    4. Anonymous 14:49. White has always been considered beautiful at least in the western world. Can’t believe you actually wrote “as if white isn’t beautiful”🙄 White has always been the standard of beauty—look at magazines, advertisements, television. Black skin has been considered ugly and inferior to white skin. People saying Black is Beautiful are embracing their color instead of allowing society to make them feel inferior.

  6. The frustrated ones allowed themselves to be frustrated ni. I watched Chief Daddy last night and I noticed that majority of the actors and actresses in that movie are dark skinned. These actors are even the hot ones in the industry. Then, why are they always singing the anthem of "dark skin is a crime in Naija entertainment industry ".

The industry isn't the reason why those who toned changed their skin colours. They wanted it and they did it with their reasons best known to them.

p:s I'm not saying the light skinned and the ones that toned their skins aren't A list actors oh.

    1. Ina anya ha nti! They think they are in America where everything is all about colour. Dark skin nye nye.

    2. Then you are both ignorant as per the workings of Nollywood!

I have it under good authority that if you are not light skinned, you will not be given a role except you are married to a Director, exceptionally curvy and even if you are connected, it also has its limits!

There has always been serious discrimination against dark skin and nobody is castigating light skin here, but just reality!

  7. Black ladies have too much inferiority complex; they filter their pictures to be a shade or two lighter, then start chanting black is beautiful. Susan stop making excuses for your failed career, Genevieve, Kate, Ini, Omoni, Uche Jumbo, Patience Ozokwor Ireti Doyle, Funke Akindele and Chioma Chukwuka are all Ebony Queens and they made and still making waves.

    1. As in enh
You think.its easy to be buying sunscreen every time, to maintain the "yellowness" is not an easy something.
My sister is enjoying her skin cuz she's the only dark person in our house but the rest of us, if we do anyhow we go see anyhow skin.
Black is even better and cheaper so I.dont know what they are all complaining about

  11. I hate this flimsy excuse of using skin colour as an excuse for not achieving our hearts desire. They should stop blackmailing the producers. All the A list actresses are dark skinned. What is her own sef. This thinking reeks of inferiority complex.

  12. But almost all the star actresses in Nollywood are dark na. The only fair ones I can think of are Rita and Omotola Who aren't all that fair. You people should stop this story abeg, the people that bleach do that so that they can be more visible to their 'big gods', it's not because they want to act film.

BTW, anybody who knows Rachel Okonkwo should help me beg her to stop bleaching. She is such a fantastic actress but she will spoil her skin with those creams. If she must be white, then she should take glutathione shots.

  13. Haba, I don't believe that abeg

  14. In 2019, madam find another excuse.
Most of the successful actresses here are even dark skin, Genevieve, Ini Edo, Kate Henshaw etc and even abroad the likes of Viola Davis, Angela Bassett, Gabrielle Union, Lupita even get more jobs than the light skinned one's sef.

  15. Keep quiet Susan, your bad attitude and you don't even know how to act was what made producers to dump your ass, i remember i was on a set working as a crew member, actually Rukky Sandra,s set,you were so so rude, you abused me cos i was being Friendly with you ,stupid idiot, Genny ,Omotola ,Mercy are all dark.
