So many Nigerians celebs have become social media celebrities and have forgotten their claims to fame...
In this categories are actors,musicians,entertainer ET AL.
They have become instagram,twitter and facebook celebrities and spend all day online posting photos of places travelled to,cars bought and houses bought and the inside out photos and forget to update us on what albums and movies they took part in recently.....
Some of these actors no longer go to locations or shoot movies but have turned a corner of their homes or where ever they deem fit into where they snap hundred times a day......
Sometimes when you post a story about these celebs,you find comments asking what their day jobs are......
We agree and acknowledge that the social media has indeed taken over but do you think exchanging a claim to fame as an actor for a social media celeb is cool?
There so many Nigerian celebs on this table but i dont want to mention anyone so that it doesnt look like this is personal...It is not!!!
What is your take on this?Are you a celeb on this table and reading this right now?
Some have even abandoned their real claim to fame and tagged along newbies that just came to Instagram for nothing as claim to fame.
ReplyDeleteInstagram quaked yesterday.. I laughed as I remembered those ig celebs.. some people are still experiencing some glitches. Yes.the internet is here to stay.. but building a brand/business solely on it is like building on sandy soil

ReplyDeleteWhat people keep forgetting is that one business doesn't sustain people again, you have to diversify. That you are a musician or actor doesn't mean you can't go into real estate or other things, that's even the best time to use that already built platform cause your name is known already and anything you bring out will sell. That an actor hasn't acted for years doesnt mean he doesn't have things keeping him or her busy
