Atiku's Legal Team Warns INEC Over Refusal To Produce Polling Documents

The legal team of Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has decried the refusal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to produce polling documents from the February the 23rd, 2019 presidential elections.

This comes even after the Court of Appeal had granted an order directing the commission to allow them access.

Channels reports that a member of the team, Silas Onu, says INEC have continued to deny them access to the materials, which had been inspected and paid for in the previous week.

Onu revealed that efforts to meet with INEC’s legal team have become an uphill task.

He, however, made it clear that they will continue to follow up, until the commission complies with the court order.

Onu also warned that they may be forced to file for contempt against the INEC chairman and other officers of the commission, if they do not give a positive response soon.

  1. Isn't it clear and obvious now that Atiku won that election? If truly INEC are sincere, what stop them from obeying court order for Atiku to inspect the materials used for the fraudulent election?

Mr Yakubu of INEC chairman is a disgrace to Nigeria and everything worth mentioning about integrity. APC has already shown they stole the peoples mandate. Useless people and government.

  4. I am glad that ATIKU is giving INEC hell, this is good for our electoral process and this way next time before any INEC staff decides to collude to rig election with any party they will think twice...INEC needs to be shown that thy are not above the law and that even the INEC chairman himself can go to jail if found wanting on his job.
