SOME northern leaders, yesterday, gave former President Olusegun Obasanjo hard knocks over his comments that the Boko Haram insurgency was no longer about lack of jobs for youths but a full blown ‘Fulanisation’ of West Africa, Islamisation of Africa and global organised crimes.
Giving the keynote address at the 2019 Synod of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, held in Oleh, Isoko South Local Council of Delta State, weekend, Obasanjo said: ‘’It is no longer an issue of lack of education and lack of employment for our youths in Nigeria, which it began as, it is now West African Fulanisation, African Islamisation and global organised crimes of human trafficking, money laundering, drug trafficking, illegal mining and regime change.’’
The former president’s comments elicited harsh criticisms from northern leaders such as former Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Sule Lamido; Second Republic lawmaker, Dr Junaid Mohammed; and Second Republic Governor of old Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa.
However, the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere; apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo; the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF; former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode; and former Political Adviser to the President, Mr. Akin Osuntokun, said Obasanjo was rigth. from vanguard
An elder statesman should know how to unite his country than heating up the already fragile polity.
ReplyDeleteAnd when the country has refuse to unite as a result of the President being sectional? What do you think and expect people to say?
DeleteWhat do you think is their reason for attacking and killing people in their sleep in Enugu last Monday morning? When these people decide to defend themselves, their brothers in the army step in.
DeleteYou better wakeup and smell the coffee
We have always known this over a long time and when we say it the way it is, they labelled us wailers and called it a hate speech. El Rufal tweeted in 2012 about the resurgence of the Fulanis to take their pound of flesh, and today they are here making good their threats.
ReplyDeleteIf you think Obasanjo an old time military General don't know what he is saying, then you need your brain to be checked for possible test of insanity.
But he is absolutely right.😳😳👧
ReplyDeleteGod pls come to our aid

ReplyDeleteFulanisation, Biafra, Militancy, Insurgence...........
ReplyDeleteThese are modern day nouns, common to not only Nigeria but other countries in Africa. South America have their own version and so does Europe.
We should concentrate on holding our leaders accountable and pave way for infrastructural development across all regions.
Let's stop being a bunch of discord organizers like some people on here.
Only you get brain. These problems are not unique to us.
DeleteObj says nothing but the truth!
ReplyDeleteTHE SIMPLY TRUTH IN ONE SENTENCE
ReplyDeleteHe is saying nothing but the truth. We can't keep beating around the bush. The first step with dealing with them is knowing what they represent. In the US, by now them for done put them on top of the list as terrorists. I don't know why we lack reasoning and right leaders in this country!
ReplyDeleteMost blacks hardly reason with their brains, so it's not a thing of surprise.
DeleteAt least dem get brain. Na last weeks akamu dey your head.
