Billionaire Business Mogul Dangote Tells What He Did To Convince Himself He Is Rich

Speaking at the Mo Ibrahim governance weekend, in Abidjan Alhaji Aliko Dangote, said framing is not a poor man’s business, you can actually get rich faster with farming.

Speaking further he said to convince himself that he is rich he withdrew $10 million from a bank just to look at it.

He said “After a year or so, I realised that I had much more, and I said OK, fine, all these numbers are just written numbers.

“One day I went to a bank, and at that time, there were no restrictions, and I wrote a cheque and cashed $10m from the bank and put it in the boot of my vehicle, and I went home and I opened it and I looked at $10m and I said ‘now I believe I have Money’.”

He also said that Nigeria will be the largest exporter of cement in Africa by the end of this year and that the Dangote refinery at the end of the day will give 650 barrel of crude and 32 million tonnes of products.

Dangote also said that he does not have a house in London but he knows those who work for him that have houses in London.

  2. He spends his money on more important things. He has a foundation so having a house in London isn't one of his problems. Dangote is a brilliant Nigerian.

    5. If this man likes to see his account balance ‘fat’ like you put it. You think he will ever take these risks?

Taking business risks is not for the faint hearted and absoulutely not for people that just want to have all their money where they can see it all year round.

    1. So because the daughter lived in one it automatically means its his? What if she bought the house herself from the money she gets

    2. Yeah! sure, there've been divergent claims about how he made his money.. I've heard a lot of them, and thats the problem

my point was solely focused on his direct and indirect impact on the economy..

he is self pushing it towards industrialization.

    1. Hmmm, since when? Maybe you work at the corporate office. I was at his sugar factory at Apapa few years ago as we did a job for the factory and what I saw and heard, made me less impressed about his numerous public donations. The manager's were mostly Lebanese and Indians and the workers were treated as slaves. Pay was very poor and workers too intimidated and afraid to use initiative.
