The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Kano State House of Assembly on Wednesday passed a bill establishing four additional emirates and four first class emirs in the state.
NAN also reports that the bill, initiated on Monday, passed first reading on Tuesday and scaled through second and third reading on Wednesday.
Ganduje, who spoke immediately after signing the bill into law, said “this is what the people of Kano State want.
This will encourage active and deeper participation of people of Kano State especially in the rural communities in the affairs of the state.
It will also encourage active participation of traditional rulers in the areas of agriculture, education, health and security.”
The Governor also said that there was need to upgrade the traditional rulers based on their historical antecedents so that aspirations and dreams of their forefathers would come true.
Ganduje added that all other processes for the take off of the new emirates would be completed while letters of appointment and dates of Coronation of the new first class emirs would be fixed.
The new Emirates include Rano, Gaya, Karaye and Bichi.

dailypost.
Hian, Bichi and karaye put together is not larger than a tea pot. I smell a rat. These people are just too vindictive.
ReplyDeleteWay too vindictive
DeleteHmmmmmmmmmmm....
ReplyDeleteDid you see how speedy the bill was presented, passed and consented? This is a clear indication of political vendetta against Emir Sanusi for his stand against thuggery and criminality of Ganduje's government.
ReplyDeleteEmir Sanusi reign has just been reduced to ten local government area out of the forty four local government area in Kano State.
The Kano legislative that couldn't investigate Ganduje kickbacks corruption case but suddenly became happy triggered to passed a bill in less than two days. Its okay, posterity will never forget the wrongs of today.
If Ganduje have had his way, he won't have hesitate to strip Sanusi of the throne but what he has done now, is tantamount of striping him some of his powers and control.
Dear TJ, I learn a lot from analysing posts in the comments section. Please, endeavour to proofread your comments before posting. Your many avoidable (and unacceptable) errors make this one incomprehensible. Thank you
DeleteHe is too Educated, I blv he will handle it calmly. God pls abeg. This country u can’t fight corruption lie lie
DeleteNoted and thanks anon 08:50.
DeleteAnon8.50 it's not about proof-reading. Teejay is intelligent but his spoken English isn't the best, we all know this.
DeleteThis is why I told my husband a good primary school education is very crucial for kids. If you get it wrong from that stage. It all comes tumbling down after it.
Mr. TeeJay. Mature and brilliant response to a troll. Welldone sir.
DeleteBecause Sanusi spoke of your corruption and thuggery in the elections. This is pay back.
ReplyDeleteAnyway good for him. He also was an instrument against jona. Let them taste their own medicine.
Nothing concern me at all
There has never been anytime anything concerns you at all.
DeleteMaybe the man was against him in d just concluded elections and he decided to pay back cos am not sure he would do dt to his buddy
ReplyDeleteDo me I do you. Na dem sabi
ReplyDeleteKaraye is now an emirate.
ReplyDeleteDid Karaye change or moved to the next level?
Or are there several 'Karayes' in Kano?
Very unfortunate..
ReplyDeleteDismantling a cultural and historical structure for selfish reasons. Real sad.
Both Ganduje and his in law Ajimobi has something in common....🤷🏼♀️
ReplyDeleteRevenge mission.
ReplyDeleteAnd GEJ is somewhere just smiling at all of them. The very people that kicked against him are now fighting themselves
ReplyDeleteServes us all right. We all do sidon look while the likes of Gadunje steal with concrete proof. Since he was reelected, he has been empowered. He will do worse in the coming weeks. Glad Oyo folks discarded his arrogant in-law.
ReplyDeleteMake comments based on constitution not sentiment. Don't you know what immunity clause days about trying a sitting governor?
DeleteThere's nothing any one can do until the end of his tenure.
Educate yourself.
What????????? Is the emir's seat now a function of creation of law? What a ridicule to the emirate! All cos of BS?. And the Sultan and other high ranking Monarchs are keeping mum about this??? What a country
ReplyDeleteGandollar the compound fool who has no regard for history, culture and the people will be his own personal undoing!
ReplyDeleteGandollar who is a next to nobody in comparison to Emir Sanusi will fall just like the Rochas of the east pretty soon!
All Hail the Rochas of the East
What this stupid man don't know is, he only had four years while the Emir will be there for life.
