it exclusive to their Platform. Bird Box is a Netflix original because it was developed by Netflix for their platform.

    2. True, but the ones truly making actual sense, aren't rich enough to put them up on bigger platforms.
Some don't even make it to the cinemas.

I've never really been impressed by "Ebonywood"

Biodun Stephen, and the oriahi couple are my fave producers/directors any day.

    3. 12:04 anyone has a chance .they should ask their supporters to email Netflix to get the movie on thrre. If enough people request a movi, Netflix will try to get the movie on the site. Many low budget nigerian movies are on there .

    4. u people just like to talk rubbish without using your head..is anyone stopping them from trying? some people are talented but not smart...if you have not been impressed with ebonywood then you have nothing upstairs...they bring a lot of a-game actors and we see better techniques, locations etc in their movies.. and who told you its only high budget movies on Netflix? if u don't like mo abudu say so but stop being biased like she stopped anyone from displaying their movies everywhere

Since you've got so much "upstairs", please don't choke on all that your sense oh, cause you are obviously allergic to views that differ from yours.

That you find her movies interesting, is your cup of kunu. Mix it with your opinion and sip it in peace Dákun.

  6. Its no news now, there are plenty Nigerian movies showing on Netflix.
Why Lionheart trended was because Netflix bought it over as their original film which has never happened before.
I watched Genevieve's road to yesterday on Netflix in2016.
And I watch Nigerian Urban Kitchen too on Netflix

    2. Nah....Netflix is not your countrys ministry of social development or NNPC where you can sleep ..there are rules and steps to follow ..simple ..dont always bring tribalism into everything you do it will make you stagnant

  11. It is not Netflix original, it will only be shown on the platform but it's not been bought by Netflix the way the bought Lion Heart. They are two different things. To know Netflix originals, you will see Netflix boldly written on the movie when you open the app/platform.

    2. You are right. I was not impressed by her movie FIFTY. The script didn’t make sense. The Dakore Akande character was celebrating her 50th birthday...supposedly she had been raped and impregnated by her father in her teens. Her son/brother looks mid twenties in the film. That whole plot was ridiculous.

    3. Ruth Kadiri’s movies have already been on Netflix. I watched Matters Arising over a year go. The first movie I watched on Netflix 2 years ago was Confusion Na Wa with Ramsey Noauh. There is no competition with Genevieve. Nigerians are already doing big things worldwide.
